Zach and Ryan are not alike in any facet. They may both act outside acceptable boundaries but Zach does not excuse his actions with self righteous, holier than thou judgments. Zach is a man; not half of one who uses the past to sustain his inability to accept personal responsibility. Ryan, you're not a BASTARD because of your Daddy-it's all on you.

well thats your opinion and mine is that yes they are alike in some ways. zach is no more a man than any other flawed character on the show. he's such a man huh? is that why he married his son's fiance out from under him? is that why he lied to kendall and let her be trashed by her family & friends at thanksgiving when he knew the truth? the way you guys trash ryan constantly i could swear he was a threat to your couple, but nah he couldn't be,LOL

I didn't deny you your opinion, Mel. I only expressed one contraray to yours.

Furthermore, I didn't deify Zach in my previous post. I ackowledge that he is flawed without listing his many misdeeds. However, I did specifically denote that Zach does not sbscribe to self worshiping hypocrisy. He is a man about his. He claims his wrongs and does not shift the blame to an abusive father, brain tumor or the man in the moon. The same can't be said for Ryan who carries on with a bogus armor of righteousness. He faked being dead, abused his wife, etc simply because he assumed that he was entitled because he is St. Ryan. I don't know which gospel he's reading from, but Ryan Lavery is not the second coming. He's no where near the firt; matter of fact, he won't even be the last since he's just a Judist wearing a mask of chilvary. He lives so far Erica's ass that he believes her [!@#$%^&*] must be scented and the fumes have gone to his head.

I doubt he trly loves Kendall; it's simply guilt carried over from Greenlee and his fixation to be in Kendall's life.

Also, I trash Ryan becase he's a false, pious, shoved down my throat jackass. I wouldn't look his way if he bought all the copies of my book. Although, I would say "Thank you. Ass." and happily be on my way. :)

what are you taklking about? Ryan has tried to make things right since the garden gnome left. Zach is the one who never apologizes for anything and acts like his crap don't stink.i don't think either one of them is perfect and i didn't excuse ryan's horrible behaviour before.i just think that zach is no more a man than anyone else on this show.

Ryan doesn't apologize. He acts justified.

I jumped off s cliff because I couldn't handle you being sperminated Greens! It's YOUR fault!

Kendall, it's your fault Greenlee left town because it's your egg!

I can't be father because my Daddy beat me!

Jonathan is a psycho because Daddy beat him too

I could go on, but the litanies are excessive. Overall, I find Ryan to be offensive and a real jerk. At least Zach spares me his rationalizations as to why he's a bad ass. He simply is. He's also friggin' hot. :)

But it's cool. To each their own perspective.

I agree with everything you said Q Steph :)

Now if Ryan were to put Kendall's happiness before anything else, I might start to believe that he's truly trying to make amends.

Anyways we're really off topic. Anyone else looking forward to Bianca returning? :)

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Bianca coming back. I can't wait for Erica do go off on her for not taking her side. Also I will be sooooo glad when Kendall wakes up and gives her man a proper THANK YOU :P

I wish Bianca would either stay in France or get her own s/l & not come on for a couple of weeks to sing Zach's praises.

I don't see anything sexy about a man who would stand behind a woman & let everyone go at her like Zach did at the Thanksgiving dinner and the way he went after his son's lover to get back at him ,all the time denying him & now since his son'e death he has had sex with the same woman his son & brother also had sex with. I do not call that romantic.

Has Zach already forgotten his son? Has he been to his son's grave since he has been buried or is he too busy chasing after a pretty young thing to make himself feel younger?

AMC has become The Zach Show! What he does no matter how stupid (like waving a gun in a hospital room) is praised & other characters are always wrong.

I do not think he is sexy & what I do think of him can't be posted here!

Bianca is in town for her sister, and it looks like she is returning to prop Ryan, I mean everyone else does, why not add Bianca to the mix as well

I see how quickly some like to forget that Kendall slept with Jonathan while she was with Ryan, so if you're going to knock Zach for being with her, then you need to knock Ryan too.

You're kidding me right? The show is the Babe/JR/Ryan hour, those 3 have been shoved down our throats more than anyone else.

I don't see anything romantic about a man(Ryan) who calls the woman he's supposed to love a souless cancer, and about bashing her jaw in, and driving her to want to commit suicide, and a man who slams his wife up against a dresser.

Oh yeah Ryan's such a man, this is the same man who drove off a cliff to avoid being a father  He's indirectly responsible for Greenlee's miscarriage too

Ryan has been impressing me lately and along with that the writers. Ryan and slowly morphed back into shades of what he was before the poison pen of Megan McTavish decimated him. He is no longer the egotistical jerk he once was. He is acting rational and not jumping off the walls shouting.... and the fact that he is going to back off and side with Zach tells me he finally does put Kendall's happiness ahead of his own. Wow. I can't believe how soft I am going on Ryan but man I've really enjoyed the direction the character is taking the last couple of weeks. Erica is being written has the bad guy in this whole thing. I commend the writers for toning Ryan down. Its actually finally getting back to what made the character at one point lovable. But there is still ALONG ways to go...

    • Hehe, twi/x actually x, formerly Twitter. Typically I find 2 sources for "crazy fan rumors" - the wrong parts of FB and x. Oy.
    • Not to hijack the thread, but was that character Justine? I just found this interview online with Logan and see what you're talking about - wow!   http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/chat85.html
    • My bad….ill fix that  Fixed
    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).
