At first I wondered if Cosby's people had that woman go topless, but I guess she was just an attention-seeker.

This makes me wonder just how that tax plan is really polling. Maybe he can go clone Ayn Rand for his 2020 running mate.

All My Children Tribute Thread
I feel like the show just kept regressing or setting Erica back for story purposes - losing custody of Bianca, the Kendall arrival, the pill addiction, stealing the baby, the facial scars, etc. Some of these stories were very good, but I think they only got as lucky as they did with the stories not taking more of a toll because Susan Lucci is such a charismatic actress and by that time Erica was more of of a touchstone than a character anyway. By the time of the unabortion they seemed to completely be out of ideas for the character. I wonder if Susan may have been better off leaving in the early '00s, after she won her Emmy. Then again, she got another decade of publicity, was known as being a team player, and went on to solid roles after AMC ended, so I guess we can't say she made the wrong decision...

Thanks. I don't think I'd ever seen this. Is Chad the country that was put on the travel ban list for reasons most couldn't fathom? Or was it another country? https://www.politico.com/story/2018/04/10/trump-chad-travel-restrictions-512861

The stories about Stan Lee get worse and worse. It's even more upsetting because you'd think he of all people would have taken steps to protect himself - it just shows no one truly can. https://io9.gizmodo.com/report-the-stan-lee-saga-is-only-getting-stranger-and-1825149805

Oh. Thanks. That's so sad. And it sounds like Becky. I'm glad they remembered Glenn. I loved him on Roseanne, and on Angel. The whole thing still upsets me even though it's been 15 years.

I never really was that into Luke and Reid either. I was mostly interested in Reid at the hospital. It was nice to get that old John Dixon vibe again.

I saw a bit on Tucker Carlson warning against attacking Syria. Sad times when I agree with him... I guess we have no good option - we should never have gotten involved in the first place.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I was reading some comments and one mentioned that the man in the TMZ video with Kim and Kroy who asks when the Wayans were last famous is Michael Beck. If that is true I wonder if he's going to be moved off the show and is just doing the Tardy show now...

I get the idea that it hurts to be called out, but I thought that he would have said something much worse (like whether she has pimped out her daughter) based on their reaction. She has destroyed her face. Not much to deny there. Even thin-skinned Igloo didn't say a lot about the White Chicks jokes on her.

It wasn't just the Jamaica stuff, but also things like Janet taking Brooke's face (which I assume she must not have wanted to do in part because I think Robin said when they rehired her that Broderick came up with a story to keep her around - didn't she say that?), and then all that mess like Dimitri sleeping with Maria, and the baby stealing, and the Jim Thomasen stuff with his past history of exploiting Laura, etc.

I've read that too. It's unfortunate, especially since Broderick (presumably not through her own choice) ended up churning out McTavish-esque material for much of 1996 and 1997 anyway, which was not her strong suit. It ended up being the worst of both worlds.

I remember some claims that the latter was network interference, I don't know. All I know is that I found all the Julia and Noah stuff boring and he annoyed me a great deal. I get the feeling that may have been one of the storylines McTavish was better suited to write. She had a very specific style (for better or worse...). I think if she and Lorraine Broderick had ever been co-headwriters they would have been a perfect fit for AMC.

I have no idea how the general audience felt about her. I did not care for her, and I don't think there was much upset when she was gunned down.

Is that the movie with Gwyneth Paltrow in the fat suit? I've never seen it. What did he do? I heard someone complaining about it a few days ago.
