Glad to see everyone on agreement about RJ. I personally hate he isn’t apart of this story.

Awful, horrible writing. I feel sorry for actors having to recite dialogue like this. Give Steffy that line, and I feel differently, but from Ridge? No.

Amen. Absolute No.

Count me in in the group that is finding it hard to believe R.J would be gone through this.

I mean... he's the only one related to nearly everyone in the conflict.

I don’t want to offend the Steffy fans but again it’s too one sided on her and Ridges end. If this does lead Into Brooke and Ridge breaking up again and him going back to Taylor, I would think we should hear RJs POV, where he either tells Steffy to lay off disrespecting his mom, and that she’s selfish for only caring about seeing their father with HER mother, without considering how he would feel. Or even better RJ being  the one to tell Steffy how childish and petty she has been wanting to see her parents back together while he’s done nothing but stay out of all that like an “adult” should.

I don't think we - you, me... anyone else... mean to offend any fans, Steffy's, Hope's or whoever's. Bradley Bell is doing this for us... every... single... day. He offends every fan base on a rotating basis. That's his hobby.

So... continue speaking your mind, it's refreshing to read. :)  I second your idea about RJ taking a stance against Steffy's behavior. It's shocking and unrealistic that he hasn't done so far. They are his two sisters after all. Why wouldn't he? Someone wrote in another board that he was scared of Steffy. Excuse me... Scared of WHAT? Steffy is not some grand dame high and mighty persona or an intimidating bully... so that anyone can fear her. She's toxic and bitter at best and boring and repetitive at worst. She's the ex "show them what you got and you're get what you want in a fishnet" Brooke copy.

And these days all she does is bark next to Ridge... how she either hates the Logans or Sheila Carter (the town pizza lady). Every day it's the same barking. barking bad dog GIF by Nat Geo Wild

It's a wonder how her husband hasn't cheated on her so far.  But... I want to say one thing  -  all through this horrible material they are giving Steffy... JMW is working it... giving her all. Annika too. And I give them a huge praise for that. Both characters are lacking substance. Both actresses are sublime.

One thing also... I really struggle to believe that Brooke, who is 60+ year old woman that has married 182 men and given birth in Big Bear 50 times... who once terrorized this family with her scandals, manipulations and stole the entire business through the original takeover... will be working in the hallway (as Carter put it) and be scared to stand up to Steffy.

And now Carter is here to defend poor scared Brooke and Hope? Give me a break. Brooke circa 1990-2002 would have chewed and spit Steffy for breakfast and... then revived her to chew her up some more. They declawed Brooke and turned her into the most generic blond character... that only smiles and cries. Bradley - this is not how you are going to get KKL that Emmy. Not with these pathetic scenes. Know that.

And a huge problem for all the viewers that have watched more... than the only last few years - for more than a decade it was Steffy written as the vixen-bitch and not Hope. Her current re-write into the moralizing, judgmental biddy that is disgusted by the "slut" Hope... is bizarre to say the least. Steffy has done everything that she blames Hope for... times x 10. The entire conflict is based on empty air and nothing more. It's offensive to people who have watched and remember. I don't think Bradley Bell realizes that we... do. Just because he forgets what he wrote a week ago, doesn't mean we do.

Sadly.

For us.

Agree with you and others that RJ should be in the mix.

This is another example of Brad getting bored with a character after 6 months.

It actually computes to me that Ridge would say that. He completely soured on Hope after she (rightfully!!!) couldn't commit to Thomas. I think he knows deep down his son is a loser and thinks that being with someone like Hope was his only shot at turning his life around. It's not Hope's responsibility of course, but Ridge is so self absorbed he'd never see that POV.

As for RJ, on paper it would be interesting to get his take on the situation. But let's be real, the actor is very attractive but completely out of his depth and would add nothing to the drama. This isn't a case of Brad just getting bored with a character IMO, it's that he knows the actor is a dud. I still think Luna being a psycho is a re-write because of this. I wouldn't mind RJ being sidelined for a few months while the actor takes acting lessons. If he improves, great! If not, recast.

At least B&B continues to dress KKL superbly. I'll keep repeating that Brooke really need to cut off Hope when she waxes about Carter doing it for the Logans.

It's too bad they can't use any of the BeLief flashbacks because I need Brooke remind the Forresters of all the dirty tricks they all pulled to cheat Brooke out of the formula that made the FC major $$$.

Yeah, there is no f-ing way Ridge would call Hope that. On top of raising Hope, Ridge just isn't that kind of guy. That's a major fail, but intended to push Ridge right into Taylee's arms.

Somebody please let RJ out of the rooftop gym! While it's s conceivable RJ wouldn't know about the takeover because it's only been 2 days since Brooke found out, I hope it's because they're saving RJ's reaction to milk the story further.

LSV is really looking Boss.

While the set-up, insta-love etc are weak, the story has been solid from the moment Brooke over heard Cope. It's been fast-paced - for B&B - and well-acted by all.

YEEEEEEEEEEEES. That would have been iconic.

My thoughts exactly! I mean... I remember he used to be like her dad. It disturbed me to hear him call her... what he called her. I felt... icky and dirty and as if I've heard something really inappropriate. He was her father figure for years.

Wow at Ridge calling Hope “a nasty bitch”. That’s a bit too much.

I’m sure that this will break up Bridge and send Ridge to Tayler. Problem of it is, do TK and RB have any chemistry? RB has done some okay scenes, nothing memorable and still doesn’t feel like Taylor to me at all. Still a cold fish to me really.

The Lunacy scenes are just what they are, pure lunacy. Maybe Dollar Bill can come up with advertising a Free Luna t-shirt campaign?

I admit, I would probably like this storyline of Carter taking over Forrester and Carter and Hope’s relationship if there were any kind of stakes and build up to it.

But with the way Brad writes, everything will probably be fine, and Carter will be back in everyone’s good graces by Spring.

Btw, where the hell is RJ? The only biological Logan and Forrester that’s (I think) still on the canvas should be a part of this feud.

Yeah, I agree. Making it to last Friday, there has been some interesting turns and great scenes (Carter vs Ridge last Monday comes to mind), but the way to getting here has been so jarring. It would have been better if there had been a nice build.

I don't know. Someone coming for Forrester. Carter might wind up in a who done it mystery.

Good question. All of this going down and he's nowhere in sight. Odd.

I agree. I know I really liked Carter vs Ridge and both actors really bought it.

The passive-aggressive misogyny in this show is on another level. The disgusting rape-apologist storyline with the mints and Luna... making out the woman to be the bad one with the unbelievable rewrite... now once again blaming the woman primarily and calling her nasty little bitch. It's so off-putting and disappointing that we are witnessing this level of misogyny on soaps in 2024. I still can't shake the feeling I got when I heard Ridge call... nasty little bitch... the girl he raised as a daughter. The girl that sat on his lap and called him dad. Bradley Bell is hitting new rock bottom.

Not that it wouldn’t be the same BS he always spews but I’ve noticed more recently Thudley seems to avoid doing any interviews with what’s going on at the show. Is he still butt hurt over the time Michael Fairman or whoever called out his BS over the Thomas/Caroline “affair” stuff?

What is this writing? Brooke would never allow someone to disrespect her child like this, and certainly not in her presence.

I keep waiting for the slap/single tear/ "how dare you" combo but she's just standing ther dumbstruck. I wasn't even a Hope fan before this story but this hateful writing has converted me.

Absolutely. I'm ashamed of what I'm seeing. Horrible stuff.

If Brooke doesn't kick Ridge to the curb forever... for acting this vile towards a girl 30-40 years younger than him, a girl that once sat on his lap and saw him as her father... I think this show is completely doomed. It should be cancelled. I swear, If I see Brooke kiss and beg Ridge for attention one more time, I'm tuning out forever.

What message is this sending women and girls all over the world? That in 2024 it's okay for a grown man/a grandfather with grandchildren... to call a 30 year old young woman - a nasty little bitch? And then... her mother will continue sharing her bed with him? No freaking way! If this continues... this will be a new level of vile even for this show. I will lose even the 0.1 respect I have towards Bradley Bell.

I see that all around the internet people are reacting to what they are seeing and all of them feel like the show has passed a limit and become incredibly tacky, in bad taste... and insensitive. In the background of what is happening in the media and the news all day long about violence against women... verbal, sexual, physical... this is even more disturbing to watch.

And we are supposed to root for Ridge? No-freaking-way!  I didn't have a side till I heard this yesterday. I swear. Now I want Ridge to fall... just because of how vile he is.

And Brooke - you better step your boldness up and put that jerk in his place - he has been gaslighting your for decades. You are a grown woman - ACT IT.
