I don't know what the link his for his site, sorry

There's a showfax script that basically sets up these scenes with this character. Her name is Annie, and I guess she's running from her abusive husband or something, and Ryan somehow rescues her when she gets hurt or something like that.

Rebecca Budig is Greenlee.... I am not a fan of recasts to begin with but this would just be such a mistake..... the show does not need Greenlee...... pair Ryan off with someone else on the show because who wants to see a Rylee redux, new actress or not.....

You know...I don't think this is a Greenlee recast, I think its a spanking new character.

Just what AMC needs, because every time I think of AMC nowadays...I say to myself, "Boy they need new characters, who wants to see all of the other characters who are languishing on the backburner...bring me a character that I know nothing about and don't care about...oh and make sure they're on 5 days a week too!"

Stupid.

Hmm - well this could turn out to be good - as it takes Ryan away from Kendall and I guess eventually he'll be this Emma's stepdad....but it sounds a little Babe-ish.

I wish they'd focus more on characters we already have - the cast is getting way too big.

I guess it makes sense if she is Kate's adoptive mother.... but like couldn't she just be short term. This show does not need another leading lady.... they have too many they don't write for as it is. :(

Well exactly LOL. They made such a huge deal when they got Sydney to come back now all we ever see her doing is hospital stuff. I actually like Julia and Ryan so I'd be all for them hooking up.

    • I really wish we could see that episode...absolutely, my memory could be faulty, it was a very long time ago. I'm not going to contradict what the actors said--there has to be a reason it made them so uncomfortable that they talked about it in the press and complained to TPTB. I think that was the first one where they made the point that they wanted to educate the audience about the subject.
    • I just did with GL and its made me very happy!

Oh yes, trying to get into any soap from scratch starting post-2010 would be hard. I prefer to go back to the good ol' days, before the decline.
    • Can we talk about how iconic the 1994 tornado was on AMC? I was scanning through old episodes last night and came across this episode. The tornado was epic and the storylines/aftermath were so good (Julia's scar/Noah!; Jenny/Ray/Nola/Jesse in heaven with Tad, etc).  For 1994, these special effects and budget for this big event were amazing. 10 out of 10!  The only thing missing is Erica!  I can't recall where Erica was at the time, but I really wish she had been involved in this storyline.

    • On the way to her own engagement party? I've read that the show had trouble getting the audience to sympathize with Rita, but...that seems bizarre. Maybe I can understand the issue with the censors, given that at the time, rape wasn't depicted the way it is now, and marital rape was even less acknowledged.  Wasn't Chris Brooks' rape one of the first honest stories on the subject? I just don't think I could get into a show I didn't have a working knowledge of. I know it's a different era, but I really tried to get into GH once Maura West joined, but it just never jelled.
    • Yes it was! My mom and I convinced my dad to get one. He was--how shall I put this?--on the thrifty side, but one day he came home with one as a surprise. To this day, I'm convinced it fell off a truck. (He knew people with "connections."

) BUT, we had our VCR and we could watch our soaps. That thing lasted forever! It was built like a tank. Even when we got new ones with more features, we kept that one.

Blasphemy!  (Haha, I get it.  But, you should try watching AMC! 80s-90s was so good.)
    • I thought about saying how I resented the fact that those two newbies were tripping up the Puppetmaster of all Puppetmasters, when the best others could do was a stalemate (or less...). But, well...*sigh*
    • I read years ago that both Zaslow and Lenore both complained that it came off as a seduction because of CBS censors, so Lenore asked if she could say, "you raped me" to leave no doubt with the audience, and that Zaslow insisted that Holly's rape played realistically
    • Wow it’s official, Gatwa is out… https://www.avclub.com/ncuti-gatwa-addresses-doctor-who-finale-statement DW fandom on Reddit is in a furor over how things went down and apparent last minute scrapping of the original ending. Also…Billie Piper again really?
    • He comes pretty close, talkin' about how Reva is full of love and joy, blah blah....which is bilge considering he was the one responsible for throwing her out of Josh's life over working with Alan.
