I hope Brennan walks in on them banging and has a heart attack or something. Clearly, I am starving for any kind of drama right now lol.

How delightfully old school would that be! That’s like something you read in the synopsis from a soap in the late 60’s. Maybe he can suffer hysterical amnesia and end up on a farm with a sweet, down to earth lady with some kind of physical impairment? Bill Bell would be proud!

Kidding aside, yes, we need drama here. It can’t all be shallow twists and fast paced. Every time they slow down just a little bit between Drew events, the cracks show a lot. It’s still better than GH has been in over a decade for me, but the frustration is it could be better. The boring stuff Frank seems to hate fills time and makes the characters richer, which also makes payoffs bigger. We could easily have a hybrid with what he prefers and also at least one actual earned emotion per episode because a character was actually explored beyond a plot point.

I found it amusing that the writers picked Auckland of all places to send Liesl.

I wonder if her conference will be at the new convention centre, I went to the open day two weeks ago lol

She's going to guest star on Shortland Street!

She'd fit right in...

I don't know if I was totally feeling Joss's performance. It was a little bug-eyed and over the top. Also the stuff about Sonny came out of nowhere. It felt a little jarring when the rest of the show treats him like a cuddly romantic hero and go to guy for life advice.

Carly did better with her performance, mostly because it was more restrained. She has more chemistry with Valentin that with other people they've tried to pair her with the last few years. But Valentin is such a crappy, wimpy character.. we really need more of him?

I'll say this much...I really did enjoy that Luke episode. And my eyes watered when among all of the flashbacks, they gave me the first time I ever saw Luke and Laura (outside of the return promo where I had to ask my mom who Luke and Laura and she looked at me funny aka 'Not my Luggage!' lol). It was just great to see so much flashbacks from things that happened decades ago vs last year. I don't think there was anything I disliked about it. Alexa gave such a masterclass. You would think she had always been there as Lulu. Okay, I side-eyed but at the same time gave a lil respect at the use of Lucky. It would have been weird not to include him. BUT they could have actually had him in PC if they were not so bound and determined to fumble his return.

For the record @Antoyne ...I did enjoy the date.

And Maxie's return for me...so far...has really been good. Though like others I've seen on here, I totally forgot about the whole Bailey Lu saga. I can give credit to the writers for actually trying to make more stakes to it all with Lulu and Nathan, but meh. Really loving the amount of scenes that Spin is getting with BLQ.

Well, Frank gotta Frank.

But it is telling that when the show is not focused on the Michael/Willow/Drew saga, that the other stories seem so put together with mileage varying.

I pretty much watch GH for the Michael/Willow/Drew story.

You and the majority of the board. lol. You are in great company.

I'm still in awe that a couple of years that who could care less about Willow or Drew. Or that Michael would get a backbone and a backside. And we all are enjoying Willow as crazy villainess.

I know Carrere from Wayne's World and from her series Relic Hunter. In Relic Hunter, she was a Canadian archeologist professor who adventured all over the world looking for relics, very much like Indiana Jones or Lara Croft. Her Relic Hunter character was kick-ass in the way that 1980s Anna Devane was, or Xena.

Awww memory unlocked!!! And amen. How I miss that Anna and of course Xena.

Yeah, it's strange how Lulu is perceived now when she was the Josslyn golden girl of her era. When you had JJ at your disposable and wasted him

Very. I continue to be surprised that they get a great actress, actually give her a great return story, the actress actually feels like the character, and you just...fumble it and put her with who???

That was my only side-eye to the Luke episode that I recently watched. If they had not wasted JJ out of spite, he could have been in the episode rather than giving the audience flashbacks. You are knowledgeable as writers to know he should be part of it...not NOT knowledgeable to have JJ and Lucky on canvas. Okay, girl, whatever.

Even though I am open to a good Lucky recast at this point, why bother? Frank doesn’t care about Liz enough to make the writers use her, or keeps them from using her. Either way, having him back under these parameters sucks.

Same. Why even have one when you had the real deal last year. But...Frank's gonna Frank.

Not to say it could never happen, but I think it would take an entire regime change.

So a miracle. ;)

I really have no interest in Dante/Liz either and I agree it's another version of Dante/Sam. At the same time I am open to it especially if Lulu can be involved as well.

And I don't have any interest in Dante/Liz either.

I think there is a place for nice, minimal conflicts couples on a show like GH. Dante and Liz separately have so much more to offer. It's going to be a cheap way to keep them both occupied until something better comes along-or they stay in a years long relationship like Dante/Sam and nothing ever happens.

I actually have not decided how I feel about Dante/Liz yet. I did like the scene with them. I love Liz. Have since 1997. hehe. And I've loved Dante since Dominic's days on EDGEMONT. And the scene was fine. But I'm not stupid, either. It just seems like Frank putting two people together just so he can put them in a bubble. The only way they would have story would be in the show focused on Dante's already recurring internal drama about him as cop and his family (re: Sonny/Michael) and how it conflicts with his job as a cop/Commissioner. Of course, Liz can be roped into that due to her own history. OR as has been mentioned, they eventually have Lulu get a clue once Nathan gets exposed...only to find that Dante is with Liz. And given Liz and Lulu's own history...that could be good. Or as I called it then...basically putting Liz where Sam would have been if the writers have run with the Lulu/Dante/Sam story when Lulu woke up that wrote itself vs killing Sam off.

But what do I expect from a canvas where Liz was finally single along with three of her main love interests all being single AT THE SAME TIME (Jason,Lucky, Ric) and the writers did NOTHING with the potential in that...which wrote itself. Same for Dante and Lulu finally both back on canvas and single and instead of a return to the supercouple they were...we get Dante/Liz and Lulu/Nathan. Really, writers?

You know what give me a Dante/Liz/Ric triangle. Ric’s his uncle but they have zero relationship so Ric wouldn’t give a f.uck outside of maybe making Sonny mad now that he loves him @Taoboi
