I always thought Spixie was close in popularity to Dante/Lulu. Not Patrick/Robin level, which would be the last true attempt at a GH supercouple in my mind, but viewers were heavily invested in the pairing. I still assume both Dante/Lulu and Spinelli/Maxie will be together in the end. Although at this point I am not sure if Dante even likes Lulu let alone loves her.

They are actively avoiding it for creative reasons IMO, but they are also running down Dante atm. This latest business is just dumb.

Being a huge DZ/Dante fan, I cannot remember a time I found the character so unpleasant. Even during those weird PTSD years.

I think I do remember Lucy talking about two daughters years ago when everyone thought she was crazing talking about vampires. Anyhow, it's strange to me how far Lucy and Kevin moved apart into different orbits. I almost forget they were a root for couple on their own show.

PC repeatedly demolished them too. I know they were meant to be back together in GH canon after then, but I think it's one of the reasons a lot of viewers weren't that bothered about their split in the last decade. The show's use of Lucy in general has been disappointing beyond my just being happy Lynn Herring is appearing, which I genuinely didn't think she would after she only got one pity appearance for a decade post-PC.

They need to pull the finger out if they have any other romantic plans - they have teased Cody/Lulu, Nathan/Lulu, Dante/Brook Lyn, but nothing happens. Have Dante have a ONS with Nina, I don't care - I'm sure Korte would love an excuse to have someone call Nina a whore.

I 'd guess that the treatment of Lynn Herring these last 2 decades has been a result of behind the scenes pettiness from the producers and network execs. She was the vet star of the spin-off Port Charles and it failed, so time to move on and serve some humble pie. When Frank came in, you'd have hoped he would have an open mind, but he seems to have bought into it and has treated her character pretty much as a barely recurring shallow joke for the last decade or so.

I don't think it has anything to do with that today. Frank was not remotely involved with GH at the time. He and Ron Carlivati also brought her back to the show with great fanfare initially.

I think they see Lynn and Lucy as utility players, and there's some truth to that. But Lucy the scrabbling real estate agent while also being a major cosmetics tycoon? Lucy constantly being the butt of jokes for BLQ, etc. at her own company, or the dupe for every baddie who comes to town? That's not necessary, and it's lazy that they keep putting her in those roles. They do it because they know she can sell anything. But she deserves much better.

The show makes Lucy look stupid. There is no nuance in the writing. Sure, she was flighty and silly, but she was always smart and cunning. Now Lucy is written with her head in the clouds and out of touch without much humanity and just a joke. Although I will say the Tracy/Lucy scenes after Monica's death was a step in the right direction.

That and her eulogy were beautifully done, so much so I can only assume they were a blip and we'll be back to the usual.

I also don't think Frank has it out for Lucy, I think it's just easy to write her as an idiot and a town joke, so they do.

I just need one more scene of all those bitches getting together at Deception to whine about Lucy giving them a job. I'll lose it. I'm all for Serena coming back just to put them in their place and help her mother steal it all back.

Oh, I don't think Frank or the writers have it out for Lucy or Lynn. They just don't get the character.

Maxie at least seemed to put in work. Everyone else? No. If BLQ wines about Deception one more time....Idk, Brook, maybe don't work there if it's such a hassle for you to take 5 minutes out of your day to read emails or whatever you do lol.
