  1. That's nice. Where is that from?
  2. Glad to hear it will be a full season again. Hard to believe this was over 20 years ago. The Eastenders part is more ludicrous than ever today, but I miss Wendy and Jon.

  5. I could see Ecclestron being wary of just any director, but I agree most of it is absurd, especially bringing Skinner into the rumor.
  6. I saw a comment saying he should dress like Al on Quantum Leap. That would be interesting, although a little dull. I think he would be minimalist but still have some flair. Not sure if you saw this. http://doctorwhoarchive.com/2013/12/09/christopher-eccleston-provisionally-agreed-to-return-to-doctor-who-source-says/

  8. Thank you for continuing to do this for us.
  9. I think when she first came back they just saw her as a supporting player, then she and Michael sort of took off. After that it's been all over the place.
  10. Lauren had moved out of that role before Phyllis arrived. She was mostly a quasi-vamp in her last year or so in her original Y&R run, with her last story being about her only peripherally, mostly being about Traci and Brad instead. I think the show didn't know what to do with her after the Sheila saga ended. They seemed to have no real idea what to do with her in the late 80s either, and Sheila masked it for a few years.

  12. Lots of good questions and insightful answers. I like the one about Kate's money before she married Victor. I never knew she did any records.

  15. Gimple interview. Might be a little spoilery. http://www.vulture.com/2013/12/walking-dead-postmortem-scott-gimple-governor-rick-tank.html I was reading through the new Walking Dead magazine at the store, and they interviewed Gimple. He talked about how when he was 9 he planned to become a TV producer, and what he'd have to do to make it happen. I didn't realize he wrote 18 Miles Out. That's one of my favorite episodes, mostly for the opening and closing shots of Rick looking at the walker as he drives by.

Yes, I have seen some of those. They're too expensive for me but hopefully someday I may find some. I get very defensive of Crossroads because the show is mostly remembered for having cheap sets, when they actually took some huge risks (they paralyzed Meg's son and never gave him a miracle recovery; they had minority characters in the mid/late 70s, long before it was common on other soaps).

Probably the closest to American soaps that UK soaps got for many years, right down to the long-suffering matriarch, Meg. I tend to think of the show as a British version of the early years of Search for Tomorrow. I wish I could see those 70s episodes again. (the show was more daring and diverse than it gets credit for) This channel has about 8 episodes from 1986. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtnUySbtcYTOONT4-cGBjMg/videos
  18. I know this isn't any type of happy circumstance, I just wanted to say it in case any Melrose fans here wanted to read it - Andrew Shue is quoted a few times in the new People's cover story on Amy Robach (his wife) and her battle with cancer. There are also some photos of the family. They seem happy and he seems very supportive. I wish them the best.
  19. Thank you for those stories from Considine. I always enjoy hearing about live days on soaps. I didn't think he looked too young for Jeanne, but then I wasn't in charge. Can't wait to see the 1990 episodes. I don't want to post it here but - and this may already be known anyway - someone, up to a few months back, put up a fair amount of late 1995 complete episodes. Promo.
  20. I'd never seen this promo before.
