Well, that was a short run for Drucker.

I don't see much changes taking place under Maxam, but maybe he'll surprise us.

We don't need to just post 'oh?'. We really don't.

Anyway, like others I have no faith in anything changing at DAYS. Call me when they bring someone in from outside.

At this point, call me when NBCUniversal buys out Ken Corday/Corday Productions/Sony, and we get some major changes.

The most useless EP in soap history! Janet Spellman-Drucker was there the ENTIRE time that Albert Alarr was wrecking havoc and she did NOTHING to improve the situation. She knew what was happening and enabled it. Good riddance!

If it ever happens I'll eat my hat. But yes, that too.

I think her claim to fame as EP is the fake exterior AI generated shots.  Noel should have been named EP after Alarr anyway. But the pressure was on to name a woman.

I calculated that Maxam's first episode is likely to be March 23, 2026 unless Days takes more than the usual dark weeks up through May 2. Here's how I got to this date (all based on Jason47's posted production schedule). As of 3/7/25, Days shot Dec 30, 2025 episode (Jason's last schedule update). In the last two calendar years, Days has been dark five weeks total by end of April. So far this year Days has been dark three weeks up through 3.7.2025, if they go dark two weeks between now and May 2 they will shoot 60 more episodes under Drucker i.e. through March 20, 2026. Wow. So Maxam will be EP for six months until Days reaches the end of its current contract with Paramount. I guess it's possible that they made the switch because Paramount indicated they will extend Days passed Sept 2026 and they want changes, or Maxam is cheaper than Drucker and for the final six months the show airs he will be EP... badumbummmmm....

I don't think Corday would ever sell, but it'd be nice if they could get Sony out of the picture.

It's the only thing I truly believe will save this soap; I've said it for years: NBCUniversal/Universal Television should be running the ship. Buy out everyone that's involved (Ken Corday/Corday Productions⏤who I am sure would love the money—and Sony Pictures Television) and invest in this soap a bit. It's time.

Sony Pictures Television barely has any say, but I am sure Ken Corday would love the payout and seeing actual money for once.

Are we sure NBCUniversal would even be invested in it at all?
