Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I’ve been calling for this for two years and I hope Andy is serious. It’s time. I know everybody thinks the solution is to bring back Tamra, Heather and a slew of others and there may be a place for some of them, but I need a major change. I didn’t watch the season but watched the reunion and there are no redeeming factors. I’m not talking about one or two newbies, they need to take their time and come up with a fresh dynamic that works.

Married to Medicine
@TaoboiIve noticed on her YouTube page, as much as she doesn’t like Mariah personally, Heavenly has always said she’s vital to the show and should be there for the drama. I’ve always appreciated that because many HWs don’t see that when they dislike someone. The new cast member is such a blatant Mariah recast that I was pretty disgusted. Especially since they had an issue showcasing that side of Mariah’s life but bring on an Indian family was extremely shady. Beyond that I will say it looks like they deliver as always. I’m so excited by Kari and Lisa Nicole’s returns and I can even put up with Quad. After what Atlanta has been giving us I’m glad Married to Medicine is still in good shape.

ABC: ‘All My Children’: Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos Developing Primetime Version
May-June typically but we don’t know if ABC will pick the show up based on a script or ask for a pilot. Due to Covid it’s hard to put a time table, but at least at that time we should have an update if they decide to pick it up, dump it or redevelop for the following year.

One Life to Live Tribute Thread
These episodes were fantastic! Different from other 70s soap episodes I’ve seen. They seemed to have a style that worked for them and it makes the show stand out. It also felt very modern which I wasn’t expecting. I feel like the episodes moved fast, but they didn’t come off plot driven. There is also a lot of movement between scenes so it doesn’t feel repetitive. The biggest treat for me is finally getting to see the first two Dorian’s and finally being able to say I’ve seen them all. Clair Malis definitely seemed more similar to Robin Strasser and I can see that being an easy transition for viewers. Clair is VERY different from Nancy Pinkerton who had such a dominating presence. I’d love to see more of her in something. It’s always lovely seeing Ellen Holly, but it’s a shame we didn’t get to see her do more. Her exit and the fact that that wrong was never righted is the biggest missed opportunity for OLTL.

Jen was a full time HW, but her husband allegedly is a coke user and had a bit of a breakdown which led to a divorce which all ushered her off the show. She filmed almost the entire season, but this happened towards the end and she had to pull back.

MTV: RuPaul's Drag Race
The longer season is because due to Covid they couldn’t do Celebrity Drag Race. They extended this season and added more queens for the upcoming All Stars season to make up for the four episodes lost. For me, season 13 has been difficult to get into. This four episode season premiere has been too long for me. I do like the black girls this season, but overall I’m bored. The styling of the girls is becoming too predictable, which makes sense now that Yvie had said that pretty much everybody uses the same 2-3 designers. I’d love a season with no NYC of Chicago queens. On the flip side Drag Race UK is absolutely amazing! They completely stepped it up this season. Each episode has flown by so far. Such a diversity in drag and the personalities are HUGE. You can tell Michelle and Ru are more invested. I also think Alan Carr and Graham Norton are better judges than their US counterparts. I was concerned with how I’d manage watching two series at once, but I think my focus will be more on UK and I’ll binge the US one later.

@Taoboi The only reason I believe Braunwyn isn’t returning is because it’s leaked why Shannon is so mad at her at the reunion...Braunwyn allegedly offered Shannon’s 14 year old daughter coke. Even worse, Braunwyn isn’t denying it, instead claiming she doesn’t remember. I don’t see how you can come back from that. On the subject of production companies, they do impact the quality of the show. You can tell just looking at how some have handled Covid compared to others. New Jersey looks like a regular season and although it’s mostly home based, Dallas is pretty seamless as well. ATL on the other hand can’t even get their cast in the room together and they’ve clearly let Covid take over the show. I’m very curious how NYC and BH will handle it. Also, we see Salt Lake City had to switch production companies and the original didn’t see the value in keeping Mary despite her being central to the drama. Imagine how the season would’ve went if they edited her out as intended? A good production company can do a lot with the same footage. ATL is in DIRE need of someone with a vision. A vision for casting and the overall chemistry of a group that works. Perhaps they people who do Married to Medicine could help them. That show even on a bad year is entertaining.

Have y’all been paying attention to LVP? She isn’t letting the Vanderpump Rules delay slow her down at all. As we know, she has Vanderpump Dogs coming to Peacock and she recently got announced as a judge on Rebel Wilson’s dog grooming show for ABC. Then today people figured out she has yet another show, a talk show it seems coming to E! It’ll be a collection of dinner parties with different themes and a group of celebrity guests invited to Villa Rosa.

That RHOA trailer says a lot. For one, I think we’re in for a much shorter season that we are used to. They have already cut so much footage to get to the group scenes and excitement, plus how u gonna release essentially a mid season promo after 5 episodes? If they don’t give us a retool for RHOA and OC I’m going to be furious. They have to get better with casting. I also think this is why Married to Medicine is being held so it can replace RHOA and keep sundays going until Potomac is ready.

@Gray BunnyI believe they filled last Thursday or Friday and we have 13 regular episodes. Andy said this was the longest first season reunion. Heather also said she went crazy at the reunion and also that Mary talks a lot and they explain why she went MIA.

Wendy should be on New York. If she’s willing to accept Miami as a friend, I’d offer her M O N E Y to be full time on New York. Great first reunion looks! Meredith is the only miss for me.

The RHONY with Covid I feel has to be Leah. I haven’t seen her with the ladies. Sonja, Luann and Ramona just filmed an event last week (which may have included others) and Ramona is filming today. Sonja is traveling so I don’t see it being her. RHONJ looks AMAZING! I had no intentions of watching, knew nothing about filming and hey blew me away! I cannot wait! Also, similar to Dallas it looks like they’ll handle Covid very well. RHOD - I was shocked that it’s only week two and the ladies seem to be souring on Tiffany so quick. I feel like with Stephanie and Kameron I sense some jealousy. Yes both of them are rich, but Tiffany’s husband is worth more than them combined. I feel the same with Kary. Also, I know everybody hates Kary, but I think she is just the perfect messy housewife. She isn’t likable to me as a person, but I just love her in the mix because she is so messy. To me she carries the villain torch better than Leanne. I look forward to what she will bring. D’Andra remains a star and I just love her progression as a HW. She truly is a soap character. D’Andra and Tiffany are my dream team.

The Doctors Discussion Thread
Any interviewer should do basic research so you have questions to ask. You could also post places like here and Daytime Royalty (or social media) asking for questions. It’s always annoying when he interviews people he isn’t familiar with bc he goes through the motions and doesn’t do follow up because he doesn’t care.

I’m glad they pushed filming back instead of just going forward like they did with RHONY when Bethenny suddenly quit. They need new blood and had they just gone ahead with the same ladies minus Monique that wouldn’t have worked. The second half of season 5 proved that.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I’ll admit I didn’t pay attention to it at first, but on second glance the placement and body language does seem to tell a story. It’ll be interesting to see if it pans out that way or if we’re just reading into it. I do find it pretty iconic that once again Kyle has a sister on the show and couldn’t be further away from her lol.

I’m guessing Andy’s hope of getting the show on Peacock will come to fruition. I hope they stick with only bringing Adriana back and give us a strong cast. I don’t want them to lean too heavily into the past since season 3 was like 10 years ago. She could be a nice bridge.

@CatI think Star would be great, but she wouldn’t last more than one season. She wouldn’t like the drama if Celebrity Apprentice is any indication.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I agree. I will never complain about new blood. Especially when you have lifers like Robyn and Gizelle who don’t bring much. I know my saying Gizelle is controversial since Bravo has her as the face, but other than her ability to stir up drama she adds NOTHING to the show. Her home scenes are boring and she always has a made up relationship storyline that falls flat. Robyn is there but rarely brings anything fresh. They need one or two newbies that can come in as strong as Monique did. Someone with money, an interesting family life who can just jump in head first. I know it’s unpopular, but I will say again that Omarosa would be an excellent addition. It would never happen, but I’d love for it to. Seeing her on Celebrity Big Brother showed a different side to her and I remember when people watched they were shocked that somehow we fell in love with her lol. She can be devious, but I think this format would give a more well rounded view of who she is. This nothing big, but something I love so I wanted to share. We saw a bit of their friendship developing last season and I’ve loved watching it grow on social media. This likely wasn’t filmed either. I love that such an unlikely pairing has made such a fun and normal friendship. I’m still hoping Sutton gets her Diamond and also hoping that Garcelle doesn’t roll over and become friends with Rinna again.

So it looks like Monique’s surprise exit is causing them to bring in new blood. Originally I had heard we may get a new friend, but no flute holders. The mention of season 5 has me expecting at least two new faces. With Monique gone it’s going to be hard to replace her so I get why they’re scrambling. Unfortunately this all could’ve been avoided had they been fair.

Dallas was almost perfect! I love that they have the women in bubbles and they only go to each other’s homes. It’s good that they all have nice homes to film in. It felt very natural and you really didn’t feel Covid as much as you do on some of the other series. The part that DIDN’T work was Brandi. She weaponized her tears in case anybody was going to be critical of her and like Tiffany said, it was as if SHE were the victim. I also didn’t like how the ladies tried to gaslight Tiffany and not acknowledge her feelings when pushing on her that she needs to accept and forgive Brandi. I hope she doesn’t become close with Brandi. Beyond that I did like the dynamics and I felt it was so much lighter without Leanne. I think they have the perfect cast right now. Curious to see more of Jen. I didn’t get a good feel for her.

@ErrolThank you for that info! I’m hoping everything goes as well as things can and we get casting info throughout Jan and Feb. I feel that’ll do a lot to comfort fans and get them excited. Especially if some of the announcements are people we know and love. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The production thing confuses me. There are rumors that the production company switched during filming and another that they switched AFTER filming because Bravo didn’t like the episode edits provided by the original company.

Get ready for a Samantha-less "Sex and The City"...
Enough time has passed to easily write out Samantha, but I’d honestly be open for a recast since Kim absolutely won’t return.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Last week, many (myself included) wondered why Mary barely appeared. As we know, they switched production companies at some point, so Mary won’t be appearing until the finale. I’m assuming this means she won’t be on the cast trip either. I’m so confused how this happened. Was she hired full time and then made part time? If she was always part time I wonder why they suddenly stopped filming her? Apparently when the new company started editing the show, *they* liked her and are the ones who made her full time. If this is true I’ll be disappointed. She was fun and crazy. I hope it doesn’t get boring. The past couple episodes have been borderline.
