Y&R My Thoughts of the Show

Here are just a few thoughts I have about today's episode:

IT IS ABOUT TIME that Neil said he was done with Dru. I say this because I was getting so tired of the cold shoulder he was giving her everytime she came his way. It took fighting about how to handle Lily for the truth of what he was feeling to come out.

Victoria Rowell cracks me up with all those facial expressions and head bobs she does

WTH is up with Gloria? Was her phone call to Kevin about John that darn secretive? Those big blue bug eyes looking around like someone was going to tap into her conversation was stupid and there was no need for it. It seems like more and more that I see Gloria, she's more focused on the power than the love of John Abbott...which only tells me that she will be putting on a grand performance to milk the sympathy.

So glad there was no Devon or Brad/Victoria/Nick today....today's show was actually worth watching.

Here's is what has always been my major malfunction with Gloria and Kevin. Kevin's a mama's boy bitch, plain and simple. All he knows how to do is run to that bitch every time he needs his ass wipped.

But Gloria is so [!@#$%^&*] selfish. And, other than Sami Brady on DOOL, I've never seen any character not take any responsiblity for anything more than her. When she gets busted for all that skin cream [!@#$%^&*], watch and see how long it takes her to blame Jack and Ashley for her HAVING to do that, because they were destroying John's life's work. How long has Ashley and Jack worked for their father?

The bad thing is that Ashley will now probably never find out that John could have very well been her natural father. And, deep down inside, I really believe Gloria loves John dearly, but because she is so damn power hungry, that takes a back seat. She reminds me of Sue Ellen Ewing on Dallas. The first couple of seasons, SE was downright hateful towards her sister-in-law. But, after she found out that money and power isn't everything, she turned into a wonderful lady.

Yep. One great story opportunity that LML just killed. In return, we get more of the useless skin cream killing witch and dumbed down Kay and Jill.

The only reason why Jill likes that bitch is because she came up the very same way. But, the difference is, she's changed for the better. I hope she becomes a mother figure that Jack and Ashley can go to now that the tragedy is close at hand.

Kevin is a psychotic mama's boy pansy who never learns. Gloria is a selfish conniving psychotic woman who is power-hungry to the point of mowing down ANYONE in her path. I don't believe she loves John one bit. What she loves is what John brought to her life: MONEY and POWER. She never loved him.

Together, these two can rot in the pits of hell off screen somewhere for all I care. There is nothing redeeming about either of these characters. Why is it more important for the Fishers to be present during John's death than Jack's children? Why? Because this ridiculous primping is to make yet another story about the Tiresome Fishers.

What kind of send off is John getting? Victor should be there. Mamie should be there. Didn't John give Neil his first job at Jabot? Keemo? Why are the Fishers in my face when all they've done is sucked the Abbotts dry? Why must every damn story tie into that insane bunch of Fishers? Sick of them.

My thoughts exactly; the Fishers don't do anything but bring gloom and doom on to anyone that crosses paths with them. Gloria acted so over dramatic for me, and it just seemed like she was nothing more than a big fake.

When are these writers going to give us a good story where Kevin and Gloria get what they deserve?

Also, I agree that the last people that should be there for the Abbott family is the Fishers.

We are missing the following key characters that have a strong tie to John or have had a strong working relationship with him:

Colleen; for heaven sakes his own grand-daughter is caught up in the mess of Brad Carlton.

Victor, who's off discovering "spirituality" and acting like a big giant teddy bear

Neil, who worked for Jabot when he started out

Nikki, who most definitely should be there, even despite her hate for Ashley.

They made the mistake of sending Jerry Douglas off the show without having everyone present in the storyline.

Also, what is up with Kay? Kay has always been a strong B.S. detector, being able to smell someone's a mile away, but she can't catch a sniff when Gloria is standing right in her face smiling all that fakeness at her? Does Jabot and Chancellor have to go down to the ground completely before they wake up and realize that it's not Jack or Ashley ruining the company, but that dalmation coat wearing trollop that's messing up things?

The only thing I can think of is maybe LL is setting up a story where Jill and Gloria will do battle after his demise. I can't think of anything else. And, I can't understand how in the world she thinks, like her predecessor, that everyone is in love with Gloria. She cost a woman her life, and has yet to pay for an of it.

Roman or anyone viewing this thread, what do you make of this:

LL said this in SID regarding John's storyline: "As the Abbotts and Gloria face difficult decisions ahead, we will witnness an unlikely pairing."

When I read that out loud, my grandma said "I hope to GOD they don't think about putting Jack and Gloria together; because that most definitely would be an unlikely pairing. Just the thought of it makes me sick to my stomach

Oh, HELL NO!!!!!!

That bitch must pay for her crimes. Maybe Jack and Jill. I don't know about that one.

I loved that, totally agree!!

As I said, my problem with this storyline is that it looks like it will become more about the Fishers and Gloria, than the Abbotts and John and people in their lives over the years.

A kindred spirit. And if that is the case, I might have to start thinking about turning thi story off after 12 years.

Just the thought... I'm afraid of going to sleep tonight. That would be an awful nightmare.

An unlikely pairing I'd like to see is Gloria and the Grim Reaper.

What pisses me off is this, why didn't Dru say she was done with his ass period. I was so glad she finally started sticking up for herself today, but then she goes right back to acting desperate after he said he was going to leave. I am so sick of him blaming her for every thing. Lily ran off with Daniel in the first place when he was on trial for murder, she's always been stupid and willful. That secret had nothing to do with her actions. She did not need Dru to push her into marrying Daniel, she's a big enough of a stupid !@#$%^&*] on her on.

Neil needs to drag the tampon out of his ass and let it marinate. He is too much of a diva !@#$%^&*].

"Unlikely pairing"? I can see the blood on the walls.

Speaking of blood, I nominate Gloria for a bedheading, who's with me?!

Neil: I admit to my mistakes!

Dru: When was that, 1972?!

Dru, I love you like Zapato loves designer shoes.
