I see no chemistry between the two actors what so ever. The character just needs some more fleshing out and exploration into her back story. Not only does Nicole know Ted had an affair, i think she knows he paid her off. Leslie just told Eva that she plans on exposing them for what they did. I think part of them getting over it was that Ted had to assure her that this woman would never be a problem again, which included paying her off to go away.
