I often wonder why JPS even stays on the show.  I get that it's a sweet deal and easy money for him, but JPS seems to have plenty of other work.   He doesn't appear to need the show nor does the show need to keep squeezing Valentin into stories for his once a month appearance.

I suppose I am overthinking it and a job is job.  JPS probably doesn't have deep thoughts about Valentin as a character as long as he gets to play piano at the Nurse's Ball lol.

If they kept begging to pay you, wouldn't you? I think he enjoys the people too.

As I said above, I just fear this is all an entree to Frank trying to put him over again big time (after Mulcahey almost nuked Valentin) opposite LW. The big fish. Carly has been with worse (Franco) but not by much.

Probably.  I feel like Carly would tire of such a wimp in a minute, but I guess we are to think Valentin is the big bad.   

I know they haven't spent much time on Brennan/Carly, but Valentin/Carly would get play like once a week at the very most.  At this point, I'd just cut losses and pair her back with Sonny.

Like I said, I fear it's another year of Valentin and Carly on the trail of 'who killed Jack' and this time next year we'll be grimacing at them about to kiss at the Metro Court with another endless slow burn. Somehow I suspect FV would move the heavens to make sure JPS can play much, much more often onscreen if not off.

I would not put her back with Sonny either, lol. I refuse.

I'm already twitching at Val mentioning Anna again. The last thing I would want is him in the place ironically where Brennan should be if they were to go there with him and Carly.

It's not like this show is full of romance anyway, so I'm not sure that Carly even needs a romantic storyline. She definitely doesn't need to be rushed into one, because LW plays Carly with such a hard edge that it takes a very specific kind of actor--one who radiates confidence--who could make a pairing with Carly work. Until they find one, they should just keep giving Carly scenes with the people she really has chemistry with: the women who are her rivals and frenemies.

OMG.  If Frank believes they could somehow become GH's next big pairing, then he needs Jesus and FAST.

I agree with this. I don’t actually need to see Carly in love at this point.
