I would bring Tommy Jr. back tomorrow, but he'd need to be a lot more of a pistol than either Curtis or Isaiah. You'd need someone more in the early Patrick mold.

No way would that happen in this current political climate. Frank would be worried about the Facebook Karens thinking Tommy Jr was "too threatening" and he'd want to emasculate him by putting him in a dress or some [!@#$%^&*].

Poor Lucas

It really sucks that they had to ruin him and Marco just to make Sonny and Carly look good

At least Van and Adrian acted the hell out of those scenes today. I totally believed that Marco loves Lucas deeply and thinks he can change, but is probably in too deep with Sidwell's plans and his own lust for revenge.

It helps that the actor playing Marco had a huge crush on Van Hansis. Their kisses and scenes come across as real.

Agreed.

They did have good chemistry and to see them be ruined for no good reason is a little sad.

Can't blame him though 😉😊😊

But poor Colton 😂😂

Oh, for sure. Which I think is part of why the Black canvas is so incestuous and bland, but then most of the canvas sans Drew, Willow and Michael is. (Well, the incest part is still there)

There were also a fair amount of fans pissed when Emma returned much edgier and wild shortly before this time last year. I was all for it - you cannot improve on what Kimberly McCullough did with Robin, so it makes no sense for her daughter to be a carbon copy. I'd always wanted Emma to return a troublemaker. They've quieted her down a bit, but Bruner still has real talent and spikiness and it makes sense for Emma to continue to be in that young Brenda mold: A good heart, but ambitious, brash and at times a hellraiser who makes huge mistakes and does bad things.

That kind of pushback is not just the province of FB fans; some just have an image in their head of who this child or that one should be, though I disagree with it. But it's the audience FV cultivates that seems to just want non-soap non-conflict couples at times, and certainly nothing edgier from the characters of color. Or at least, that's what Frank thinks they all want.

I felt one of the few cliche things to happen on GH in the last few years was Emma not being yet another vixen/angry at the world teen to a nice parent. Giving her a cause for why she was acting out and following Dalton to another school was straight out of Anna’s playbook, although quieted down to reality from super spy. Her continuing those traits while helping Tracy during the silly crypt story was great. Because there is more going on there and she is a good actor, she is the first younger woman on the show that I believably see as a lead in ages. Joss hasn’t ever been it, and they won’t let Trina.

When did Van Hansis have a crush on Adrian Anchondo? I don't remember hearing a word about that.

I know you're probably joking, but I don't think Adrian and Colton are talking about Van at all.

It sucks so much as they actually have chemistry too.

Those scenes were so well done today. Like you said I genuinely believe Marco is deeply in love with Lucas.

Got it, but I didn't read about that either.

Ok, he said little crush...😂

The actor screen-tested with Van Hansis, who joined the show in October 2024 as Lucas Jones, but the two had crossed paths in the past. “Van and I met each other at Williamstown Theater Festival 20 years ago,” Anchondo relays. “I think we did a play with each other. It’s funny because I remember having a little crush on him back then, and we’ve been in the same circles because we have mutual friends. So, I felt totally comfortable. Van has a very comfortable person to be around, regardless if you’ve known him for 20 years or not.”

Thanks for the link. But a crush 20 years ago is a lifetime.

I would like to offer my thoughts on Maxie's return from a different perspective than many other posters have. Unlike many, I liked the idea of Nathan coming back while Maxie was in a coma and resuming his old life while she wasn't around. It felt different than the same cliched story that we had all seen on soap operas so many times.

The writers completely botched it. We haven't seen Nathan dealing with Maxie being gone in a compelling way. There haven't even been any scenes with Nathan and Georgie. Admittedly, I don't know if this young actress could pull off some complex dialogue and emotions on this subject, but a recast was possible.

I also assumed that it would be Nathan who Maxie woke up to. She probably would have thought that she was dead and had gone to heaven. Especially if Britt walked in a little while later. That would have been something different, something we hadn't seen on a soap before. Instead, we got Felicia telling Maxie, who went right back to sleep a little while later.

I love the idea of Maxie quickly stating that she will honor her wedding vows to her husband. She could explain to Spinelli that she won't treat her marriage as dispensable. Then she could tell Georgie about what happened with Lucky back in the day. She could explain that she promised herself, and maybe say she promised Elizabeth, that she would never commit adultery, or disrespect the marital union, again.

There actually should have been a scene like that between Elizabeth and Maxie while Lucky was there, or maybe right after he left. Maxie had no scenes with Lucky during JJ's short run, mainly because the writers were too lazy about thinking something up. Never-the-less, it would be believable to say that she had grown as a person and felt like the right thing to do was keep her distance.

As for Maxie's pledge to Nathan, obviously, this being a soap, it wouldn't last. Maxie would find her way back to Spinelli, at least for one night. But her initial intention could believably be to stay in her marriage and be true to the vows that she and Nathan made to one another.
