Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Would they really factor fan complaints in with their decisions? I kind of wondered if some of the women were fired because of behind the scenes issues.

Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
If you want to watch Corrie, watch episodes from 1960-1995 or so, or around 03-04. The show in its current form is a rotting corpse, devoid of real humor, family, heart, or believable storytelling.

I asked this at TWOP but don't know if anyone there saw it. Why was Lisa betraying Mason? Robert seems like a real sleaze. It's kind of sad seeing Mason at a relatively happy place in his life, as you know it's just there to be torn down. He really was trying here.

The 1979 episodes released on DVD were also somber. I wonder if ATWT was just always this way, with a few exceptions, like early Lisa.

The superb Kim Rhodes (ex-Cindy, AW) will be back on Supernatural next week. Cross your fingers that she doesn't die. She also has a blog where she talks about her life, politics, gender issues, etc. Won't link as it might be OT.

Bad acting from Greg - he reminds me of John Davidson. This stuff with Greg and Meg is all just sort of overly histrionic and absurd. Meg Bennett doesn't seem entirely right for the role. Who were those people at the pool party? That woman's couch cover overalls are hideous.

A few more episodes I didn't know Ted was having any problems with CC at this time (beyond the angst over insta-child)? What were they? I guess he was gone not long after this. I didn't know Kelly ever worked at Capwell. Did that just start when Carrington took over the role? Robin's Kelly never had a job (beyond being kidnapped or on the run) did she? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_M75ny_ieZM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soVuIV7sj9o

Such a high level of acting here - this CC isn't the best but everyone else is terrific. As much as I love Robin Mattson as Gina, I enjoy Linda Gibboney too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EF-NJsEHCQ

Norma was a comic relief character, a waitress and sometimes a singer. She lived with Gwyn for a while, I think at this time Gwyn had little money.

The Politics Thread
It won't be dealt with. Democrats will likely lose seats in 2014, and Obama and Congress did their best to avoid a lot of stuff in his first term until they either were pushed by legal action (the DADT stuff) or realized they could gain something politically.

The Politics Thread
That's the way it goes. They know gay voters have nowhere else to go, Republicans know those votes are gone, so both sides are happy to deep-six basic human rights.

As I predicted, looks like Mark Sanford will win tonight's SC special election. http://www.politico.com/story/2013/05/mark-sanford-47-elizabeth-colbert-busch-46-90948.html A lot of our media elites love to pooh-pooh and sneer cheap stunts like Sanford debating a cardboard cutout of Nancy Pelosi, but generally, this [!@#$%^&*] works. This is not the cocktail party circuit. This is a 60% Romney district. They will probably send him in because of the R and then bounce him in 2014's primary. Meanwhile, media darling Marco will likely get his way in pushing more anti-gay views in the immigration bill, and, as always, Democrats are happy to throw gays under the bus. http://www.politico.com/story/2013/04/gay-rights-push-threatens-immigration-deal-90807.html Marco knows how to pull the con job. He can woo Latino voters while getting positive PR out of shunning those who likely would never vote for him anyway, due to his long history of homophobic legislation and statements. And the media will swoon on cue.

Close your legs, Yani Gellman. I don't mind delusions as long as they don't hurt anyone, so I'm not going to criticize Georgianne, but those start to go further and further, especially when she says they should have brought her back with RDA. RDA is never coming back, and who can blame him? A great example of why you shouldn't tan excessively.
