  1. A few minutes ago I got the chance to speak with Suzanne Rogers about her 50th anniversary. She is such a sweetheart. Just speaking with her nearly had me in tears.
  2. Walt Willey is set to return to “General Hospital” as his former “All My Children” character Jackson Montgomery, beginning Tuesday, August 29. In teasing his return to the daytime drama series, Willey said on Twitter, “Lots of other surprises in store so stay tuned (as they say)!” As for his return to daytime, Willey notes, “This has been so much fun, to put on the ol’ grease paint and good clothes and entertain YOU, to hang with fellow actors who know how very fortunate we are, to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones along the way, to feel the love and support you’ve shown me for nearly thirty years just well up and spill over me.” He added, “Thanks to ‘General Hospital’s EP, Frank Valentini, for digging me out of the mothballs! And to YOU for caring that he did!” During his mid-July debut on “General Hospital,” Willey appeared in three episodes with the actor sharing scenes with Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe) and Kristina Wagner (Felicia Scorpio) as the women tried to get the goods on Lucy’s man friend Martin Grey (played by Willey’s former “All My Children” co-star Michael E. Knight). Presumably, Jackson will continue playing an active role in the side story, airing across two episodes this time, according to a tweet by the actor. He appears in the Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30 episodes. Lynn Herring, Walt Willey, Kristina Wagner (“General Hospital”) Photo by Christine Bartolucci/ABC Willey joined the cast of “All My Children” in 1987 and played Jackson Montgomery until the show’s series finale which aired on September 23, 2011. In the final moments of the episode, Jackson told Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) he could no longer stand by her and that she can go to Los Angeles alone after she told him she didn’t want to marry him. As he leaves the room, seemingly walking away from her for good, Erica runs after Jackson, begging him to listen to her. In the end, Jackson spouts the line, “Frankly, Erica, I don’t give a damn what you need,” referencing the famous quote from the 1939 classic film, “Gone with the Wind,” wherein Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) tells Scarlett O’Hara (Vivien Leigh), “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.” Upon hearing the updated line on “All My Children,” Erica’s run to catch up with Jackson just happens to coincide with JR Chandler (then played by Jacob Young) aiming his gun and firing a shot, leaving fans pondering who got shot – in the 2013 reboot it was revealed to be JR’s ex-wife, Marissa Tasker (Sarah Glendening). Before joining “All My Children,” Willey played characters on such soaps as “The Edge of Night,” “Another World,” “As The World Turns,” and “Ryan’s Hope.” His most recent acting credit is as Gregory Ashford in the digital drama series “Tainted Dreams.” Willey also played the role of Jackson Montgomery over a series of episodes on the short-lived daytime drama “The City,” a spinoff of “Loving” which itself was a pseudo-spinoff “All My Children.” The late Agnes Nixon created all three shows. Check out a clip of Willey’s recent appearance on “General Hospital” below. 4. Earlier today we reported what fans can expect to see during the upcoming season of “Tamron Hall,” now comes word that the ABC Owned Television stations in New York (WABC), Philadelphia (WPVI) and Raleigh-Durham (WTVD) will be moving the daytime talk show outs of its longtime 10:00 a.m. time slot, effective Monday, September 11, in place of all-new local newscasts, despite record-breaking season four ratings. “Tamron Hall” will instead be moved to the afternoon, taking over the 2:00 p.m. time slot in those markets, aligning her with the other ABC Owned Television Stations’ afternoon programming. Chad Matthews Courtesy of ABC “Tamron has had an exceptional year, and I know this move will grow her incredibly passionate Tam Fam even more,” said Chad Matthews, president, ABC Owned Television Stations. “And the addition of local news programming at 10 a.m. – led by these extraordinary teams – will allow us to dig even deeper into the topics and events that showcase our local communities and the issues most impacting them, as well as extend and expand upon breaking news and topics being discussed on ‘Good Morning America’ and ‘Live with Kelly and Mark.’” At ABC7/WABC-TV New York, co-anchors Shirleen Allicot and Mike Marza – who has just been promoted from “Eyewitness News Weekends” – will take on the additional 10:00 a.m. time slot. Sam Champion and meteorologist Dani Beckstrom will also join the 10:00 a.m. hour. Meteorologist Brittany Bell – also being promoted from weekends to the weekday mornings – will join Champion weekday mornings for the 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. broadcasts. Meanwhile, 6abc/WPVI-TV Philadelphia’s news anchors Alicia Vitarelli, Alyana Gomez and Nydia Han will host “Action News at 10 a.m.,” with meteorologist Karen Rogers expanding her duties and joining the team with the AccuWeather forecast. Lastly, ABC11/WTVD-TV Raleigh-Durham’s “Eyewitness News” morning newscast will be led by trusted co-anchors John Clark and Barbara Gibbs. They will be joined by meteorologist Kweilyn Murphy. Overall, the eight owned ABC television stations are multiplatform local news and information leaders. Collectively No. 1 across all U.S. television, reaching 23% of households and more than 34 million Total Viewers and 62 million digital visitors a month, with a record of 2.2 billion minutes streamed, the eight stations are comprised of WABC-TV New York, KABC-TV Los Angeles, WLS-TV Chicago, WPVI-TV Philadelphia, KGO-TV San Francisco, KTRK-TV Houston, WTVD-TV Raleigh-Durham and KFSN-TV Fresno. WABC-New York, in particular, has remained the No. 1 station in the country for 19 years. “Tamron Hall” launches Season 5 on Tuesday, September 5. 5. Never thought of it this way but you are right. Sharon and Nicholas play too young. Sharon is currently involved/semi-involved with Chance while Nicholas is with Sally. In a perfect world, the triangle would have been with Noah, Sally and Chance since the two men are essentially in the same age group as Liam and Wyatt on The Bold and the Beautiful, which are characters Sally played against when the character was on that show. Meanwhile, Sharon and Nicholas would play more into the Bill/Ridge/Brooke/Taylor group, even though for the most part they are a few years younger than that group.
  6. That literally makes no sense. Why would someone declare Fi-Core after getting fired from a soap? Again, per Toups' article, Sheffer went Fi-Core but was then told he wasn't needed by Corday and was fired as a result (after the strike). In fact, here is where Toups reported Sheffer going Fi-Core, which took place in early January 2008: https://www.soapoperanetwork.com/2008/02/breaking-news-list-of-financial-core-writers And here is his report on Sheffer joining Y&R as Co-HW with further details on the DAYS issue.
  7. There are two separate things on the sidebar right now. "The Latest" lists five semi-random (mostly recent) articles with images as a visual. The idea is to read articles that are published on the website and again, they are generally the more recent articles published on the site. This is generated by algorithms setup by a third party. I have no direct control over it. "News and TV/Movies Headlines" displays the latest 10 articles posted in the SoapsLine forum. Correct. Unlike the main website, the SON Community has a large Desktop following which is where the sidebar did come in handy, particularly in showing the most current discussions. The only downside I saw from the feature was that some threads still might not get attention due to most of the current discussion being geared towards more popular threads like you said.
  8. Courtesy of ABC News (via Screengrab) After a record-breaking fourth season where it emerged as the most improved returning one-hour daytime talk show, growing by double digits in Total Viewers and Women 25-54, and the only returning one-hour daytime talk show to improve in all three key measures, Season 5 of “Tamron Hall,” hosted and executive produced by Tamron Hall, promises to bring viewers more moving, fun, inspiring and topical conversations as the veteran journalist connects through engaging, entertaining and newsmaking interviews. The all-new season of the nationally syndicated daytime show is set to launch on Tuesday, September 5 (check local listings). “The number five is said to represent freedom and curiosity, and with season five we are holding nothing back,” said Hall. “Personally, I feel freer than ever to bring authentic and meaningful experiences to the Tam Fam. There is no better feeling than keeping it real and sharing that with our guests and our audience.” “Entering season five of a talk show is a true milestone, especially in today’s media landscape, and it’s clear why ‘Tamron Hall’ is the only one-hour daytime talk show that continues to grow its audience across all key measures,” noted ABC News President Kim Godwin. “Tamron’s conversation-starting interviews and invigorating discussions continue to tap into the zeitgeist and the heartbeat of America.” “Tamron continues to win over viewers with her in-depth, thought-provoking interviews and genuine exuberance and passion for helping to make a difference in people’s lives,” said Chad Matthews, president of ABC Owned Television Stations. “We are very much looking forward to season five. With her signature style and ability to ‘keep it real’ with audiences, we know that it will be the best one yet.” “We are just as excited as the Tam Fam for season five!” said Quiana Burns, executive producer. “We made it this far because of the loyalty we’ve built with our dedicated viewers, and this season we’re proud to be delivering a unique combination of hard-hitting interviews, important topics, joy, fun and so much more.” In an all-new promo, Tamron Hall surprises some of her biggest “Tam Fam” fans at New York City’s Madison Square Park, where they reveal some of the things they love about the daytime talk show and its host. With Hall watching from backstage, the lucky fans get the chance to meet the host as they talk about what to expect from Season 5. Season four highlights included an on-site Uvalde special following the tragic school shooting, an hour on the banned books controversy, an exclusive interview and behind-the-scenes look at Usher’s Las Vegas residency, sit-downs with former first lady Michelle Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; and exclusive daytime interviews with Michelle Branch, Niecy Nash-Betts and her partner, Jessica Betts; “Blac Chyna” Angela White, Elizabeth Smart, Erykah Badu, Salt-N-Pepa, Tanya Tucker, Terrell Owens and more. “Tamron Hall” was recently honored with three nominations for the 2023 Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host, an award Hall has won twice. The daytime talk show was also nominated for an NAACP Image award and a GLAAD media award in 2023. Featuring a dynamic mix of live and taped shows, the show is executive produced by Hall and Quiana Burns and is broadcast from New York City. ABC News produces with Disney Entertainment distributing in national syndication. For times and channels, visit the show’s official website and follow the show on social media @TamronHallShow. 9. According to Toups' exclusive report at the time, Sheffer elected to go Fi-Core during the strike (2007/2008). However, Corday decided not to use his services and fired him. However, Sheffer went on to join "The Young and the Restless" as that show's co-head writer. Now, the question is was Corday legally allowed to fire Sheffer at the time since he went Fi-Core during a strike? I believe the answer is yes in that regard, otherwise, Sheffer could have remained the show's head writer as a striking member and could not have been fired until after the strike was officially over as that would have been illegal to do. Then again, his going on to become a co-head writer at Y&R could be Sony's way of making up for his firing at DAYS. Otherwise, I found nothing on Corday paying Sheffer "a hefty fine" for being fired. Source? I think there might be confusion on the matter due to this:
  10. Errol replied to Bright Eyes's topic in Support Desk
Yes, it did. I was advised to increase the font to 18px as believe it or not, it helps with revenue. Also, some posters have been outright vocal about using ad blockers while viewing the message boards over the years, which I touched upon recently in another thread. Since advertising is the only revenue stream keeping the lights on, I must do everything possible to increase the numbers. Otherwise, it's not worth spending money on the place if I can't afford to. As it stands, the message boards continue being a money loser month after month. Note: To be clear, before the change earlier this week to 18px, the font size for posts was 16px.
  11. People were complaining they were seeing posts from users they put on ignore.
  12. Watched the movie, but the longer it went on, the more I wished it would be over. Didn't read the book, but the movie would have been better off as a series. There were cute parts, but between terrible writing and so-so acting, the film overall fell apart. Completely ignoring or resolving how that "reporter" got access to information about their affair and the Texas plan was jarring and bothered me to no end. The casting of the older brother as the prince who would later become king was a choice. The complete lack of a Secret Service detail in several scenes or the British Royal Guard for that matter, was just lazy. The use of CGI in scenes was also lazy. The quickness of the couple flying back and forth from the U.S. to Britain and vice-versa is also lazy. Actors were cute. Jokes fell flat. Ending was crap.
  13. Firing Ron during a writers strike would probably be a bad look, but if he doesn't come back with better material when it's over, the new EP needs to fire him. It would be illegal to fire a writer during a strike. Not only would they face a lengthy lawsuit by the individual, but they'd be lucky to get another WGA union writer to lead the show's writing team ever again. Only a Fi-Core writer would ever be hired if they ever did that. Which is why it'll never happen (during a strike). It has happened after the strike was over and the new contract was signed, however (see Lynn Marie Latham in 2008).
  14. After responding to a social media post highlighting it being 19 years since she debuted as Belle Black on “Days of our Lives,” actress Martha Madison recently spoke with TV Insider’s Michael Maloney about her decision to exit the daytime drama series with her last appearance scheduled to air sometime in early November. On Thursday, August 10, a Twitter fan account that shares photo collages every day of key points in “Days of our Lives” history noted that it had been 19 years since Madison assumed the role of Belle with a tweet that included screenshots of the actress and her character’s then on-screen love interest, Phillip Kiriakis (then played by actor Kyle Brandt), with the coupling dubbed “Phelle.” In response to the tweet, Madison said, “Feels like yesterday and a million lifetimes ago all at the same time. Thank you to all the fans who supported me on my bumpy journey through Salem. It was a wild ride.” After seeing her response, fans immediately picked up on her words in the past tense, seemingly confirming rumors that Madison had already departed the series earlier this year, and before the outcome of the reported behind-the-scenes turmoil that plagued the series over the last couple of weeks and eventually led to the ouster of now-former co-executive producer Albert Alarr. Speaking of Alarr, he is the one who told Madison back in March, one day before the show received its two-year renewal order from Peacock, that her contract wasn’t being renewed and that Belle would be written off the show, which became a “lightbulb moment” for Madison. “I was surprised to hear I was leaving, too! [Laughs] Actually, I wasn’t,” commented Madison shortly after addressing the quick end to the Belle and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) romance storyline, which she pointed out got wrapped up in just one episode. Greg Rikaart, Martha Madison and Dan Feuerriegel (“Days of our Lives’) Photo by XJJohnson/JPI Studios “Albert called me the day before the renewal was announced to let me know that they decided to write me off the show again. I asked why they chose me, and he said it was budget-dictated. He told me specifics about how they were going to send my character off, and then I thanked him [and] wished him well, and that was that,” Madison says of how she learned she was being let go from the show for the umpteenth time. In the first Deadline article that brought the misconduct investigation to the public’s attention last month, the outlet noted that seven contract actresses had departed the series around the time of layoffs, five of whom were either let go altogether or dropped to recurring status. The remaining two actresses reportedly made the decision to leave the series on their own. “Honestly, the writing had been on the wall since they squashed the EJ and Belle story so abruptly, so I wasn’t fully surprised,” Madison pointed out again in the interview with Maloney. “But then weeks later as I was saying my goodbyes to everyone, I randomly got another script. I was so confused because it indicated that Belle was staying in town, but nobody had spoken to me about that. Ultimately, they said they’d like me to stick around to ‘occasionally do legal stuff,’ and ‘then, you never know what might happen after that,’ and really that was just such a lightbulb moment for me. “In my opinion, Belle was never meant to be a peripheral character. She is the only child of Marlena [Deidre Hall] and John [Drake Hogestyn], and, after 19 years of coming and going from the show, it just finally clicked for me that they were never going to showcase the character the way I felt she should be. So, I declined the opportunity to recur and shot that last episode in April. Don’t get me wrong, I am so grateful to have played Belle for two decades, but I’m ready for more. It was just time to leave.” Even though she formally left the series prior to the ongoing writers and actors strikes, Madison makes it clear that she stands by her words even today, saying, “Yes. I feel like I can be patient now and wait for the right opportunities and the right projects. I’m very lucky that I have a full-time job as a vice-president at a recruitment agency [One Haus]. So, I’m very fortunate that I don’t have to make these career decisions based on financial needs. I’ve worked very hard to get to this place in my life where I’m able to make decisions based on what’s fulfilling for me and what’s going to feel good in my life.” Janet Drucker, Albert Alarr Courtesy of YouTube (via Screengrab); Photo by Howard Wise/JPI Studios With a change in leadership at the show following Alarr’s ouster and Janet Drucker replacing him, Madison might consider returning to the show should they ever reach out, but she’d need some assurances first. “I asked ‘DAYS’ for a contract when the show came back from the covid break in 2020,” Madison reveals. “It was going to require me moving my family back to Los Angeles from Dallas, so I needed some assurance from the show that they were going to use me regularly. I’d still need that [if I were to go back], and like I mentioned before, it would need to be because they were going to tell compelling stories with Belle in a pivotal position in those stories. I’ve spent my entire life, from six years old, training to be an actress. I want to act. “But I think the show is in excellent hands with Janet; she is kind and compassionate and has been there a long time. She is excellent at her job and has the full respect of the cast and crew. I think she’s going to do great.” As for Alarr himself, Madison addresses the matter by saying this: “All I’ll say is that I would not wish that type of public fallout on anyone, and I hope everyone involved is able to find some peace going forward.” Meanwhile, she’s open to other acting projects should they come her way, of course following a hoped-for positive outcome to the actors strike, or even another soap opera which isn’t part of the strike due to differing contracts. “I’m absolutely open to projects that would offer the chance to play a compelling character in a fun and collaborative environment,” Madison says of future possibilities. “I love daytime TV and working in soap operas. I’m a huge fan of the genre. I’d be honored to work on any of the shows. I’d just want to make sure it’s going to be a dynamic character that would be featured regularly.” For more from Madison in her TV Insider interview, click here. 15. In a Facebook live on Sunday, Eric Braeden (“The Young and the Restless”) announced that he is now cancer free. The news comes nearly four months after he first announced his bladder cancer diagnosis. “I want to talk to you tonight because I want to tell you I’m grateful for all of your good thoughts and your prayers,” said Braeden in the video, which ran for nearly 26 minutes overall. “It’s meant a great deal to me, and I can tell you it obviously has helped because I had my last cystoscopy two days ago – that’s when they thread a camera into your bladder – and I’m cancer free! They couldn’t find a damn thing.” Again thanking fans for their support and prayers, Braeden went on to make clear that this does not mean the work is done. “This does not mean that it is all over. I need to still do about three prophylactic infusions,” he says, referring to BCG treatment where they “infuse your bladder with some stuff that apparently kills the cancer.” Braeden shared that his latest update stems from a visit to the doctor three days prior (Friday, August 11), noting, “the original surgeon did a great job getting all the cancer out. I needed the treatment because there were some “high-grade cancer cells left.” In addition to the cancer-free diagnosis, Braeden revealed that he’s waiting for results from a recent MRI which will determine whether the cancer might have spread elsewhere in the body. “And then I should be free for a while,” the actor shared. “Every so often, every few months, I’ll have another cystoscopy, all to find the damn thing early and to fight it. To hell with it.” For more on what Braeden had to say about his health status, watch his Facebook live video below or click here. 16. Are we talking about streaming altogether or just streaming TV services? Regular Streaming Services: Netflix, Max (formerly HBO Max), Hulu, Prime Video, Disney+, Paramount+, Peacock, YouTube, IQIYI Streaming TV Services: Hulu+Live TV, FreeVee, Pluto TV
  17. Correct. Just addressed that matter as you posted. Hope it helps!
  18. The non-issue I see is complaints about someone posting too much. Not seeing your (not you @Vee) last comment on the latest page of a thread because others have since commented is a non-issue to me. Commenting in threads, even when one might be wrong about some of the things they are saying, is not spam and is also a non-issue to me. Real issues are people spamming the board -- real spam like I had to deal with a few weeks back. Registering multiple times, using a VPN or altering an IP address in any way is an issue to me. Threatening people publicly or via PM is an issue for me. Yelling and screaming at each other over a disagreement beyond real vs. reel is an issue for me. That said, since people say that they have a particular person on ignore, even though there is evidence proving otherwise, as I've seen in the last couple of pages of this thread alone, I have removed the community posts sidebar altogether. This way, ignored users will be officially unable to get their posts noticed by those who have them on ignore. Ironically, it benefits the boards in the long run as sidebar ads will now be shown more, at least to those who also aren't using ad blockers (which is a HUGE problem for this place, but that's another conversation).
  19. I fail to see an issue with active posting by one or several users. The point of a message board is to have active discussions. As I am the webmaster and owner of one, you will never make it make sense where I should punish or silence someone because they like to post. If you don't like how much they post in any given topic, which they are free to participate in, you have the ignore button in your settings. Utilize them. The more childish I see the board becoming with always complaining about the most benign issues, I just can't believe this is coming from adults. Someone posts too much and I that's a problem worthy of my attention? Like seriously? I just can't. So someone who posted on the boards couldn't take the fact that someone else who posts on the boards posts too much, in their opinion, and decides to leave. Again, I fail to see how this is an issue warranting any attention whatsoever.
  20. As “Days of our Lives” prepares to say a formal on-screen goodbye to Victor Kiriakis and his portrayer, the late John Aniston, several fan favorites are set to return to the series in tribute, including Jen Lilley (Theresa) and Zach Tinker (Sonny), among others, sources confirm to Soap Opera Network. The actors are set to be a part of the funeral episodes, set to begin airing later this month on the daytime drama series. For Theresa, she’ll be around to support Brady (Eric Martsolf), her former partner and father to their son, Tate, as Brady mourns his grandfather. Meanwhile, Sonny is Victor’s great-nephew and their bond grew ever closer when Sonny came out as gay in 2011 (when played by Freddie Smith). Despite some concerns, Victor continued loving, supporting, and respecting Sonny after he returned to Salem. In fact, Victor’s only concern about the matter was how other people would react to the news. Lilley last appeared on “Days of our Lives” in 2018. She joined the series in July 2013, marking Theresa Donovan’s first appearance on the show as an adult. Lilley left the series in November 2016, going on to make a name for herself in several Hallmark Channel and Great American Family movies. Earlier this year, it was announced she’d be starring in a new holiday movie co-starring Matthew Morrison (“Glee”), titled “Paris Christmas Waltz.” The TV movie will be directed by Michael Damian (“The Young and the Restless”) from an original screenplay he co-wrote with his wife, Janeen Damian. Tinker joined the “Days of our Lives” family in 2021, first appearing in the spinoff series “Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem” (Chapter One). He also played the character in the show’s first Christmas movie, “Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas.” He officially joined the cast of the mothership series in March 2022. Sadly, with little story to tell, the writers wrote Sonny and his partner, Will Horton (Chandler Massey), off the show, with Tinker last appearing as a series regular in December 2022. However, he continued appearing in a recurring capacity throughout early 2023. In January 2023, Tinker reprised his role of Fenmore Baldwin on “The Young and the Restless” for just one episode, which was dedicated to Tracey E. Bregman, who played his on-screen mother Lauren Fenmore, as she celebrated her 40th year on the show. Watch a promo from this week’s episodes of “Days of our Lives” wherein Salem begins to learn the fate of Victor Kiriakis, whose plane has gone down. 22. “Days of our Lives” star Carson Boatman (Johnny DiMera) will soon become a first-time father! The actor recently announced that he and his wife, Julana Dizon, are expecting their first child in December. “Boatman, party of 3!” boasted the happy couple in a dually shared Instagram post that included shots of the sonogram photos, Carson wearing a hat that said “Boat Baby,” again referencing the family name, and the duo leaning in for a kiss as they kept close eye contact. “Congratulations to you beautiful people! Now, be prepared to never sleep again! 😂 🤷🏻‍♀️😘 But seriously, very exciting….,” commented Boatman’s “Days of our Lives” co-star Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe). Other co-stars responded, too, including Stacy Haiduk (Kristen), Raven Bowens (Chanel), Tina Huang (Melinda), Eric Martsolf (Brady), Linsey Godfrey (Sarah), Tamara Braun (Ava), Lucas Adams (Tripp), Greg Rikaart (Leo), Dan Feuerriegel (EJ), Victoria Grace (Wendy), Sal Stowers (Lani), Aketra Sevillian (Talia), Martha Madison (Belle), Blake Berris (ex-Nick), Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami), Zach Tinker (Sonny) and Melissa Reeves (ex-Jennifer), along with the show’s head writer Ron Carlivati, among others. “Coming December 2023 ?? But you already came ???” joked Feuerriegel, who plays Boatman’s on-screen father, EJ DiMera, with a tongue-in-cheek comment that has since garnered more than two dozen replies. With a much more tame response, Adams stated, “Ahhhhh!!! Y’all are gonna be such amazing parents!!!! Congratulations y’all!!!” Both Carson and Julana responded to Adams, with Carson saying, “thanks man! Cant wait to see uncle Lucas and Shelby in action!” Boatman was referring to Adams’ real-life wife, Shelby Wulfert. Meanwhile, Julana said, “thank you 🥹 Excited to add a new little member to the crew!!” While the pair didn’t share the sex of the baby just yet, one can’t help but wonder that their decision to wear mostly blue attire in the photos could indicate that they are expecting a boy or it’s just a coincidence. Either way, congratulations to the happy couple! Carson and Julana were married in July 2021 and recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary. In a post noting the two year mark, Carson said, “Free piggy backs for life. Love you more than words can convey. Happy second anniversary.” The post included a music mix featuring the song “Forever and Ever, Amen” by both Randy Travis and Brent Morgan. Check out the announcement post with the photos below. 23. When Deadline reported a new set of allegations brought against now former “Days of our Lives” co-executive producer Albert Alarr following its initial report on the conclusion of an investigation that cited multiple instances of misconduct on and off set, one allegation that reportedly occurred just a few months ago stood out: “an actress [who] donned a spangly, somewhat tight-fitting ’70s-style jumpsuit and a David Bowie-style flock-of-seagulls haircut for several scenes.” It’s understood that the event allegedly led to Alarr calling the actress who donned said attire and hairstyle a “big d*ke.” In the time since Deadline published their story, reports began circulating that the actress referenced in one of the allegations shared by the outlet was Judi Evans, a veteran on the show who plays Bonnie Lockhart. Said scenes with the look noted in Deadline’s reporting aired today, August 11. “As the actress was walking off the stage with her male co-star, Alarr ‘comes walking on the set and in a big booming voice goes, ‘Hey, you big d*ke,’” said Deadline, citing an insider who was on the set that day. The outlet added that “the shocking remark caught everyone by surprise, evoking gasps among the actress, her co-star and the crew.” Filmed in February of this year, Evans’ scenes had her appearing alongside co-stars Wally Kurth, Robert Scott Wilson, Paul Telfer and Suzanne Rogers. Judi Evans, Paul Telfer, Suzanne Rogers (“Days of our Lives”) Photo by XJJohnson/JPI Studios Following Deadline’s reporting, the Jason47 Facebook page, home of the ultimate “Days of our Lives” historian, confirmed Evans as the actress the trade publication referenced. Further, sources with direct knowledge of the situation, but speaking on condition of anonymity, told Soap Opera Network that Evans was indeed the actress referenced in the Deadline piece. Suzanne Rogers, Judi Evans (“Days of our Lives”) Photo by XJJohnson/JPI Studios Photo by XJJohnson/JPI Studios Alarr, nor his representatives, responded to a request for comment by Soap Opera Network at press time. Meanwhile, Evans seemingly responded to the situation today on social media with an emotional video addressed to the fans as she thanked them for supporting her “not only today but every day for the past 40 years.” “I can’t even begin to tell you how overwhelmed I am by all your love and support, not only today but every day for the past 40 years. It’s truly been my honor and my privilege to be able to entertain you… maybe make you laugh [or] maybe a little cry all these years, and you’ve given me so much more than I think I could possibly ever give you,” said Evans in her emotional video, which shows her on the verge of tears throughout. In the video, Evans says, “You’ve been there with me in the best of times and the worst of times, and your love never fails. And I really do appreciate each and every one of you. I’ve always said it’s because of you that I get to do the one thing in my life that I really love to do: entertain people. “So, thank you! Thank you so much. I really, really, truly appreciate you, and I wish I could just say that to every single one of you in person, but just know that I’m hugging you and holding you and thanking you with all my heart.” A fan brought up how Evans’ character looked in today’s episode of “Days of our Lives” and compared it to how Evans herself looked in her video shared on social media, saying, “[the] hairdo you are sporting above is better than the Faux Mullet you had in today’s episode. I hope it wasn’t a fav of yours,” Evans responded, stating, “that’s what we call ‘Barn Hair’ round these parts…lol….but seriously, I always love and respect the talented hair, makeup, and wardrobe department….their artistry is phenomenal…” In response to the allegations brought against him, which led to his ouster as co-executive producer and director at “Days of our Lives,” Alarr stated, “These allegations were already examined in a detailed and entirely independent investigation that lasted for two months. Dozens of individuals cooperated and every claim was thoroughly looked into. At the end of that process, the decision was made that I should continue in my role as co-executive producer. Now, with no new facts presented, the studios have reversed course and caved to a cynical pressure campaign to force me out of my job.” He added, “To be clear, this whole situation stems from the animus of just two individuals. Those individuals, at a time of industry-wide cutbacks and economic uncertainty, have been relentlessly angling for greater pay and increased influence on the show, and, it appears, believed that their best strategy to get it was to play on vile stereotypes in order to bring down a Black man in a position of power.” In support of Evans, fans dedicated today, August 11, #WeLoveYouJudi day! The day featured pictures, memories and a flood of support. Joining in on the praise and support of Judi was her on-screen husband, Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis), who said, “With Judi, what you see is what you get. Her talent is one thing, but her humanity and personality and generosity of spirit are a gift to the world. love ya Judi.” In response to Kurth’s post, Evans said, “Oh Wally….I feel the exact same way about you!!! Generous, kind, thoughtful, gentle, multitalented, and what a voice….you are such a wonderful partner!! Love ya right back, Mister!!!! Lucky to call you friend all these years….” Check out Evans’ video message to fans below.
