  1. Donna is returning. I assume she'll have a child. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s12/emmerdale/news/a542305/emmerdale-verity-rushworth-to-return-as-marlon-dingles-ex-donna.html?utm_source=frms&utm_medium=dsf&utm_campaign=forums
  2. Do you think they keep Kim because of a contract deal with Kyle, or because they see her as being a contrast to most of the glam women without being excessively trashy, or because she doesn't like Yolanda and Lisa and that means the "team" thing keeps going without them having to bring in someone new who wouldn't like Yolanda and Lisa? Kim doesn't bother me when I watch the show, but the whole thing with the dog does, because she really shouldn't have a dog like that, ever, and it makes me uneasy.
  3. I think there were some tender, beautiful moments from Laurie Holden - Amy's death scene. Her own death scene. The problem was they mistakenly believed she was a central character and therefore had to be put in aggressive moments on the farm, or strutting around Woodbury. The character hadn't earned that place. And on the farm she often just seemed harsh and nasty too much of the time.
  4. I can't see Mike putting up with Alex for long, but the push and pull would have been interesting, far more than the stuff with her doormat, Warren. It's too bad they mostly paired Mike with mousy women.
  5. I know there was some debate over whether Don was fired or if he quit due to long shooting days. I think they killed Hilary off for shock value and also to further marginalize the Bauers. I'm sure they also thought she was frumpy and not hot compared to their new characters.
  6. I think it helps that RHOA is more character-driven and, while Nena is the star, it's not really star-driven. Something like Beverly Hills seems to have put most of its eggs in one or two baskets and, in Brandi's case, she smashed the eggs all over their head.
  7. Lisa Rinna was on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills tonight.
  8. Yeah I remember the clips of Brenda Jill trying to make Michael jealous during his date with the infamous Mandy Krimper. I just never knew it became so serious. I wonder what happened between them during 1988. I guess I should go read the recaps again.
  9. Finally watched the second one. The Jill material is fascinating to me, because so much of it is a surprise. Jill being THAT eager to get Michael Crawford to marry her? Was this a holdover from the Brenda days? I guess Michael was gone not long after this, but were they planned to marry, then something changed in the writing? Jess and Terry Lester are rough-and-tumble, in the gutter, whereas she and Bergman tend to be a little more drawing room sniping. My jaw dropped when he said he'd tasted her and she was, essentially, rotten fruit. I know Braeden is seen as having more chemistry with Eileen than with Brenda Epperson, but I actually enjoyed them here. I laughed when she slyly teased him about his "wives." I like how confident and in control Brenda is here.
  10. Nice to see a little of the material which doesn't show up very often, like that Laura Jean story, and the rap story, with that...interesting dance number. Tina's outfit is so cheaply put together (a short green wrap thing with huge shoulder pads) but Karen Witter makes it work. She looks hot. I like how Rauch didn't have her as overly ditzy, which Gottlieb did too often. All the paternity stuff with Max and Asa is a bit tough to get into, but Nick Walker does a good job. I also love Gabrielle trying over and over to cover her tracks and keep Max going the way she wants him to go. You can see why they made Alex nuts after this. Geez. I hate the slicked back look on Bo and Rafe. Carlo looks ridiculous with that tuft of hair at the back. Poor Megan. Jessica Tuck is amazing in that hospital scene with Jake.
  11. These might have already been around, I don't know, but I hadn't seen it. It's a Kevin/Powell scene from the early days of the rape story. They also have a few other clips on this story, from 1993.
  12. Not sure if I've already posted this, but it's material from the time Sarah "died." Also features some of the story about Max being Asa's son. A good example of some of the slog of late Rauch OLTL, although Tonja Walker trying to play Alex as tough/decisive fed is amusing. It's always weird to see Rafe as part of big Buchanan family moments...with poor Clint trying to make a joke.
  13. Meanwhile, the "Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association" is pushing for an "uprising" to make clerks violate the law about marriage licenses in Utah. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/utah-same-sex-marriage-opponents-call-for-uprising What does any of this have to do with the Constitution or peace?
  14. That was in The Five Doctors.
  15. One of the most nonsensical articles I've ever read. http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/tvandradioblog/2014/jan/03/sherlock-doctor-who-fans-influencing-tv What is the example of fans influencing Who? That's it. And of course people are using this article as gospel, and inventing all sorts of other things that weren't even said in the article (tying up the loose ends of the exploding TARDIS and such) to try to give it credibility. The above has nothing to do with pandering to fans. It's clearly something that Moffat has been wanting to do for a long time. The joke is that this man apparently wrote a gushing review of The End of Time, comparing it to Shakespeare. TEOT is the most fan pandering nonsense imaginable. It's too bad that the UK press does the same contortions-for-hipness that has soured so much media coverage in the US.
  16. It's nice that Tyler Perry takes the show seriously enough to do a serious promo, one that is "soapy" in a way that isn't making fun of fans, or of the show itself. I appreciate that. Unfortunately, he's a very jarring presence, and the lines he's reading are corny as hell.
  17. Carly's long-lost cousin, who has "a past" with Franco.
  18. "The Jabot Manifestation" sounds like an alien invasion. Thanks for including the ATWT and B&B ads.
  19. Don't think this has been on Youtube before. Ava makes me happy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSPwuDftV8M
  20. Would you rather we comment here or on the videos? I'll post here for now. I watched the first one. Was the man Jill talking about Michael Crawford? I always enjoy the Rex/Jill relationship. Jess looked lovely there. There's a certain white trash chic look which Jill was sporting in that moment. Did Katherine know about Rex's lies by this time? I'm sure she must have. Nikki being a glorious bitch as only she can. Douglas was OTT with Leanna. I think one of the synopses said he had feelings for her after this? That makes sense. This must be a transition period for Leanna, as she's not crazy, but also not comic relief. Cricket's wearing her blouse the way some women do when they're starting to hide a pregnancy. So was she split from Scott by this point? I had to laugh at Danny's comments. Oh, he's not your father, because if he was, he'd be ashamed and wouldn't want to come and meet you. That scene with Nina, Philip, and the old woman was sweet, although totally unrealistic (in real life she would have glared at them or told the waiter to shut that baby up). That poor woman clearly had a bad read on everything. Do you know who was playing her? She looked familiar.
  21. Great work. Can't wait to see the next part. Kirkland sure moves fast. Who is playing Tyrone's mother?
  22. I can't remember seeing the part with the scalpel before. That's such an awesome scene. A real gut punch. Today it would probably be "slut" and "whore" and all the rest, but Sheila's words had much more impact.
