I would go so far as to say Jason and Sam had their LAST scene a few weeks ago when they were alone in the hospital talking after Jason/Anna brought Lucky back. Because that scene oozed with finality. Which is why I said above that someone's bias is showing. 

 

It is more or less common knowledge now that Sam is leaving. And usually when a character leaves that has been on for years/decades, writers usually would be playing the beats of said leave by having her interact with all the people that matter to the character. While I'm more a fan of KM than of Sam, even I can say WTF IS THIS? Because they are clearly playing the story beats of Lulu's storyline alongside Sam's farewell, but yet why does it feel like Sam's leaving is being played in a vacuum? Why are the scenes so scattered? Why is there really very little POV from Sam versus playing a plot beat? That's why I said is it just the writing or a bias being shown?  

 

I could say the writing due to what I mentioned about Spin because people were up in arms he had no scene with her before yesterday? But the writers played that beat. So...what is going on? 

 

I don't miss those days, either, but there seems to be some disrespect there.

It's really sad that the show and Monaco couldn't put that BTS stuff away for her final few weeks.

I won't miss KM for her acting, but I will -- as I always do -- miss her because she's been on the show for more than 20 years. I love characters who stick around with the same actor.

Frank's unhappiness with KM is written all over these scenes,almost as if he gave writers a directive to screw her over. And Kelly, instead of giving her fans even more reason to be sad and to miss her, decided to go to the phone bank...again. The whole thing is sad.

I won't miss her or Sam at all.  I just feel for the fans.  It's clear Frank is happy to be rid of her and that's fine.  It stinks KeMo has no desire to give it all for her fans, but I'd be bitter if I was her too.  Even though Sam has been irrelevant for years, I am sure Kelly thought her job was secure for as long as she wanted it.  There have been rumors KeMo wasn't the easiest person to deal with on set and now it's coming through in her acting.  Hartley would have given her all, but I am sure fans want to see Kelly.  I wonder if anyone gave a thought to having LH end this story though.

I admit...given how LH kept popping in with very little announcement (yes, I saw she filmed that when she filmed her other fill-in) or reason (since KM WAS available to film from what was announced), I was wondering if this was going to be another Marcus Coloma situation where someone came in to finish the story as well.

You don't think GH could have used LH just to end Sam's story?  It was clear KeMo was available, but maybe not in the best space-and it doesn't seem she's in a great place now either.  I really just want the Kelly tell all book lol.

They could have but it'd have the same reaction of having Adam Huss being at the end of Nikolas' storyline, except, Nikolas was given the right to live.

Not for nothing, but can’t the local mob boss just have Heather killed? 

I still don’t like this Heather storyline but I appreciate what this current arc could lead to; like Dex and Molly, for example 😂😂

It’s not as good of a catalyst as Michael lying to Willow about Sonny but it still could lead to good drama and storylines. 

And of course, the whore would get turned on by news of Heather 🖕

It would be a disservice to KeMo/Sam fans to just cut her out, but I at least think Hartley would have shown up and played the drama for all its worth.

Yes but, by that point, Sam's role was already reduced if we're to believe Kelly Monaco and company that her role was reduced. So, I doubt recasting would have changed that, ultimately.

And I just said the same about LH. Every time she has shown up, she has played it to perfection and yes, she would have been playing it to the hilt even now. 

My long-term hatred for Sam as one of the earlier Brendabots colors my opinion of the entire character.  Sam has moved on and is her own character now, but someone on soaps needs to just hire LH full time.  She just has a presence and likeability and KeMo has basically sleep walked through her performance for at least 15 years.
