  1. Marie looks so much like Joan Collins in that era.
  2. Great to see Lisa back. And all the references to Edge of Night, and Marshall Kramer (I hope we can see Dana again too).
  3. Great cliffhanger. I'm glad to see Cass and Stacey talking about a case. Gregory is such a hothead. Nice reintroduction of Steven.
  4. Thank you, slick jones. I didn't realize she played Monica. Huh.
  5. Jean's sister was named Carol. You made me go and look through some 1991 GL stuff - I'd forgotten how much I loved Kimberly Simms as Mindy and that whole young female group (Harley, Mindy, SS Blake). A lot of that was dismantled by JFP in 1992 (that's when Harley and Mindy were made appendages of men, and SS left) and the show just wasn't the same for me. Does anyone know who was playing Roger's henchwoman, Suzanne? She looks so familiar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nM9MkbYFkmI
  6. He does look the same, but he needs a haircut (then again he did for most of his ATWT run).
  7. She was on AW from 86-87 as Peggy Lazarus, a lawyer. She was also Peter Love's lover. The part was supposed to lead to more but they had a regime change and she vanished.
  8. She was on the show twice - in 1978 as Tina, a woman who faked agoraphobia to try to steal Grant from Lisa, and then in 1993 as a widow, Patricia Kinglsey, in that endless, tedious Kingsley-Malta "intrigue" story.
  9. I guess those two weren't in that new studio for long...
  10. He actually sort of makes that look good.
  11. Eric who is your avi? I think Kenya will be destroyed in a format like CA. Brandi - look out for those hot lights... Don't they hate each other? I wonder if they will fight. I wish Sheree would come back.
  12. Looks like Sunday's episode was accidentally released in the UK. A Carol fan liveblogged it (there is no video or screencaps, just a description). If anyone wants the info, PM me.
  13. Oh I thought the father was gone by then, and maybe Jade. Thanks.
  14. How many in the family were still around when he joined as Joe?
  15. Comments on the full episode: Mei-Ling is a huge, vile bitch. The actress is good at bitchy but it makes me want her to fall through a trap door. This is such a weird story. Can you imagine how NBC Daytime viewers felt in summer 1988 with AW and SB doing back-to-back stories about unstable Vietnam War personalities? Warren Burton is playing...every Warren Burton character ever. Is this the happiest Eden and Cruz ever were? Andrea seems a little wet, but it might just be the story. I know Cain was mentally ill when he held Eden captive but their interaction is still a tough adjustment for me. The whole Sarah story is somewhat filler...Sarah is scared and breaks a glass and leaves and finds Julia and then Julia leaves her but OK everything is fine (was Sarah being watched early in the episode or was that just a camera angel?). I wanted to scream for her to lock the door. Those loneliness scenes with Sarah and Julia were powerful, as was Julia breaking down in Michael's arms. Good work from NLG. I haven't seen as much of Brandon as I have in these last few episodes. He loves Gina so much. Hearing them say they'll always be there for each other makes me sad, as didn't some of you say that after she has a baby she loses all interest in him?
  16. I thought she said she was done with that show.
  17. Apparently they've never heard of Rick/Michonne. You're right though - he fanned those flames for ages (and he openly pushed for a Daryl/Michonne pairing). Can't have it both ways. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/03/13/norman-reedus-daryl-doesn-t-need-romance-the-walking-dead-isn-t-about-erections.html The haircut stuff is hilarious. He is obviously very rattled about that. I get what he's saying, but his hair looks like [!@#$%^&*].
  18. That would have been a great twist.
  19. That hack Klein admits he never even read any of Ambrisino's work. This is why I don't trust fake ass liberals. http://prospect.org/article/ezra-kleins-queer-new-hire
  20. My favorite was always that hilarious mess with Blake strangling Alexis.
  21. Thanks. I guess it seemed like more to me because that show made me space out like few things ever have.
  22. I tend to remember lots of lingering shots of somber, sorrowful faces in very dark lighting. And endless blathering from ponderous twits like Baltar, which was apparently supposed to be profound. By the end there was also extensive airtime devoted to Starbuck solemnly staring into space every time a piano played, which made me feel like I was watching Lawrence Welk on downers.
  23. My favorite part was their hissing at Ali Macgraw even though they knew she wasn't a villain. And laughing at that awful Rita character. Poor Linda Evans... Interesting that there was originally no plans to keep Amanda on beyond a year. I guess that helps explain why they had no idea what to do with her from that point. I wonder if they were going to kill her in the massacre. The people who wrote in asking Dynasty to let Emma Samms keep her accent were right. Frankly, the people who wrote in were pretty much right about everything in that column.
