Sonny would have done and said much worse to Alexis once upon a time.

This story just reminds me again how left behind Sonny and Carly feel, especially Carly. I don't think she has a single genuine relationship on the current canvas.

I actually love how little focus they have now. They literally ate the show for the better part of 20 years and actually ran me off from watching. Having Michael be a full on Quartermaine now has always been my dream since he cut Sonny out of his life for killing AJ.

So you are living the dream. ;P

Oh I'm not complaining - and they still give Sonny his fair share. Just surprising to see, especially with Carly. It's their own fault for making the character too powerful and too audacious. Just building a brick wall around her.

Well, it doesn't help when the writers themselves are too bias to see what is in front of them. Carly is definitely at her best with a rival. Especially current Carly. And out of everyone...she has her picks from Ava to her most recent one which was with Nina and which still has legs even now if they would write to it.

NLG has been on fire IMO these past few episodes. She has an Emmy reel IMO.

I would really love for Liz to have a story again...and where the hell have her kids been?

I was pulling my hair out after the Tuesday scenes with Jason, where they couldn't even manage to work in a throwaway line about Jake, or a line that acknowledged Liz's past with or views of Drew. The treatment of Elizabeth feels almost hostile, at this point. Fcking bizarre.

The show has a lot going for it but I think the most glaring problem to me is the apparent inability to take what are often well-crafted and nuanced big picture plots and then chunk them out as crisp, coherent, gripping week-to-week and day-to-day stories. The block scheduling situation certainly accounts for much of this, but not all. Stories like Drew's shooting and Faison's 'final plan' seem to be being outlined with detail and care, but the form in which they end up being presented to the audience doesn't do them justice.
