On “Beyond the Gates,” after finally accepting that he may have lost Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) forever, Ted (Keith D. Robinson) seemingly succumbs to temptation when Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) stops by. Meanwhile, Dani (Karla Mosley) and Andre (Sean Freeman) plan out their trip, with Vegas being a solid option.

Elsewhere, Smitty (Mike Manning) tells Martin (Brandon Claybon) that their recent encounter felt like old times, though Martin understands that’s just not enough. Preview Clip for Tuesday, September 16: Nicole and Anita (Tamara Tunie) discuss the latest family drama, specifically Nicole putting others before herself, while also contemplating whether she should give Ted a second chance after he reached out to her in recent episodes.

“I thought letting go was the right thing, the only thing. But then I saw him standing there, unguarded, still reaching for me,” Nicole tells her mother in the scene, which is highlighted by the song “Forever Bae” by Keith D. Robinson.

“It brought back feelings that I never thought I would have again. Everyone thought we were perfect, and maybe a part of me loved that,” continues Nicole. “You know, I was never bored. Even after all these years, I’d wake up, look at him sleeping beside me, and feel this quiet wave of gratitude, and at night, when he’d pull me in close, I’d still catch my breath every time. He was my home. Do I really have to let all that go because he messed up? How do you say goodbye to the place where your soul belongs?”

The song is the first single off of Robinson’s forthcoming album “Love Episodic II,” which is set to be released later this fall.
