I find Vaughn infinitely more intriguing and charismatic than Dex was in the brief time I saw him before his murder.

I think it's how they carry themselves that make them look similar.

I think they look similar.  Not in the way that I would confuse them, but the entire archetype feels the same.

I generally don't think one actor is more charismatic than the other, but Vaughn seems to be more popular I guess?  Both are very generic to me.

The Dex actor for me was just another Ford brother without the character name. FV has been forcing that archetype on my viewing for like 15 years at this point.

I'll share one of my favorite Vaughn scenes, which starts about 2 minutes into this clip. I think this might illustrate what I mean when I talk about the potential for the character, especially if he starts mixing it up with other Port Charles residents beyond Joss:

Maybe in time.  Assuming he's allowed to show it before Frank gets bored with him. It's like what I just said above. It looked like PM was going to do a police hazing storyline with Dex, and it would have been interesting to see if that would be the moment where Dex and his portrayer would have been able to take that storyline and make him...different than other Joss love interests not Cameron. But I guess we will never know now. I feel the Vaughn character is more popular here than what I see elsewhere online in terms of the majority. It seem like most people feel Joss/Vaughn have that CD love interest anti-chemistry. Not all, just most.

That said...I miss the beard. 

I find Eden's Joss and JMB's Lulu to be very similar.  The show props the heck out of them and they are slightly smug and unlikable.  The show then throws love interests at them, but none seem to stick and are fired when they aren't useful anymore.

I hope Joss finds her Dante because that's the only time I felt Lulu was likeable in that era.

They’re both mini LW’s Carly. It actually never bothered me. First with Lulu and Carly being family and seemingly close under JMB and one of Carly’s kids being a mini her I find is appropriate. I don’t find them similar to either previous Carly though. But I’ve never found LW to be anything like Tamara or Sarah either lol.
