A bunch of people on Twi/X are getting very agitated because the IMDb lists Ron as Assoc. HW!!! But, look at this list, below. It shows 6 people as Assoc. HW including all of the people also listed for BDW. Is this just the IMDb getting things wonked up or is it possibly a vanity title they are giving away wholesale?! I'm going to see what Wikiwand shows.

IMDB often lists breakdown writers as "Associate headwriters".  That's simply the label/term that IMDB sometimes uses for the breakdown writer position for soaps.

They don't mean co-headwriter.

No, there was no confusion that it meant co-Head just Associate HW. In daytime an Assoc HW is a position one step up from BDW & one step below co-HW. But if the IMDb routinely lists that wrong for daytime, then these people should be able to be assuaged.

Dan O'Conner was listed as both a breakdown writer and script writer on today's Days of Our Lives.

Celena Cipriaso's last GH breakdown was 20 episodes ago, Feb 19. I think she's been canned.

Dan wasn't listed as outline writer in today's episode, only alpha listed in script writer list.

Thanks.  So I guess that means he wrote the breakdown for Tuesday's episode - I will give him that credit for the archive.   Please let me know if/when he's credited again with the BDWs.

Does anybody know if there are agents who specialise in representing daytime writers, please?

A guess, probably there are BUT very few & older. Any WGA-approved agent would do fine. 

Do you happen to know any actual soap writers?

Thanks, yes I do know a couple and plan to ask them, but just wondered if there are any known figures in the industry and thought SON may know.
