I thought that was a weird choice too.  But RC was already ripping off an old JER story with a magical flower that John found to save Roman in some jungle with Hope in 1997.   And I always thought Ron was following a bit of a throughline of Dimera's having wacky life saving plants for the sake of history. I don't think scabs were involved in the orchid story.

I don't know Ron's motivations at all, but he might be letting the audience know this is all a joke and he can make jabs at his own writing too.  Or he could just be completely unself aware and is making fun of Days/JER. Idk...it falls flat.

I’m totally here for Sophia vs Holly. Their fight today was really good, mostly because it was taken seriously and not played like some big campy joke. And that was a great slap too lol. Hopefully, this is the first of many between the two of them.

I don’t hate Holly but yeah, I am Team Sophia. I wonder if other fans feel the same way

Leo Howard still needs to work on his anger though. He didn’t seem very convincing with Holly and Sophia today, even though I’m still liking the direction that Tate and Holly’s storyline is going. But he did seem convincing with Eric Martsolf. They really do have good father-son chemistry and I’m liking Brady/Tate’s relationship. Too bad he didn’t get that chance with mother though.

I liked the Sarah/Fiona scene too but I still don’t understand what they’re having Sarah do. It’s just seems so unlike her to enable Xander the way that she’s doing. If anything, maybe she should have had a conversation about Xander with Fiona before everything happened, which could have been the thing that led Sarah to lie and send Brady up the river. I’m liking the way Eric was weaved into this as well. I just hope they remember that he’s still involved with Holly too. They seem to be stretching his character a little thin. I think it could be really interesting if Holly found out that he’s investigating Sarah. That could lead to something good happening.

Kristen is just pointless in this storyline. And so is Dr. Rolf.

The fired producer was verbally abusive to her.

    • Dana has proven to be beyond unhinged from day one.
    • I'm just guessing, but Eva has to be Nicole's daughter. I don't see Nicole forgiving Eva for her betrayal. Unless she winds up being her daughter.
    • I did not recall how contentious the interview turned out to be until I re-read it.  In retrospect, good on both of them for allowing it to be published, it is remarkable to read this type of honesty in a soap magazine. http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/chat85.html
    • Today's show was boring, which means it will score high in the ratings.

    • Correct. And she left Eva alone and vulnerable just like she was 20 plus years ago.
    • Leslie feels betrayed by Eva for choosing Ted and Nicole, with her actions at the party calling her crazy and trying to stop Leslie from exposing Ted.
    • I kinda think that's the point, Leslie isn't logical; she is very unhinged. She's probably mad at Eva turning on her in front of the Duprees. They need each other but I do want to see Eva form a family unit away from Leslie.
    • IDA. I felt this was his best episode and the actor sold it for me especially bc Martin has been so stoic and not very expressive with his emotions. The actor's weakness actually became a strength here bc I felt he really came alive and I bought his rage towards Leslie and later and later vulnerability he exposed to Smitty. He's growing and while I had reservations at first, I think they should keep him. He's done well with this reveal
    • The soapy convention that amused me today was the amount of stuff that soap characters get done on their way to work. I drink a glass of iced coffee, take a handful of pills, read @AbcNbc247 morning summary, and I am out the door.  Marlena got on a full beat of makeup, and her Monday blazer.  Then she visited with Johnny at the Salem Inn, EJ at the mansion, and checked in with Cat, all before reading her emails.  It is just remarkable how much people can do when they never have to go to the bathroom! Marlena's vibe with Cat was weird, considering she hired Cat as an assistant.  She seemed a little suss today. Meanwhile, with all of these new interactions, I want a scene between Chad and Marlena when they discuss blazers.  I think Chad's more unconstructed, knit jackets would suit Marlena (no pun intended).
