Shockingly well... Her and KKL have been getting some really cringe dialogue lately. I find myself thinking, God, these women have some serious patience and professionalism in... trying to deliver this drivel in the best way possible.

The awful writing and Annika acting choices make Hope look very unhinged.

I expect her to start killing people very soon just like Luna.

Kim Mutula left the show because of the awful writing. She had enough of how weak Hope was written and endless triangle with Steffy and Liam.

@Maxim 100% on all your points. The only saving grace is that KKL/AN both have the ability to take really bad material and make it almost compelling. KKL has actually been excellent since the reveal - instead of histrionics - by playing it absolutely cool and levelheaded has really been a refreshing change for Brooke. Otherwise, everything else is terribly subpar - even on a B&B scale.

Maybe it's me, but the character destruction of Carter is eerily similar to what happen to Maya. Both characters had been empty shells just lingering. When KM finally got a shot to be a leading lady - ironically, scheming with Rick's takeover of FC - Myron was created on the character was done.

LSV is finally gets his shot at being a leading man - surprise - trying to takeover FC - Carter has lost his moral compass, legal ethics and integrity. Seriously, after 10 years at being at FC, *now* Carter championing for the so-called Logan underdogs. Gross and a complete waste.

I can save Carter.

Brooke: 'Carter, if I really wanted FC, I know how to get it myself. The reality is that poor Widge needs to feel like an Alpha instead of a dressmaker. You know that $B/Stallion inferiority complex. If you want to know *how* I'll get FC back instantly, meet me in the steam room.'

As the *victim* of a Brooke scandal, all the above will be forgotten and Carter will go back to his office, except for B&B weddings.

LSV has been criminally underused for YEARS. His best material was the initial material with the affair with Quinn. Those two had serious chemistry. But, as the show does, they screwed it up.

The problem with this story is that it...as most stories on this show...came out of left field with no buildup. When did Carter fall for Hope actually? So many beats were skipped in the story, and now, where do they take Carter from him. A better story IMO would have been if Hope and Carter said screw FC and started their own rival fashion house. The show has been missing that aspect...of having an underdog...since the Spectras died out many years ago.

Very much so. And as proven with him with Quinn, Carter can be a leading man and LSV can play it.

But this? I agree. So many missing beats. The most glaring being he and Katie did not even break up on screen. If anything, they should have focused on Bill/Katie/Carter. Perhaps Carter seeing post-Luna, Katie's pull to Bill was just too strong and they have an amiable break up. Meanwhile, Hope is still adrift due to Thomas. A few talks like what Hope and Carter had a few months ago over being losers in love and a spark starts.

Yep. There should always be an underdog fashion house on this show.

-- Another bad thing in the Carter/Hope story is how stupid they are to think that contract -- and getting Ridge to sign it -- would be enough to take over the entire damn company. I mean, that's a joke.

-- So Il Giardino takes reservations? At lunch, no less?

After Sheila acted perplexed and lost about the reservation and Will and Electra not having one, she gave them a table not even three feet away from them. I was howling,

@Soapsuds

This begs the question: Did Carter actually file the paperwork before Justin got involved? I doubt it. The easiest short-term solution would've been for Justin to replicate the LLC filing, had Ridge and Steffy sign it/date it and file it immediately. Since Justin's new paperwork is dated later, it would provide a stronger defense that Carter's old paperwork was superseded by Justin's filing.

On the other hand, there's no drama if Carter's paperwork is invalid.

You just know they have to show Carter and Hope *playing the p*rn sax' in Ridge/Steffy office at least once!

Carter to Hope.

I love you, Hope. I really do. I am deeply in love with you.

Who talks like that? Reminds me of Taylor presenting herself on the phone as - Hello, Steffy, it's me... Taylor Hayes, your mother.

Since Bradley Bell doesn't invest even a second in this destined to be love, other than cheesy kissing and naked scenes for small ratings boosts, and we have not seen an ounce of build up to this Titanic-fast love affair... he is making the characters repeat this to ad nauseum.

Hope - I love you Carter.

Carter - I am deeply in love with you, Hope!

And the more they repeat it, the less convincing it sounds.

Clown show.

    • I feel like Vernon and Anita need to not be hypocrites and try and take the heat off Bill in this case. It's clear that the family used him as a fixer and especially knowing he helped with Martin's situation, they need to either be quiet or support him. BTW...with Vanessa being in the hospital for food poisoning, am I the only one who thought Shanice was gonna say she's pregnant or had an STD? The only reason I say STD is because she hasn't had any memorable sex partners, but I definitely don't believe she just had food poisoning.
    • Yeah, I mean I know that the name still pertains. I just laugh at it not now being called Arizona Dust, but, I admit it simply does not have the same ring to it. Above, that is interesting that Arizona had already come up before the crisis.
    • Leslie and her family are from Chicago? Anita's background also includes being a former Chi-Town native? Might they connect this and go somewhere with it?
    • Honestly who's to say Leslie even birthed Eva, I mean she's a liar, I wouldn't believe a word she says about Eva being Ted's(or hers)
    •   1. 11/1/83 cast/set list:

Please register in order to view this content

The "11/2/83" video you posted of Ruth Buzzi's scenes includes Roman and Hope in them, meaning the video you posted is actually 11/1/83, since Roman and Hope aren't in 11/2/83.   2. The video you posted of "11/2/83" has scenes with Roman and Hope. As you can see from my cast/set list, Roman and Hope are not in the 11/2/83 episode (see above note):   4573...11/2/83: Cast: Mickey, Julie, Doug, Maggie, Neil, Don, Marie, Alex, Liz, Andre as Tony, Gwen, Chris, Eugene, Sandy, Letitia, Charlene, Mrs. Whiting, Wanda/Guard, Dave, Delia, Saleslady # 1, Saleslady # 2, Figure in Dark, Raven/animal, Cats/animals, Birds/animals.   2.  11/3/83 :My video collection starts with 11/4/83. so I don't have the 11/1/83 or 11/3/83 video, but in addition to the cast/set list for 11/3/83, here is also the parking clearance call sheet for that day, showing Ruth was not only in the cast/set list but did work that day:     They even had hired the animal trainer and all the animals for the day, so It's sort of a certainty that her scenes were not cut that day, or it would have been a big waste of the budget. 3. As for 11/7/83, I just fast-forwarded through that whole episode myself. Letitia is in it from start to finish. It's her big final episode where she is killed. She starts the episode saying "Eugene, are you there?" In the next act, Marlena shows up and meets Letitia's lion. Later in the episode, Letitia is killed by "Eugene" (the Salem Slasher in a Eugene mask).   So, as we can see from your own post, the 11/2/83 date you have listed on that video is incorrect, since Hope and Roman are in that video but not in the 11/2/83 episode. It seems the dates you have on all your early November 1983 episodes are incorrect.   When you post videos and suggest that my data is incorrect, do you not first compare who is in the scenes and see if that matches who is in the episode? You didn't do that with the "11/2/83" episode, which based on Roman and Hope being in it means that is actually 11/1/83. Best to do something like that first before suggesting my data and research is incorrect.
    • Within the Dupree family, I predict Vernon/Anita will be conflicted about what to do about Bill and his role in the whole Ted/Silk Press Sheila situation... especially since Bill knows where the particular bone about Martin is buried. Dani, Chelsea, and Naomi's reactions to what Bill possibly did isn't hard to guess.. but Hayley's reactions will be interesting to hear.  Especially given her recent pregnancy scare.. she might not be so much on Bill's side, or she'll totally surprise us and be totally on Bill's side.   Either way, I think Martin's secret will be the main focus in May sweeps.. with the fall out of the Eva secret playing out in the background... while the Joey/Vanessa/Doug thing continues to boil/develop.
    • Hotel was The Love Boat on land but a little soapier. I will forever maintain that Hotel was a time slot hit. I don't believe that 1983/84 Hotel was a better show than Knots Landing.
