I believe Sasha will be back or recast somewhere down the line, but VK?  She's entirely wrong for the part of Sasha.  Not a single thing about Victoria, her acting, her looks, her age, etc fit Sasha in any capacity lol.  I know it's from unreliable sources, but this seems extra unbelievable.  Which obviously means she will be cast and start appearing next month 😂

I think Frank never wanted to get rid of her, but nor do I believe it was all 'her decision' given the insane stretches to keep her last year. That's a very common face-saving PR move. I think they had to cut for budget and off she went. I think the door is open for her to come back and waste more space for years to come, but I also wouldn't be surprised if she never did, or if Sasha just made guest appearances in future because Frank loves SM.

But I highly doubt they will recast. The character has no real drive on canvas. People just offload their fanfic to various spots online and know it will get picked up, or you have spec getting spun into 'rumor'. "How can they cut Sasha when she just had Michael's baby? I know, she'll be recast!"

The ONLY thing I would buy about Konefal as Sasha is the fact she was the Face of Deception.  Sasha was never believable as that, but VK would be.  She has more of an it factor than bland SM (who I do think is beautiful too).  And honestly, VK does look a little bit like Emma Samms.

I think Sasha making guest appearances it a perfect place to land with the character.  I don't think the show was committed to making RG's Michael/Sasha an item yet, so we honestly only need Sasha back to give us updates about the kid and Robert/Holly for now.

There isn't a single character on the show I could imagine VK playing as a recast.  I guess the show could go wild and age Avery or Donna, but VK is probably too old for that.

There are potential characters Konefal could play on GH - Lucy's daughter Christina by another name, maybe even the dreaded Lila Rae Alcazar (sorry, caroline! I don't want Skye back full time ever either) or others I can't think of offhand. Sasha is not one of them but I don't think there is any actual credible rumor that VK is coming to the show. I think it's spec or fanfic run amok, and I think it is simply not happening.

I would have no issue with boring ol' Sasha making visits. I am surprised they didn't let her go out with a bang or play out this babynapping plotline with her and Daisy (ugh) there, but maybe money was that tight. I could see bringing her back many years from now back in her old schemer mode once the kid is grown, but probably with another actress lol.

Given they recast Australian Brennan with an American actor. And Y&R not only doing the same thing but also de-aging the character of Cane by like 15 years, I don’t put anything past any of the soaps when it comes to a recast.

Brennan is a throw away character to me, so I don't really care they made the change.  And I know recasts can be wacky and still work okay.

VK just seems so far off from Sasha in every aspect.  She's just way to in your face sexy to be the Q cook lol.  I am not a big VK fan, but she's definitely the type of actress that commands your attention and Sasha is so meek as a character.  If the show really wanted Victoria they perhaps should have looked at her as a Molly recast.   I don't think she'd be exactly right for that part either, but Molly is more pliable as role.

I just don't think this rumor even exists outside of fanfiction or spec that someone picked up to get clicks.

That was my first thought when I read the rumour, but I then had to ask if it would really be that much more of a change than going from Sean Kanan to Billy Warlock as AJ.  And as someone who thinks they were both very good in the role, I'd keep an open mind if this recast happened.  But I think the best idea for a Sasha recast would be to follow OLTL's example with Larry Wolek, and hand the role over to the actor's sibling.  But apparantly I wasn't supposed to bring the rumours here, so we probably should stop talking about them.

Speaking of the Cane recast on Y&R, there is something hilarious about the fact that Billy Flynn is supposed to have pretended to be Connor Floyd's father, and now Floyd will be joining Days as a recast of Flynn's character.  Though I'm not sure it's more ridiculous than Summer being in the same "age group" as Mariah, who's twin was a teenager before Summer was born.

I see your point, but if Gh really, really wants VK just make her a new character.  I still think this rumor is off the rails and VK's acting and vibe aren't a fit for GH in any capacity.

I don't think a Sasha recast is needed at all, but if needed, for flashbacks or whatever, Sofia's sister is the most reasonable idea.
(not a spoiler or rumor or anything at all -- nothing is predicted or even speculated.). 
Just sayin, if they have to have her at some point.
Sofia Mattsson's sister Helena was a temporary substitute for Sasha in 2022.

I don't even hate VK.  If you read the Days thread you know I am obsessed with Victoria's ability to show off her cleavage on every occasion including funerals and her father's death bed lol. 

If VK joins GH I will look forward to making fun of her inappropriate styling.  It will be especially hilarious to watch her distract Mo from his lines more than usual because her boobs are hanging out 😂

I guess her outfits have never bothered me because one of my close friends has huge boobs and they’ve been on display our entire 12 year friendship 😂
