Yes, tapping away at a keyboard and shuffling through papers seemed to be the extent of the nurses work.

I'm not expecting a documentary but a little realism would help and could be used to advance character and story.

I just watched a great Swiss movie called Night Shift depicting just that and the various dramas and challenges this woman dealt with.

It would be good to see Ashley and Shanice dealing with a difficult patient, an emergency, an unexpected death etc.

I wonder if Shanice will remember at some point that she saw Leslie in wig disguise back when she was trying to sneak into Laura's room? What's ironic is that Shanice brought up Leslie's shtick of wigs and disguises during their confrontation the other day. How did Shanice know about that but seemingly doesn't remember catching her in disguise while trying to off Laura?

Yes to all of that. A couple weeks ago, I mentioned we never see patients at the hospital -- not coming through the elevator, not in a wheelchair, not going to an appointment. Two weeks later, still no patients.

Oh, we do have Peaches. She's played by Arle Michel, who lists her "playing age" as 21-35 in her bio. She's hooked up to an oxygen mask that looks like it's from a Halloween costume.

If Garland Memorial is going to be a major hub on this soap, they need to do a much better job.

That doesn't answer my question, which is about the BREAKDOWN.

I know the problems with Carlivati's and Giddens when it comes to story and even with dialogue. What does that have to do with their breakdown work at GATES?

I'll add that I enjoyed Ambitions and think it deserved another season. It was campy and over-the-top and entertaining, with a great looking cast.

I thoroughly enjoyed Ambitions hated it didn’t get a season 2. I also couldn’t tell you a single that’s different between breakdown writers 😂

The thing that varies a lot from one writer to the next is dialogue.

Same here. I can tell the difference in the dialogue writers. I can also tell some difference in the directors. For me, what distinguishes a "good episode" from a "lousy episode" is (a) what material the headwriting team gave the breakdown writer to work with, (b) whether the dialogue is crisp and realistic, and (c ) what choices the director makes in presenting the scenes.

I don't find Garland Memorial that distracting. I haven't noticed it being any more empty than the recent GH hub most of the time.

I'll ask you since I can't get a response from the poster who continually complains about the breakdowns from Carlivati and Giddens. Just what is wrong with those breakdowns? Why do their episodes need to be saved by the script writer?

I'm not trying to be difficult. I really don't get it.

The irony of saying Giddeons breakdowns need to be saved by the script writer is that he's a breakdown writer who writes very detailed, dialogue heavy breakdowns so the things the script writer did to "save" his breakdowns is likely his own work.

Now I will say, for Carlivati, something I don't like in his breakdowns is that the scenes can be short and choppy which is a signature of his.

Since I started watching GH again after the pandemic I haven't seen nary patient go through them halls except when it's one of the characters. Sometimes it's like, where is everyone.

Because it is not; both hospital are quiet, although, the General Hospital set is like four-times the size (so it should have some kind of... activity). The nit-picking is ridiculous by some].
