GALEN GERING & ELIA CANTU OFF CONTRACT...

Galen Gering (Rafe), Elia Cantu (Jada) and Marissa Reyes (Arianna) were removed from the credits today (March 30). Cantu, who is appearing this week, is now listed in the recurring section of the credits.

Not too shocked on Cantu and Reyes, but I am with Gering just because they've kept him around for so long even when the character doesn't have much purpose anymore. I suppose he will still be around but just in a smaller capacity.

I wonder what plans they have for Gabi with her daughter and brother not that important.

Seems like nothing ever works out with Ari.

There was that brief period that Gering was taken off contract for about three months in 2020. Rafe has basically been supporting since the latest Arnold Feniger debacle anyway, so I don't think too much will change regarding his use.

With this change, here are the 10 actors who have consecutively been on contract the longest:

Josh Taylor 2004-
James Reynolds 2004-
Suzanne Rogers 2004-
Eric Martsolf 2008-
Deidre Hall 2011-
Mary Beth Evans 2015-
Paul Telfer 2019-
Stephen Nichols 2019-
Jackée Harry 2021-
Dan Feuerriegel 2021-

Thanks. I'd forgotten this had happened before.

Nothing short of a neutron bomb will permanently remove Rafe from this show. No one over 30 is ever allowed to leave for good.
