-- Are we really sure that cliffhanger wasn't a dream? I find it hard to believe they'd write Willow as so unhinged that she makes a move like this. It makes no sense unless they're dumping KM.

I vote for dream.

-- I'm sick of Faison, too. End it already.

-- I'm ready for Chase to cheat on Brook Lynn and give his reason as "She wears two bathrobes to bed."

-- Rory Gibson continues to kill it.

But it is true that BLQ and the Quartermaines emasculate Chase (in his mind). Willow doesn't. He knows she's checked out on having a family now that she has a son, so he in turn checked out the moment they found Gio and began to fixate more on Willow. If they would play the beat of Brook Lynn focusing on the business more (and actually doing it well as opposed to just shaming Lucy) that would also tie into the parallels re: Ned and Tracy. When either BLQ's father or grandmother lock in they are still sharks; Wally has always had that colder, power-hungry side he can bring out, which is part of how Ned and Lois' marriage ended.

IMO Chase also misses the days when he used to constantly judge Brook Lynn and shame her for doing shít before they got officially together/married, and back when BLQ used to have actual cockeyed schemes on this show as opposed to being a saintly matriarch in training. Like, he used to lecture and harangue her every week for so much as putting in a good word for him. It was nauseating to watch a few years back and he clearly got off on it. She should bring it up.

I wasn't watching for most of the period Setton's Brook Lynn behaved this way (I just remember the mess of the character in the late '00s and I wasn't that involved even then). It sounds like an alien compared to how she is these days - she is written more like a heroine from a '50s or '60s soap.

There's definitely more they could do with how suffocating the Qs can be to those who marry in the family. Monica had that problem and Monica was much stronger as a person than Chase has ever been.

Yeah, it's been a very quick slide.

I do get the Q's can be suffocating, but there is no reason for Chase and BLQ to live in the mansion period. Chase has/had his own apartment, and they moved into the mansion temporarily for Violet's sake. If Chase can't man up enough to tell Brook they are now 40 and can live in their own space I really don't know what to tell him. I really don't mind them living there at all even if I think Brook Lynn mostly just hangs around to shame "Granny". I need Chase to stop being such a wuss because I can't take him seriously.

I never did! Sing your little songs and skedaddle out of town, boy!
