@Khan Thanks for the reply. BtG is still finding its way and despite the flaws its still more enjoyable than current Y&R. The Y&R monthly threads are so small now, whereas I can barely keep up with the BtG threads.

I completely disagree, maybe some are, but most are actually offering constructive criticism. cause they are right, alot of that trust stuff don't make sense

I'm surprised the trust stuff has become such an issue. For one, it's a soap so does it really matter considering how soaps showcase wealth? Also, rich people live off credit. People keep talking about $1 million but when she is securing loans, she's able to secure it based off what's in that trust, not the $1 million. This is what rich people do all the time. Now where Leslie will go wrong is if she doesn't get a financial advisor who can help her invest and grow the money, but she definitely has access right now.

I will respectfully disagree. I find the word "constructive" subjective or maybe misused.

I'm glad to know MVJ reads online opinions, but this response is not it.

It doesn't satisfy anyone who has a problem with the money Leslie is spending. We KNOW that $1M was the INITIAL disbursement and that the funds grew over time. We were also told Leslie would get a check every 6 months -- and NOTHING was added that she'd get many millions in the next check.

Then we got this spending spree, this ridiculous spending spree, that we're just supposed to roll with. "It's just a soap" doesn't work. We're already hand-waving a dozen things away because we understand the soap genre. There's no reason to hand-wave something that could easily be handled with a couple lines of dialogue.

This is botched writing, and it can't be easily fixed because they tape so far in advance. What good does it do for MVJ to snap back like this? She's 74, so maybe her filter is gone and she doesn't care.

Snapping back over this? It didn't work.

I was like, "you tell her Andre".

I somehow remember Shanice checking for Andre, and she was a little thirsty for him too.

Wanting to sit there and be upset with him when she was over there being a total Carrie Bradshaw. GIRL, BYE!!!

Awww the good ole days...

UM that look between Joey and Jan!!!

I mean...people have been speculating about Joey and Jan for months. And knowing Jan works at Vanessa...it would now be a soapy twist if it turns out Joey and Jan do know each other. Why? Cuz he just might be Ashley's father.

A decent dialog is fine. I think MVJ is open to it, but is stuff like this necessary:

I think people are picking on it because it's (debatedly) taking too long to get to Silk Press Sheila's comeuppance. And worse, she stays winning.

I don't think MVJ is snapping at anyone there. Snapping is what Carlivati used to do. She's just engaging, a bit enthusiastically to correct the record lol.

Do I find the speediness of Leslie's windfall and how she is flinging it around a bit silly? Sure. But yes, like it or not it is a soap. They say there's more money, that's good enough for me so I'll roll with it.
