  1. All 1,225 episodes for $419 is pretty tempting...
  2. Trevor is annoying as hell in every episode I've seen with him.
  3. Eric, these 1980 episodes are currently giving me life.
  4. Judging from the Christmas tree in the Jeff/Mary scene, I'm guessing that was December 1974. I had no idea that clip was included in the 25th anniversary episodes, but of course it makes me want more! I wonder if there is anything out there with the original Tad (or Margo).
  5. How long was Joan D'Incecco the casting director?
  6. Okay, so I'm back to being in total awe at how effortlessly and flawlessly Emily pulls off her sh!t. The fire wasn't even brilliant, it was just amazing. It was kind of jarring how quickly the Tyler plotline was pushed aside, and if it wasn't clear before that it was thrown together to extend the season, then it's definitely clear now. I didn't mind it, but I'm glad it's over. Ready to get back to Emily running the Hamptons alongside her trusty sidekick, Nolan. I'm so ready for Amanda and Jack and Declan to just be gonnnnne. I can do without. They're the Blaisdels to the Graysons' Carringtons. My greatest wish for this show in season two is a title change and more Graysons being introduced. I'm gonna need for Ashley to somehow marry her way into the family and then reveal how much she hates Victoria. And Nolan's gonna need some mentally stable schlong. And Lydia needs to come back!
  7. That article annoys me for several reasons. First, neither Nolan or Tyler were said to be gay on the show. Nolan clearly stated that he's a 3 on the Kinsey scale, and nothing that Tyler's done or said has implied that he's solely interested in male companionship. A gay article out and out ignoring bisexuality? Not shocking. Second, Daniel's "pure and justified revulsion" in regards to Tyler's touch was justified because Tyler is batsh!t f!cking insane, and the show never as much as implied that Daniel even knew that Tyler was into him (and, for that matter, the show barely said that Tyler was into him, even if it's highly likely). Third, Tyler's sexuality had NOTHING to do with his mental issues. To be honest, the show could have bypassed the whole Tyler-is-bi angle completely and still told the story it told, for the most part. Fourth, "Not that all gay characters have to be angelic creatures--but" The "but" basically voids the first part of the statement. Don't say you want to see some shady gay characters and then get mad because the gay character is a little too shady for you. Fifth, I'm failing to see how the show wrote Tyler's feelings for Daniel as the primary reason for his nuttiness with his off-meds status only being secondary. And sixth of all, I don't appreciate these people rolling their eyes at my boo, Mr. Daniel Grayson.
  8. *ugly cry* I miss my show bad, yall
  9. That's how I remember it's BBC America run, too. I remember Carl saying they aired older episodes in the early days of the channel, but those were gone by the time I got it. And yes. BBC America is pointless now. Star Trek and The X Files? Really?
  10. "Rip Pat" is trending worldwide on Twitter Her last words were "I don't want to die. I'm scared."
  11. Thank you so much, Ben! That's exactly what I was looking for. I'm shocked at how relatively cheap the various sets are, considering each one has 80 episodes. I did some price conversion, and Amazon generally has them for what equals 40-60 USD. That's 400 DVD-quality episodes for under $300! I only wish we could get something similar for our soaps (and for the other UK soaps!).
  12. Wow, I didn't realize how rushed they were with this entire thing. I hate that phenomenon with young gay couples on soaps -- marriage is supposed to be the next logical step? WTF? They're 17! I also didn't realize that they've already released the 2000-2009 DVD set. I can't find a complete list of episodes, though. Does anyone know what's included?
  13. *openly weeping* I just want to watch a few episodes from that era. Just a few...
  14. Sophie and Sian are engaged?! What in the actual [!@#$%^&*]!
  15. I don't know why, but this one makes me LOL for some reason.
  16. Seriously, though...1983-1984 Erica is such a delicious, delicious diva. "Do you always have to think about yourself?!" And then Mona's like "Oh, this bitch..."
  17. Mr. and Mrs. Cudahy I ache to see them together from the very beginning until the very end. The tapes are there, and I must view them.
  18. Yall do realize we still post in this thread because no one can bring themselves to make a thread on the cancelled soaps board, right?
  19. YES INDEED. Come on into the official primetime soap canon, sweet Revenge! All Ima need now is for Morgan Fairchild to come in as Victoria's sister, and I'm done.
  20. Wait, WHAT? That's not even the story I was talking about, but damn, so he's done it twice? I was talking about 1984, when he was married to Dottie but "in love" with Hillary, and so he was throwing Dottie around and caused her to lose their baby.
  21. I've really grown to dislike Tad a LOT over the last few years. I never realized that his smugness was there from the very beginning (with MEK). I still don't get how people disregard the fact that he caused his wife to have a miscarriage and didn't give a damn.
  22. Ooooh okay. Yeah, Nolan called Emily on her schemes, but it was really the first time in the series so far that he's stepped back and looked at how wrapped up in her revenge plot she's getting. It's gotten to the point where she's even willing to pull schemes on him -- who was originally her only ally -- to get what she wants. Nolan was upset about it because, in the beginning, Emily's father wanted him to make sure she didn't get all tied up in trying to avenge his death. He wanted her to have a good, happy life, and trying to ruin the Graysons just ain't the way. I think that scene did a lot in developing Nolan's character -- showing that while he's desperate for Emily's friendship, he still has a heart and he still feels loyal to David -- and also giving Emily a moment to think about what she's doing. Nolan wasn't the only one to tell her that she's taking on way too much; her mentor guy also abandoned her because he thought she was losing her focus.
  23. On second thought, I'm thinking maybe you're confusing Nolan with Tyler?
  24. SORASing should have been stopped a LONG time ago. This "fiddling with numbers to make characters the right age" bullsh!t is so illogical. So if GL didn't have Alan-Michael in his 20s in 1993, there would have been absolutely no male 20-somethings in Springfield? And let's not act like SORAS is some new, modern soap evil. It's been making things ridiculous since the 1960s (looking at yall, Paul and Dan Stewart).
