I'm not sure TPTB see the same problems we do. While I agree the writing is the biggest problem, I think more experienced actors would have the ability to find some nuance in these roles.

Her name isn't even Hayley???

And here I thought New Girl was someone who Hayley might have actually schemed against. But they were co-partners? Hmmm intriguing.

Good to see we are about to get our second Anita story. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but happy to see Anita is getting the spotlight.

As for the Joey news...does this mean we are setting up for Joey's exit or his next beat in the step of this show having a villain?

Other than that, I found this episode boring actually.

I actually like that most of the cast are unknowns. I’ve really enjoyed being exposed to quite a bit of them and they don’t have the baggage of former characters weighing them down.

Tomas should’ve been recast after his first episode though.

Honestly, Tomas can just go at this point. He seems to serve little to no purpose at this point and Kat's story would be fine without him.

As for the rest of the cast, they are fine. The weaker ones have improved and Andre doesn't annoy me as much with his acting.

Now, the other issues, I hope they start sorting those out with the new season.

The moment Tomas and Eva hooked up and then he blew her off.. his purpose on the show was fulfilled since that hook up guranteed Kat and Eva wouldn't be sharing close sisterly moments ever LOL

Kat and Eva are wasting their time fighting over Tomas. He is not a prize.

Why not? Tamara Tunie would play the hell out of that story AND maybe land BTG their first major Emmy nomination in the process.

I finally watched Friday's episode just now. I teared up. Tunie got me. You're right.

Ashley is actually likeable today. She is more palatable when we dont focus on her love life. She's fine as a side character, not the main

And to add, I loved that they have the menorah prominently placed. It's a nice nod for Jen Jacob who is Jewish.

The Anita and Andre scenes in yesterday's episode were well-done. It gave me classic ATWT vibes.

Friday's episode reminded me so much of ATWT. Of course, Tamara has a lot to do with it. She just shines.

So, I finally caught up. I enjoyed most of what I saw. Yes, things were happening but I get why some people may have been bored or felt like things are in a holding pattern.

What the heck is Nicole doing??? I am so confused about her 180 with Carlton and what about Kial???

I don't know what to think about Vanessa at this point. I was hoping this story with Joey would have been more nuanced but she's coming off like a lovesick pathetic puppy.

And is Bill really this blind to Hayley? I am confused about this story too. But I'm willing to be patient.
