Melody Thomas Scott

Since February 1979, Melody Thomas Scott has portrayed the iconic role of Nikki Newman on “The Young and the Restless.” She garnered her first-ever Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in Daytime Drama Series in 1999. She later won the Best Actress at the Soap Opera Digest Awards in 2001 and received four Soap Opera Update Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in 1992, 1993, 1995 and 1996.

Scott began her career at age three. She studied singing, tap dancing, ballet and jazz and became one of the world-famous “Meglin Kiddies,” performing in USO shows as she started booking national commercials and guest spots on such series as “Wagon Train,” “My Three Sons,” “Ironside” and a recurring role on “The Waltons.” Scott made her motion picture debut at age eight when she was cast by Alfred Hitchcock as the young Tippi Hedren in the thriller “Marnie.” She has co-starred with legendary actors Clint Eastwood, Geraldine Page, John Wayne and Kirk Douglas. Scott has worked on stage and in numerous television shows and was the subject of Lifetime Television’s “Intimate Portrait.”

As a lifelong fan of “I Love Lucy,” Scott served as a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Center in Jamestown, N.Y., which is committed to preserving the legacy of the great comedienne. In 2020, Scott released her memoir, “Always Young and Restless.”

In June 2024, Scott and her husband, Edward J. Scott, were recipients of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award during “The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.”

Sarah Michelle Gellar

Joining the cast of “All My Children” in February 1994 as Kendall Hart, the long-lost daughter of Erica Kane (Susan Lucci), Sarah Michelle Gellar quickly made a name for herself in daytime as fans either loved to hate her character, or root for her as she sought to get back at her mother for abandoning her. From tormenting Erica while attempting to seduce Dimitri Marick (the late Michael Nader), Kendall became a prominent fixture in Pine Valley as she went on to embrace her Kane heritage and create a bond with both her mother and her sister, Bianca Montgomery. In 1995, Gellar won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Kendall. After just two and a half years on the soap, she exited the series in July 1995. By 1997, she would go on to receive global recognition for her role as Buffy Summers in the hit series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” which ran for seven seasons, five on The WB and the last two on UPN. In total, there were 144 episodes produced of the series, which is currently eyeing a reboot on Hulu.

In 2024, Gellar returned to television with a starring role in the Paramount+ original series, “Dexter: Original Sin.”

Outside of television, Gellar is known for playing several memorable characters, including in the films “Cruel Intentions,” “Scream 2,” “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” the “Scooby-Doo” movies and “The Grudge.”

Demi Moore

Receiving her first-ever Oscar nomination earlier this year for her memorable portrayal as a fading Hollywood star seeking a younger, idealized version of herself through a sinister substance in the film “The Substance,” Demi Moore is best known to soap fans for her role as Jackie Templeton on ABC’s “General Hospital.”

Although the series was not her first acting gig, she became a fixture in Port Charles from 1982-1984 before going on to appear in numerous films including “Ghost,” “A Few Good Men,” “Indecent Proposal,” “Disclousure,” “The Scarlet Letter,” “The Juror,” “Strip Tease” and “G.I. Jane,” among others.

Her television projects include roles on such shows as “Moonlighting,” “Tales from the Crypt,” “Ellen,” “Will & Grace,” “Empire,” “Feud,” and more recently, “Landman,” among others.

The Walk of Fame announcement was streamed live on Wednesday on YouTube. Watch the full stream below.

Dates for each ceremony have not yet been scheduled, with recipients given two years from the date of selection to schedule star ceremonies before expiring. Ceremonies are typically announced up to ten days before a dedication ceremony, with an announcement shared on the official Walk of Fame website.
