Speak on it!!! Ric still has all of this potential after all of these years and they are doing what? Not a thing. I don't know about the local issue, but Spinelli has been put to good use in this limited time on screen so I don't see how they can't do the same for Ric. His return started pretty good before he vanished into the bloated cast.

LOL!!! Now let me give them a moment. You know they don't get much from me no matter how attractive I find JK. smh. I'm sure I will go back to disliking the pairing again like I do a certain hooker by the next time I see them.

Isn't Rick Hearst a real estate agent too? Lol. I am assuming he flies out and comes in for a brief period to film all his scenes. Spinelli/Bradford are more contained story wise. He films mostly with the Maxie family bubble and maybe an occasional scene with Jason. Ric has his hands in several different plots so I do think it's more difficult.

Lol! I don't even hate Cody/Molly. I just find them frustratingly juvenile. Molly acts like a brat half the time and can't handle the easiest decisions or conversations. She's majorly regressed since her TJ days and it's irritating.

That's just more reason for the writers to have him come in with a beginning, middle, and an end to his appearances...something I feel they nail with Bradford's appearance for the most part with Spinelli. Ric does have his hands in many plots. It was part of the reason his return originally worked before he fit right on in without missing a beat at all. The writers should have done better with the knowledge of his outside soap job.

My apologies. I thought you did like them. :) I agree she has majorly regressed which hurts that pairing and I've already said my thoughts about the TJ in the room leaving a sour taste in my mouth.

Considering how GH has treated RH in the past, he's probably happy to be working at this point.

I have never cared for Molly in general. I thought Haley Pullos was cute as a kid and a bit quirky, and although Vaganos is serviceable I don't think she makes Molly very distinct. Molly/TJ should have been written off after Kristina lost their baby with a happily ever after. The show could have always brought them back later on. After the whole Pullos situation that would have been the easier choice instead of testing out 4 Mollys lol.

Very true. And I'm happy to have him back.

Yeah. I liked Vaganos and I thought she found her way in the surrogacy storyline, but that felt to the wayside just like TJ. Now she's just...there.

Yes! Molly is just there being slightly annoying most of the time. I don't find anything fascinating about her nor do I care much about her endometriosis and commitment issues. The best thing I can say is she's less obnoxious than Kristina, but Kristina is practically a non-entity these days.

SLIGHTLY? ;P

The fact that Kristina and Molly have been reduced to non-entities just reinforces why I've always felt giving Alexis children to raise was not a good idea.

I don't think Alexis's raising kids is much of the problem. I never would have made Sam her kid though of course.

I really think the show was trying to go somewhere with Mansi's Kristina and whatever happened behind the scenes happened. I have no idea why the show doubled down on the stupid surrogate story after Pullos's arrest. You easily could have written TJ and Molly out with three lines (actually TJ was written out with no lines lol) and decided to one day bring Pullos back or find a suitable recast. Scrambling for Molly's didn't do anyone favors here.

I think it's clear Mansi wasn't thrilled with her character's direction, so the show basically punished her with no story and throws her a few directing gigs to keep her happy.

I think it's more than that, though clearly she wasn't into the actress playing dayplayer Blaze. I still think FV (if not the writers, who seemed gung ho about LNL2 early last year) absolutely intended to put Kristina with Lucky and JJ balked (and possibly Mansi too, who knows), Frank took retribution against Jonathan on top of his difficult contract and now Mansi is basically nowhere ever since. I think they are just running out her contract and Frank is doing her a favor letting her direct. Anything that happens with Jacinda is equally inconsequential.

It's not Mansi's fault IMO. She works hard onscreen. She could still recoup with the right story or pairing. But none of this stuff has gone well or it's all about FV's priorities.

I was definitely referring more to issues with the actress that played Blaze and I don't think it's because she's anti-gay or anything like that. She could be, who knows, but she doesn't appear to be like that from her long daytime career and interviews. I could see her being more into a JJ pairing and JJ not loving that lol.

I don't dislike Mansi. She is my favorite Abigail by miles on Days. I think she comes off a lot colder than Lexi Ainsworth, who was more of a likeable screw up. I was very excited for her to take on this role. I still think she'd be better served going back to Days with their 2 dollar budget unless FV makes Kristina a mini-Sonny mob heir. I could definitely see them pairing her with

to pass time though.

I just don't see FV or the show as having ever been super committed to Kristina and Blaze, or any gay pairing in recent years (other than of course anything involving Brad, part of CVE's bestie squad). If they were they wouldn't have fobbed Kristina off on a dayplayer. I definitely don't think Mansi is anti-gay. I believe she took this role in large part because she thought she'd be playing an LGBTQ heroine. The actors just didn't work out and I think she is likely another star who got sold a bill of goods by FV. He does that a lot, then plays it cheap or reverses himself and freezes them out if they complain.

She is definitely colder than Lexi, but she's also a formidable actress. They have given her awful stories which made Kristina wildly unsympathetic. I think Frank's Hail Mary to save the character was hoping he could put her over with Lucky, a core scion of the show, and when JJ at least said no everyone paid for it.

Kate would probably be best served going back to DAYS. I do not think she is long for GH and haven't for almost a year, but I also thought she'd be gone by now so who knows lol. I wouldn't hate it if they find something better for her though, or see how things go with

Oh, I am sure Mansi got a really great pitch from GH and it ended up like this. From her interviews it does seem like her heart is more into directing so maybe she is okay with being a side character and getting to direct episodes?

I think JJ was an issue, but I think Haley Pullos was more of an issue. That sounds weird because she was barely on screen for 10 years. I think personally the writing got slanted in Molly's favor so the audience would accept one of the million Molly recasts and the surrogate story was supposed to be more balanced. It was always a stupid story, it got way dumber the farther we got into though. The Blaze romance seemed like something that randomly happened. Perhaps to get Eva La Rue a role or to shut down criticism about FV's GH not having any good LGBTQ stories? Both of which massively backfired lol.

And, honestly, Days needs Abby more than GH needs Kristina. I don't think Marci Miller acts anymore so they can fire a few more cast members and we will see Mansi as Abby in 2028

DAYS def needs Abby more. Did Marci Miller quit acting recently?? I always liked her and she was just on Season 1 of The Pitt.

I thought the surrogacy story wanted it both ways, especially in summer/fall 2024 where Kristina was absolutely unwatchable but they continued to expect us to invest in her storyline and POV. Molly and Alexis never really got to fully put her in her place. Even to this day she has never really apologized in full to Molly for what she did or even stopped calling that baby Adella. They mostly have just hoped we would forget. They played the Ric story for comedy, have kept Kristina barely onscreen and hoped that combination would cure all ills. I think FV was banking that a super-pairing with JJ would take care of the problem, but now we have these comic subplots and minimal airtime instead lol.

I do think it's possible that when PM was first hired Natalia/Eva LaRue was intended as a straight antagonist to Kristina and Blaze who would learn the error of her ways. That's how it played early on in his tenure, with some strong dialogue scenes with all 3 and Blaze confronting her mother. We know PM was invested in gay storylines in general throughout his career. Then I think FV once again got starstruck hiring another soap name as he often does, didn't want to let her go and we got what we got instead for the next year, with him trying to redeem the irredeemable and make Kristina become her friend for awhile (and blame Ava for Natalia's bigotry) while Kristina's awful behavior was also being excused away. The same symptoms of the same bullheaded hard push and refusal to admit they were going down the wrong tracks with two different characters.

Oh, lol. I probably misspoke and am being gossipy. I vaguely remember her saying she was stepping away in an interview because of her small kid(s) and helping her husband with his restaurant. I don't think Marci quit acting entirely but she is not interested in long term gigs on daytime especially. I thought she turned down an offer for Lulu before Havins accepted.

The whole Natalia mess and the vague redemption tour she went on was cringe. Only for her to kill herself because Sonny didn't love her? As if they were ever even an item.
