I wonder when we'll get the reveal of who was on the other line with Leslie when she called asking for a favor ?

oooh. Was that way back when the supposed DNA test for Eva/Ted was run? or something else?

P.S Don't hate me for being slightly negative. I was raised in a toxic household and I can't help it.

Oh, hush. That was all fact. Though I DID like the sweet treat comment. It was his best line all episode.

Looking forward to your comments on Brooke's trip/adventure over on B&B next week. :)

I loved the scenes with Naomi, Jacob, Regina and June. It reminded me of the british soaps how they'll bring on a family member to enhance a story but not necessarily for a long run. I thought the actress who played Regina was good and I remain invested in the story. I feel like the kids might not be Tyrell and Samantha because that seems too on the nose and they tend to surprise us with reveals. Interested to see where this goes.

Totally agree. I feel they have done a good job taking the story from the C plot it was to now emerging as an intriguing B plot. It's what they did with the Doug/Vanessa story at the start of show, and I like the slow burn nature of it. I feel invested enough that I want to see where it goes. And I really would love to see Regina again.

It had to be her cousin Kenya Moore from Atlanta.

Nobody told Kat about Martin's situation? And now Samantha will tell Kat the sanitized version she knows?

Naomi blurting to Dani about Bill's role in the murder, which Dani didn't know about?

Yeah it was when Eva brought the straw she took from Ted's smoothie.  After Eva leaves she calls up someone and says she needs a favor.

The lines were good. His acting though...smh. He was giving what someone said online as Temu Enrique Iglesias.

Yeah, like I said in the Soap News Thread, perhaps it's the fact I'm overdue a vaca, but I'm looking forward to the cast going to Italy. And the Friday preview looked great.

OOOOOOOOOOO how I just hollered at the Kenya mention.

I'm one who used to enjoy the Joey story with Doug and Vanessa but I'm ready for something else. I think Vanessa has turned out to be a breakout character for the show and has chemistry with everybody and I need them to give her a story deserving of her talents. This needs to go somewhere fast or they need to move her into another story.

I loved the scenes with Naomi, Jacob, Regina and June. It reminded me of the british soaps how they'll bring on a family member to enhance a story but not necessarily for a long run. The weakest point of the episode were the Ashley/Andre scenes. I think they have good chemistry as friends but nothing more. I prefer him with Dani but again, they aren't ready to commit to that so it's hard to know what to think of those scenes.

I don't know... There is no way that Tyrell and Samantha aren't June's kids because as far as I know, there isn't anyone else currently on canvas that are that age. The only other set of kids I can think of that are that age are Vanessa and Doug's twins but they are away at college right now and I highly doubt we'll see them on the show anytime soon, if ever. Also as far as I know, Vanessa and Doug have never mentioned anything about them being adopted.

The one twist I can think of that could happen is if it turns out that June never had any kids and Ron and Cecile are actually Regina's kids and all of the accusations that Regina is hurtling at June... she's just projecting them because she was the one that was a drug addict and abandoned her kids. But it doesn't seem like we're going that route. Then again, you never know with this show.

Or maybe the writers introduced Regina as a way to possibly usher the kids off the show if Martin and Smitty actually get divorced and Tyrell and Samantha don't want to live in a divorced household since they are so anxious for their parents to get back together.

  • I appreciate that Chelsea is getting involved with Sharon and Tracy, but how come when she suggests something more modern, they are okay with it, but when Anita did it, it was not acceptable?
  • Deadbeat, Bradley does not want you because you not only lied for two years, but you put him and the children you both decided you wanted together in DANGER! You deserve to suffer a bit. Cry a damn river with those crocodile tears.
  • Naomi, mama, Vernon paid you a retainer fee of $1, and you just violated that by telling your mother. I kind of expected better from you.
  • I appreciate Chelsea asking both Sharon and Tracy about their pasts; it is nice learning more of what they have been up to without the drama of it all.
  • I appreciate that Anita is not going for the solo and wants to share the spotlight with the Articulettes. That shows she has heard them, and I like that.
  • I kind of love the dynamic between Chelsea, Katherine, Naomi, and Samantha! I need more of these.
  • I like that the reunion turned into honouring Barbara and the legacy she had as an original Articulette. I am sure she is smiling down on them.
  • Oh, Tyrell, you sneaky little sneak calling Vernon over. I see you and what you have done.
  • I love Dani playing true Auntie to Deadbeat.

Notes:

  • It makes me so happy seeing so many characters interacting in different groups. It feels like a full canvas today.
  • I am so excited about seeing this concert! It is going to be a good time. I can tell.
