Notes:

• Love that we're cycling through relations within the Dupree family; I enjoy seeing Dani in aunt mode with Katherine. Hoping this trend translates into Nicole with her nieces at some point.
• CBS News interrupted the episode for ten minutes to address the news concerning Iran launching retaliatory missiles on Israel.

I'm starting to think that maybe Martin does not actually remember what happened that night, at least not consciously. Considering how he got an immediate flashback right after that Zack guy mentioned how that storefront owner got beat up badly, I can't help but wonder if something really bad happened to Martin that night and he's blocked it out due to extreme trauma. How much of that is actually Martin's fault though? It has to be pretty scandalous for both Anita and Vernon to be terrified that it could actually hurt his political career. 

I also second that motion on everybody liking Carlton! I've always liked him on the Dynasty reboot years ago and I loved his chemistry with Elizabeth Gillies's Fallon. I shipped Michael and Fallon so hard back then and I was super pissed when the show pivoted Fallon to their pet character Liam, who they tried so hard to make happen. 

I also really like Chelsea and Madison and I hope they last for a while. And honestly, I really don't like Ted and Nicole so much anymore now that they don't have nearly as much chemistry as they did before with the previous actor and I actually think that Nicole would be better off divorcing Ted and moving on with Carlton. That would be awesome! 

Martin got a good cliffhanger, but I need to know what's going on next week, lol.

I'm assuming Martin ended up somewhere in "the bad part of town" driving his expensive car and was jumped. Haven't the flashbacks hinted at someone saying things about will his money/expensive car help him now? Or something. I have a feeling he was getting beaten to a pulp and fought back killing one of his attackers. Then Vernon helped cover up the death. Now Martin as a politician is against hate and violence so it would ruin his career if it turned out he killed someone in a violent way. Let alone his rich family cover it up. 

Just theories. 

I was not expecting Dani/Andre to be outed that way. It was funny, but I was hoping for a much bigger "reveal" in front of lots of people. 

I'm curious to see once Dani/Andre are outed to everyone.. if they'll keep things going or if they realized that the sneaking around/forbidden aspect is what drew the two together.   It's apparent during filming of these recent episodes that Andre/Ashley were still being foreshadowed/end gamed.

Also, I think Naomi gave bad advice to Derek because a proposal is sure to freak Ashley out even more then make her feel secure.   I'm hoping that these random islanded couple issues are either going to lead to them permanently breaking up.. or something happening to Derek (i.e. killed during a fire rescue) that frees Ashley up for Andre.

I think Martin probably was mugged/attacked and when defending himself he accidently beat the person to death.   And I wonder if this busboy is either a relative of the person killed and/or someone that saw what truly happened and will be gaslighting Martin.

Pacing is still an issue with this show... since last Friday we got movement on the Doug/Vanessa/Joey front. and they haven't been on for five episodes.   I'm sure we could have sacrificed the pottery breaking scene, Chelsea acting extra with Madison, or a Leslie vs Kat scene in order to get some follow up on that story.

i’d be okay if they got married and left the show:) but, instead they’ll keep  pushing ashley/andre — that’s what the ff button’s for. 

Perhaps it's the nostaglia that's been going around this morning (and that David/Donna commerical that has been airing), But Chels and Kat at the beach house was giving college 90210. And I was not hating it. I also hollered at them being focused on their business after the comments I saw yesterday asking for that very thing.

Hehe. Slide, slide, slippery slide...the 90 memories continue. Go 'head, Bill. Though that picture of them when they realize they like each other though he was still married...so messy. I do like we are getting some substance with Bill and Hayley though. And wooow they are letting this scene breathe, too. Goes back to what I was saying about the writers shifting back to Dani/Bill/Hayley as A story.

That's definitely a solid theory. It's one thing if Martin got into an argument with someone, lost his temper and ended up beating someone to death. I can definitely see how this could affect his career in politics. But if someone was assaulting him and he had to defend himself, yeah then I don't really see how he could be seen as a hypocrite especially since that would clearly be a case of self-defense.

As much as I would like to think that the general public would sympathize with Martin, considering the current political climate of this country... On the other hand, Martin could use some growing up and maturing to do and maybe someday down the road he might achieve his dream of being President.

Hayley was so mad when Dani was talking to Bill. The problem for Hayley is that Dani can carry on a conversation with Bill that doesn't shift into being about sex while almost everything Hayley talks about ends being about sex.
