  1. When this was hyped as a social issue story which was supposed to shed light on an important topic, then everything has a message. And if the message here is that JP is an idiot and as a result you have to be the "right" kind of rape victim to get viewer sympathy, then the story is sending a horrible, horrible message.
  2. Another reason this story is offensive, dangerous trash. The message of this story is that if you report a rape, you will go to jail; the other message is that if you have an affair, then you will be raped and you will deserve it.
  3. He was Reid's uncle. Lily and Holden went to see him after Reid died and...I don't really remember the rest. I think he played chess and was homophobic.
  4. I thought this was interesting. Apparently Carlton and Allison Dubois are friendly (or were, I don't know)? https://twitter.com/KyleRichards18/status/448326167083626496
  5. I'm sorry to hear that. Was she in any of the available episodes?

  7. Kandi's mother and friend at the bridal shop.
  8. I could see Maggie's selfishness in that Bob and Sasha needed her, but I have no real pity for the people with Glenn. They sat back and watched while he, sick and overheated from that riot gear, killed walkers, and Tara (who had no real idea what she was doing) had to finish the job. Then they took him when he couldn't say no. Then when he tried to leave, Abraham forcibly stopped him. He wanted to leave again and they went with him, because idiot Eugene destroyed their vehicle. After he saw Maggie's signs, yet again he told them to leave and they chose to come back. I do feel somewhat sorry for Tara, but she chose to go with Glenn; he never expected her to do so.
  9. I doubt it. They probably just didn't think it would be noticeable if she didn't mention Beth, as she and Beth have never had a ton of interaction.
  10. Kim looks so scared in photos... Wait, that's more of a, "Why am I here?" face. She has a point...

  13. Early on Daryl was a loose cannon - it took physical force to keep him in line, and even on the farm, he nearly hit Carol at one point. I think a lot of that went away once he was fully embraced by the group. I guess he's now regressed more to the little brother who was scared, rather than the one in the first season who put on more of a front. I feel like they don't want to go too far with Daryl, because he's such a fan favorite. I understand why they are hesitant, but sometimes I think it takes away story possibilities.
  14. A lot of fans think this may be it for Maggie, between how upset Lauren Cohan was when she was on Talking Dead when Hershel was killed, and that scene of her burning the photo. As for the episode - I'd actually expected worse from what I'd heard online. I enjoyed the big reunion between Maggie and Glenn and the quiet moment when they were alone. I like that they are their own little world. I appreciate Glenn's friendship with Tara and how he repaid her for her trying so hard to help him. The Daryl stuff wasn't all that interesting (I guess this his low point as he doesn't feel he will ever have more), but I do think Joe is fascinating; very much like a colder, less volatile, more dangerous version of Merle Dixon. I was happy to see Rick, Michonne, and Carl again. For about sixty seconds. I love that little group. The only real downside was Abraham, Eugene, and Rosita. Eugene is amusing in small doses but the other two seem brain dead for believing him. And whoever plays Rosita can't act.
  15. I have rarely felt like cable shows are short on filler. I think that this is something which is used to sell cable shows as superior to network shows, more than something that has ever actually been. The Sopranos was the definition of filler most of the years it was on the air. I have never watched a cable show that did not have tons of filler. Even shows like Game of Thrones, that are set in about 20 different places, often grind to a halt so that we can see women grinding on various men (or each other). I actually think TWD has had less filler this season than previous seasons, but there's still plenty of dead spots. I feel like Daryl is a child at this point. The contrast between Daryl and Joe (the leader of the group) was striking, because, yes, he was a monster, but he was so commanding and menacing. Jeff Kober sold so many layers I haven't seen in Daryl since Daryl became a pin-up for viewers.
  16. Change that to Daryl and I would agree. (I don't hate Daryl, I'm just bored of him and I don't really care about any of his relationships now, except his friendship with Rick)
  17. I doubt it has much to do with that "lie." Democrats lost big in 2010 as well. The truth is that the President in control of the White House almost always loses big in Congress during the midterms for his second term. I think the only exception in recent memory was 1998.
  18. I'm so frightened of what this will lead to. Hell, I won't be surprised if a Republican House and Senate try to annex us to be part of Russia. They love Putin enough.
  19. This must have been just about it for Maree.
  20. That's sad to hear. He was wonderful in all his soap roles, even the thankless bit at the end of ATWT.
