Cancel this trash!

It might even be too generous to call it trash. This is worse than trash. I don't think this show can be saved anymore, since we all know that Brad Bell won't step down, and his "writing" is driving it straight to hell.

This show is completely ridiculous and out of control, but with that being said, I'm team Luna. I cannot stand sanctimonious Steffy or her quack mother Taylor.

By the end of this show... all the actors will have turned into occasional directors, script writers, editors etc... People are probably embarrassed to be on screen in this drivel... and prefer going behind the camera.

I don't wish cancelation on any soap, but B&B needs a complete overhaul. Brad Bell has always had these creative resurgence moments and then it is nothing but drivel until the next resurgence. We've just been subjected to this slump for a really long period of time.

The fact that not one person brought up that Bill also got Taylor off the hook for shooting him in the back all those years ago is just ridiculous. Steffy, Ridge and Taylor are all hypocrites and those beats should most definitely be played out. He has been the headwriter for almost three decades. Hire a continuity person, like BTG, to help with the lack of follow through on his own storylines.

What has been done to Brooke is criminal but this rant is over for now.

@skiman12082004 Exactly, B&B needs a creative reboot similar to Y&R in 1980ish - when the show expanded to one hour and a lot of actors quit. It was the best thing when they pivoted from the piano playing sad, old drama to the Abbott and Williams families and eventually the Newmans. Tying Jill to the Abbotts and Katherine to the Newmans kept the OG Y&R alive in some manner. And the show was better for it. B&B could easily do the same thing.

Yeah... what is this nonsense?

And not for nothing, as much as I utterly despise any political climate ever, maybe giving Luna a full pardon for murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, etc. wasn't really the best move, just sayin.

Giving the serial killer Luna a pardon... pardon me... Is... I think safe to say... The stupidest thing that Bradley Bell has ever written. This is a new low.

At this point it feels like the show is written on autopilot...

B&B's latest Jump-the-Shark moment: Sheila saying Lunacy should be locked in prison.

The ultimate commentary on the show's writing/direction: when actors like KB and DD are struggling to sell this foolishness.

On the other hand, it's very easy for JMW since Steffy is the only rational person in this insanity. Oh, and, is TN now an 'under 5' player? Check out how many words he spoke, despite scenes with Lunacy and Steffy specifically asked him questions.

It's remarkable the heavy lifting the female actors on B&B do to keep it afloat - it's always been this way. It's skewed unlike any other soap.

Bold really needs a new head writer. Bradley has run out of story ideas, and the ones he comes up with are an embarrassment to the show. Bradley doesn't know how to write for new characters either.

    • I wonder if Falcon Crest wasn't seen as macho enough for them.  I first saw Dynasty on FX around 1994 or 1995. I think it ran for a few years, although I may be off as I moved and lost the channel for a while.
    • -- The fact that we know the mess that Billy made when he renovated the Chancellor place makes his entire sadsack attitude pathetic. I wanted someone to smack the hell out of him. -- And why did Diane care so much about Billy's opinion beyond hearing he liked it better before? Why continue pressing him on it? Josh Griffith clearly thinks this is a storyline, and it isn't. It never was. -- So Mariah cheated on Tessa offscreen. OF COURSE it was offscreen. Then we got this ridiculous, convoluted explanation of why she cheated, ending in her announcement that she doesn't have any character at all. GMAFB.  -- Now we'll get the cliche garbage of Mariah confessing to Tessa, who turns to Daniel for sex even though she's a lesbian. (Please spare me the comment that Tessa is bi.) -- The excuse for Summer leaving town? Also pathetic. Why in the hell would she have to leave town to find a new creative director for Marchetti?
    • I vaguely recall it surfaced on either TNT or TBS around 1993 or so but I could be wrong about the channel. By 1997 when this article was written Knots was still airing on TNT, Dallas was on the old TNN network (which today is Paramount), and Dynasty was on…well I don’t even recall now but feel like it was either E!  or Bravo. TNN ran Dukes of Hazzard and Dallas together in the evenings for years surprised they didn’t just pick up FC to resurrect the trifecta.
    • I think you're thinking of the dress she wore on April 15 from her Ebony cover shoot when Andre had to put her in bed.
    • @Maximthank you for such a thoughtful reply. I have printed it out so I have it with me as I watch most of the soap clips on the YT app on my TV. I've always wanted to get into Edge of Night, but I didn't no where to start.
    • Laugh-In was also before my time, but I loved watching her when Nick at Nite and TV Land ran repeats. She was also on Sesame Street for years. So vibrant. One of those people I've never heard bad word of. Sorry to hear that.
    • Amazing resource. Thank you! I'm pretty confident that she's worn it before. I'll look into it. That or I'm having some serious deja vu.
    • Other than Soapnet I am trying to remember if I ever even saw it in syndication. I know I saw Dallas, Knots and Dynasty in syndication before Soapnet.
