I cannot believe we have a paternity story playing out involving one character (Cody), that was just in one himself. I think AI would be capable of at least this level of writing, which is disgusting.

Also- much like with Jax, once you see how an actor is vibing with the character and costars, tweaks should be made. No corporate raider was ever as much of a nice guy as Jax, and that’s because they wrote to Ingo’s strengths. Gio should not be saddled with this. The actor has a light, charming touch and they should play to that. Dante, after his mother hid Sonny as his father from him should not be saddled with this. Lois would not do this to anyone. The secret of Jason’s accident coverup by Ned was one of the final nails in the coffin to their marriage.

The issues with pacing have become even worse. We just zip along. I am trying to not just rip the show apart in every post. But there is so much potential and it’s frustrating to watch.

Not just violin boy, also, wasn't he orphaned at 10? No father, at least not known, not suggesting anything unusual to his conception. Then his mother up & dies. I presume he had not grandparents or aunts or uncles who could take him in, so Sonny stepped up. It's true I can't stand the guy but he has this reputation of being the mobster with the heart of gold. I have to stop this immediately before I throw up.

Haha. Thanks!

It is good to see a lot of old AMC-ers.

Michael Knight (but I guess he's gone now?)

Alexa, Cameron, Finola, even Genie and Maurice were on AMC for a bit.

I was never a fan of Ryan on AMC, but CM seems to show some range with Drew.

Oh and JPS (Valentin) was on AMC too.

Also, forgot Eva

-- These "Propping Natalia" scenes are too much. Do these writers really think we're buying this kind of redemption? "I'm not that person any more" doesn't work for me, especially with Kristina AGAIN saying the baby felt like hers and Blaze's.

-- TJ and Curtis constantly referring to each other as "Uncle" and "Nephew" is awkward as hell.

-- SMH at Dante going to Sonny -- of all people -- for advice on how to deal with his kids.

-- And no, I don't give a rat's ass if Charlotte is returned to her mother.

They're not going to give up on trying to get us to change our opinions, feelings, etc. about Natalia. [sigh] When they dig in like this on a character, I become increasingly annoyed. And, Kristina is just letting herself be in denial because Ali told her flat-out that she was NOT prepared for them to be parents yet AT ALL.

Drove me crazy. But, then, Curtis often does. And his relationship with Jordan is inappropriate. Why wasn't he having that conversation with his wife, Portia?!!

But, about the Gio retcon, I'm actually looking forward to it. It could possibly put so many different combinations of people in soapy messy angst. I don't think anyone knows who Gio's bio-parents were except for Lois.

I'm not sure, and that just goes to today's dialogue being so awkward. There are ways to remind us they're related and how without being odd.

I'm OK with a Gio retcon since what they've done with the character so far is a big nothing. Still, attaching him to BLQ is a mess. I've grown to really dislike AS and her rules for playing Brook Lynn. I want people like her off the show.

I agree with you -- Dom is a good 45 and a really good looking guy.

    • Am I remembering correctly that the Madison's lived in a Spanish revival-style house? I have a vague recollection of the fireplace looking especially Spanish in style. It is unusual that Montecello had so many architectural styles.  Obviously, that might occur IRL.  But, look at other east coast soaps and there is a definitive style that is throughout (because it was styled by a set decorator) regardless of the income of the occupants.
    • @kalbir MSW was a powerhouse for CBS. Angela Lansbury was a superb actress. In 1985, TV viewers were tiring of the primetime soaps and the like. People wanted storytelling and MSW was great at that and had great guest stars. Storytelling -- an amazing and novel concept. CBS Daytime by 1985 was beating ABC so CBS was on the upswing.
    • I'd say just the opposite - conflict means they will find out and then be at odds. For the limited amount of time people on this show have conflict (if they aren't named Nina or Ric, I guess).
    • Totes mcgoats (aka I agree). But, now the character needs to move forward.  Clyde's exit was 12/11/24.  It is May.  She and Chad have been on one date. I don't think they've slept together. And she was only planning on sticking around for a year.
    • That is one of the best insults I've heard in a long time.  I burst out laughing when Kat called Eva that.  LOL Their scenes, of course, were really good.  Colby and Ambyr have so much chemistry.  The only thing I'd change is Kat saying "you're dead to me."  That's a phrase usually said about someone you care about.  I would've preferred something like "You will never be my sister," or something similar to that.  Nice contrast at the end with both mothers/daughters:  Kat comforting/consoling her mother, and Eva being locked out by her mother.  Yeah, I wasn't a big of fan of the singing either, especially after your daughter's life has been destroyed.  What?  LOL And I also agree with those that thought Dana/Leslie's scenes with the Dupree's didn't feel right since Eva is not a Dupree....unless she is.  But as of right now, she's not.
    • Trisha Mann-Grant, Ambyr Michelle, Sean Freeman are destined for bigger and better things. They need to move on as soon as their initial contracts are done.
    • Daphnée Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant on Instagram live, 5/5/2025 just concluded, saved here https://www.instagram.com/p/DJSsYb7PDv8/
    • I really need to see Anita in a scene that isn't with a family member. In fact, I would have preferred that she would have gotten rid of the mob and had a one on one with Leslie to lay down the law with her.  I'm going to say it, Mike Manning has been completely lifeless on this show. Other than people's superficial fondness for him, I don't get what they see in him as an actor. I never saw him on DAYS though. The show had another really strange cut right before the opening credits where it looked like they almost cut off Nicole mid-sentence.  Kat/Eva are carrying this show on their backs. Lock them in for lifetime contracts, I beg.
    • There's a 1980 scene of Victor and Katherine in the Chancellor Estate living room where they went over a contract that would put Victor in charge of Chancellor Industries, but it was rewritten that Katherine brought Victor to Genoa City so he could run Chancellor Industries.
    • Put me in the minority in being happy about Cat not being Abby. After the two adult recasts played tag with the role, it's time for a few years of rest. I have a huge list of things I hate about RC's writing, but that choice was not one of them.
