along with the Obrecht reunion tour,

As one of the people who used to like that group...I must admit that I'm currently not feeling their scenes though the resetting of the Dr. O and Britt relationship could be interesting.

So much has changed since then it's probably just a readjustment for you, the show, everyone.

Maybe they will try to get Donna Mills to do a cameo.

Hehe. I'm not going to lie. As soon as you mentioned his name, I went and had to refresh my memory. ;)

And didn't it turn out that he and Kin were distantly related in real life, too?

True. But for me, I guess it could be also that Maxie isn't around to give their scenes some gravity/grounding, too.

Lord...is Madeline even still alive?

I had never heard that rumor, but it would be cool.

As the longest-running character currently available to GH (he began in 1965 as a child), Scotty Bentley Baldwin deserves a place on the canvas.

(So does Doug Davidson's Paul Williams on Y&R, but that is a whole other can of worms.)

And Maree Cheatham as Marie Horton deserves to have at least regular cameo appearances on DAYS. She's the only remaining original cast member from 1965.

I know: I am dreaming in Technicolor.🤷‍♂️

I'm sure someone here can still verify. It's been so long I can't remember for sure.

Hehe. Don't get me started re: Y&R Paul. But I agree on Scotty. Especially given how he was written out last time.

I love Brad Maule and Tony, especially when rewatching classic era stuff of late, but his death is pretty iconic and he did a wonderful ghost appearance a few years ago. I would use his ghost again but I think the ship has sailed for him randomly coming back from the dead. Karen also is just not integral to me, and Josh Duhon/Logan, while talented and a good character, was radioactive BTS.

I have enough Qs, etc. I actually would bring back from the dead (A.J., Justus, eventually Emily) to not consider more lol. And yes, I would bring on Serena and Tom Jr./Thomas.

I do appreciate how GH has been honoring veteran actors who have passed away the last several years, but it will always stick in my craw how when Emily McLaughlin died, the show just dropped the character of Jessie Brewer without a word. She simply ceased to exist and we had no idea what happened to her until years later when in a throwaway line, Steve Hardy mentioned she had died earlier. It was so dismissive and lacked respect.

Are any details about the backstage issues publicly available? We never even found out what went down between Doug Davidson and Y&R.

Of course, the public does not "deserve" to know anything about actors' private lives and issues, but curiosity does rear its ugly head.🤷‍♂️

I understand. I just told my co-worker earlier today...a DAYS fan...that a lot of actors and actresses have been passing on GH over the last few years. Regardless of how I feel about the writing overall, I do feel when it comes to the vets passing, the writing has been (and continues to) respect them.

The treatment of Emily, as well as Lee and Audrey and Steve, was not right. It always stands out more with Emily as she never got a second act. I hang on to John Beradino's short tribute to Emily after she died. It really wasn't enough, but the way Beradino says, "so long, Jessie" has more emotional impact than some Viking funerals on soaps.

I think if the show were in a strong place then it could be some good drama for Felicia, Lucas, Maxie, etc. to have someone coming back who might be a Tony doppelganger, and they could tie that to Sidwell and his son if that story is still going to go on. I do know it would probably end with Sonny gunning him down while shouting at random times.

Some scheming redneck cousin of Tony and Frisco's might be fun, lol.

I thought the brief mention of Jessie onscreen during the 30th was very respectful. They should've done more, as all they did other than that was Beradino addressing her death at the end of an episode. The problem was not doing a proper tribute.

I was honestly amazed Lee (let alone Gail) got significant tributes, which both did on the show. They even brought back Serena so she, Lucy and Scott could honor Lee, and Gail got that whole goofy treasure hunt episode. Were those perfect, no, but they were very respectful, significant tributes.

Sorry, I meant how they were treated in the '80s.
