  1. This is part of a followup of the tweet series I posted in the politics thread yesterday. Dave Rubin is shameless and grimy beyond belief - his "allies" are fine with inciting hatred against him, his husband and children-to-be to their followers, not to mention other queer people, and he still nods along. This is what you become when a desperate need for money rots away any soul you ever had.
  2. Yes, even the guy who tweeted it wrote out in his last tweet he knew how awful they were, he just had to use them because of the quote tweet. I might have agreed a few years ago, but with the GOP now openly saying they will overturn Loving, I think it's just a matter of time, barring something shocking.
  3. An article on the "resurgence" of homophobia in discourse (I'd argue it never went away, and at best was vaguely coded for a brief period, but I think in places like Slate there was more of a bubble - it's still worth a read). And a depressing, long thread on just what is coming within the next few years.
  4. Great find. I skimmed through that episode last night but didn't realize it was right before. The idea of Mac being presumed dead and the effect this would have on his family is interesting - I wonder why they didn't develop it longer.
  5. No problem. I'm so glad it was uploaded. Apparently that WAS Stacey's last scene, for anyone who keeps track of those dates. The date was 2/13/84.
  6. So sad to hear this. He seemed to be the ideal husband who was a rock for Susan in all the ups and downs of showbiz. I can't imagine what she's going through after the last few years she's had.
  7. I'm not surprised. And CBS will skate, as they always do. Warmongering NYT and others who don't want to live without their daddy figure Putin are already working overtime to spin the Ukraine invasion as a success.
  8. @Bright Eyesor @BetterForgotten may be able to answer this. Until Kate Oates and some of the longtime producers are gone I will never see improvement.
  9. From what I've heard the show was terrible from the time Kate Oates took over. Unless they want to just give a pity award, which won't bring the show back and doesn't seem like their style, I don't know if it will happen.
  10. Good catch. They have a few others too.
  11. Thanks. I know you always keep an eye out for things too. There are so many reuploads sometimes I doubt what is or is not new... Jamie's mention in an early clip of two bodies being in the plane would mean that part is sometime in the week of February 6th. Stacey left on the 8th. The end credits mention a TV movie that aired on February 13th (in the US, anyway). So I assume it is all from that point.
  12. Not sure if any of this is already available or not. It is about 16 minutes and seems to range from February 6-13, and includes some footage of Mac in the wild as well as some of Stacey's last scenes (I guess her last was with Jamie), as well as Cecile and Cass, and Rachel with Jamie and Sandy.
  13. Sorry if this was already posted. Some channel has been uploading various material from 1992, with commercials. These never stay up long:
  14. I actually could have seen someone like Gary Tomlin trying the idea.
  15. I don't know what I was tagged into, but whatever it was, thank you for reminding me why I mostly limit myself to a few threads on this board now.
  16. Most of the soap fans who are left would never go for it. I would not be surprised if the actors involved got death threats, to be honest. Considering some GH actors did get death threats it's not very out of the question.
  17. I was disturbed long before Betty passed about the way so many people would use her name on social media to get clout and try to seem funny, A clout tweet every time her name was trending, morbidly obsessing over her death in a way she never would have wanted, year in, year out. This has been another level entirely of crassness, viral tweets about Will Smith hitting her and her cracking her head...it sickens me. Anyway, this is fun:
  18. Chris Rock has been telling jokes like that for decades and keeps on trucking, so I think that's probably why Will knew there wouldn't be much response. (the odd part is Rock even made a documentary about black women and their hair, although I think that faced some controversy). Sad to say that's most of the discourse I've seen today. Never mind that if Mel Gibson had slapped the [!@#$%^&*] out of Chris Rock those same people would be cheering.
  19. I saw a few people on Twitter saying that Bradley was also from Philly, or his mother was. I doubt that was a factor but it interested me. The "West Philly" tweets (and the tweets saying this was just like the season finale of Euphoria, which...oddly, it was) were funnier than any of the comedy I saw/heard about last night. That and the celebrities and politicians who were deleting their tweets ASAP. I wonder if Gaga was chosen for this role because of her support of Tony Bennett. For all the stunts and attention-seeking, she does seem like a kind person at heart. I had forgotten that Will supposedly has ties to $cientology until a few pointed it out. Considering some of the volatile behavior from Tom Cruise over the years, I wonder if this has any involvement. (speaking of that, while I know how meaningless the whole "say gay" thing is, the clip of Travolta not even being able to let himself applaud said platitude made me feel a bit sad) Chris Rock has been making jokes about Jada for years, some of them very harsh, but I don't think Will would have gotten physical if not for all the "entanglement" material elsewhere (including from one of the show's hosts). It's been about 10+ years now since the weird stories about their kids started to put more of a negative spotlight on their marriage, and that has just gotten worse and worse due to the exploitation of August Alina and the car crash that is Red Table Talk. Will has slowly gone from a popular and relatively respected actor to a crying meme, a cuckold. At some point, that has to blow.
