OMFG!!!! Dayyyyyummm Nick!!! I see the costume designer pinpointed that fitted outfit all the way down for me. WOOF!!! And Audra in the yellow dress. When she sashayed into Crimson Lights in that yellow looked hot AF, even I did a double take. ZS was giving. I kinda like Claire's, Nikki's and Victoria's outfits, but those ZS and JM fits were the standouts for me.

That said...for an episode where nothing really happened...I actually enjoyed it for the first time this week as a whole. I guess it has the slight hint of plot movement. Nikki and Victoria being worried that Claire didn't want to move in with Kyle. Kyle being a little toooooooooo flirty for my liking with Audra and fall of double entrendres with her AND Claire...signaling he is so about to do something stupid. And then there was Jack, Diane, and Kyle's pow-wow and figuring out that Victor was behind Audra's company. Then there was just Holden stalking Audra per usual.

Audra scheming is always going to be fun. And I do hope she best Kyle. Well at least without actually sleeping with him. I am wondering how Holden will factor into that whole triangle now. Wild card?

What is the reason why soaps can’t use whatever sets they want? How exactly does it cost money..? I’m sure they still have Michael and Lauren’s house, why can’t they just put it up and shoot it when needed lol

I did some research because I had a similar question. (also, I don't want to poop on your joke which was amusing, but it sent me down a rabbit hole)

A Reddit user who works at TeleVision City (where Y&R is filmed) estimated it takes 45 minutes to set up or reconstruct an already built set.  However, according to union rules, it takes at least seven crew members (not counting lighting and sound installation).  As always, the real cost is the labor, not the task.

Y&R uses robotic cameras, so there is only a skeleton crew on set.  Most of their crew budget goes to production assistants, who cannot move sets.  So, they would need to hire a crew every time they wanted to put up or take down a set (for two days) as well as a lighting and sound design installation.  Which is obviously very different from how production worked when money was more freely spent (and good for the unions for keeping the workplace safe).

So, filming a single day in Lauren and Michael's living room could cost as much as they spend on two actors salaries for an entire year.

At last....AMANDA!!!

And I had mixed feelings tbh.

So we are back to this again? And by this I meant Sharon/Nick/Giggly Heffa. While I liked everyone looked good (you better wear those high heels, SC!!!!), been there, done that. I liked that Sharon and Phyllis came to some truce right before Sharon and Nick went off to London. It would have been nice and creepy to watch them bond and Phyllis take an unhealthy attachment to her new friendship with Sharon due to her PTSD. So I'm sorry to see that fall to the wayside.

Meanwhile, I would like to think that now that Amanda has shown up as Dumas's lawyer that it meant that soon we will get that Dumas reveal. I'm happy to see MM. However, like Lily, Devon, and Nate, I too was not liking the wordplay she was playing.

Meh. at Sally babying Billy. I did like Nick calling him out.

Well they do exist. So I wouldn't be surprised.

    • Yep. Less slapstick (humor is welcome) and more drama.   Definitely have been busy, but I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. Though I am almost a month behind.

    • I think that's why we don't have it every year. The reason for it is not as worthy as it once was.  Last year we had a wedding instead. I don't remember 2 years back. Obviously that is pitiful. Do you recall? Also, Gio seems genuinely like a nice guy. Sawandi, same. Sawandi's supposed to be wearing a newish male piece of jewelry, a man brooch. And, if that name doesn't sound odd, I don't know what does. Guessing it's a pin that a man can wear.

    • Brooke clinging on Ridge was cringe. Yet Ridge could've reminded Brooke + Katie that he's with Taylor and happy, so he's just as pathetic. Maybe they are destined. Yet another call out to Liam's mom. By November sweeps unknown twin Linus will be in LA.
