The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless, Ratings, Daytime Broadcast Ratings

Need To Know

  • “The Bold and the Beautiful” ranked No. 1 among soaps in Women 18-49, marking its second-best performance of the season.
  • “General Hospital” was the only daytime broadcast show to see a year-over-year decline among Total Viewers, but had the largest week-to-week gain.
  • “The Young and the Restless” set a new season high among Women 18-49.

During the week of July 27-31, 2026, CBS’ scripted lineup posted strong week-to-week gains in the key demos, led by “The Bold and the Beautiful,” which surged in both Women 18-49 and Women 25-54, placing third overall in the former with its second-best performance of the season and ranking No. 1 among soaps. The half-hour soap topped perennial leader “The Young and the Restless” among soaps in Women 18-49, with the long-running hour-long drama marking a new season high in the demo and its best performance in nine weeks among Women 25-54.

The Bold and the Beautiful Ratings

“The Bold and the Beautiful” was up +0.10 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.30 rating vs. 0.20 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.37 rating vs. 0.27 rating), marking the largest week-to-week gain across daytime broadcast. Ranking third for the week among Women 18-49, behind only repeats of “The Price is Right,” the drama series is weeks away from potentially clinching its first-ever season-long win among soaps in the key demo, as noted in our season-to-date report published last month.

The series marked its second-best performance of the season among Women 18-49 (0.30 rating) and its best performance overall in 23 weeks (since the week of February 16-20, 2026).

Compared to the same week last year, the half-hour soap was up +0.04 among Women 18-49 (0.30 rating vs. 0.26 rating) and up +246,000 viewers (2.850 million vs. 2.604 million). Meanwhile, compared to the same week in 2024, which included Summer Olympic Games coverage on NBC, the drama series was up +349,000 viewers (2.850 million vs. 2.501 million), up +0.09 among Women 18-49 (0.30 rating vs. 0.21 rating) and up +0.01 among Women 25-54 (0.37 rating vs. 0.36 rating). The soap was virtually on par with its performance during the same week in 2023 among Women 18-49 (0.30 rating vs. 0.31 rating), while up +81,000 viewers (2.850 million vs. 2.769 million).

The Young and the Restless Ratings

Despite placing second among soaps in Women 18-49, behind “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Young and the Restless” marked a new season in the key sales demographic with a 0.29 rating. Demographically, the long-running drama series saw the second-largest week-to-week gain across daytime broadcast, up +0.09 among Women 18-49 (0.29 rating vs. 0.20 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.41 rating vs. 0.32 rating), placing fourth overall in the former and third in the latter. This was the show’s best performance among Women 25-54 in nine weeks (since the week of May 25-29, 2026).

With 3.217 million viewers tuned in, the series averaged more than three million viewers for the 27th consecutive week (since the week of January 26-30, 2026) and was up +46,000 year-over-year (3.217 million vs. 3.171 million).

Compared to the same week in 2024, the series was up +421,000 viewers (3.217 million vs. 2.796 million), up +0.06 among Women 18-49 (0.29 rating vs. 0.23 rating) and virtually on par with its performance among Women 25-54 (0.41 rating vs. 0.42 rating). Further, compared to the same week in 2023, the drama was virtually on par with its performance among Women 18-49 (0.29 rating vs. 0.31 rating) and was up +110,000 viewers (3.217 million vs. 3.107 million).

After a few sluggish weeks, “Beyond the Gates” marked its best performance in five weeks and tied its second-best performance of the season among Women 18-49 (0.20 rating) and its best in three weeks among Women 25-54 (0.26 rating). Up +0.05 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.20 rating vs. 0.15 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.26 rating vs. 0.21 rating), the drama gained +29,000 viewers (1.649 million) and saw a year-over-year gain of +0.01 among Women 18-49 (0.20 rating vs. 0.19 rating).

Compared to the same week last year, the soap opera was up +134,000 viewers (1.649 million vs. 1.515 million), marking its 21st consecutive week (since the week of March 9-13, 2026) of year-over-year gains.

The soap placed second on Tuesday, July 28; Wednesday, July 29; and Thursday, July 30, with episodes that dropped after their initial ABC broadcast. The series ranked third on Friday, July 31, and fourth on Saturday, August 1. Meanwhile, it ranked fifth on Monday, July 26, and tenth on Tuesday, July 27.
