I love it. Sonny SHOULD have someone go this hard after him. He’s been basically unchecked for over 20 years minus very brief moments and he always came out on top anyway. And Kristina isn’t the helpless wilting flower Alexis and Sonny want to portray her as.

The thing is Jagger's not going hard on Sonny.  He's going hard in on Kristina.  I don't think Kristina is a wilting flower and I don't think Jagger is wrong for wanting to bring Sonny down.  I am admittedly still a Sonny fan, but I wish Jagger would just go about getting Sonny arrested in the proper way.

Okay, that was pretty good. And oh, look!! The return of the Friday cliffhanger! Quite a few. lol.

Mmmm Brennan in a suit...how Beast of them. lol. I enjoyed his interacting with Laura. And it did not grrr as much with him and Anna.

It continues to be a testament to PM's work on doing an organic connection between Cody and James as well as doing the reveal of Cody's being Mac's son...and thus more reason to care about him...that the James Running Away storyline had me surprisingly invested. I loved everyone involved from Maxie, Spin, Felicia (good on her for calling Mac out), Mac, and even Sasha. And wow...the deliciously soapy tea of James also now knowing about Willow/Drew...my interest in that story angle is also piqued. And finally...Mac acknowledging Cody as his son FINALLY. A nice somewhat tidy end to that arc.

Now...the Three Stooges...I mean, Scotty, Wagger, and Ava...just ugh at the woulda coulda shoulda. Though it already is apparent that Wagger will be Ava's way of wiggling out of things. Though Jason now knowing she knew ahead of time might play a role later. And THANK GOD, that pharmacist said aloud that it was Val who did Sonny's meds in...and another dangling plot thread tied up. And also at least Jason knows Ava WAS NOT behind it. That said...

Wagger using the angle of the pictures defense on Kristina. My only regret is that Ava herself did not think of it first. But again...we have to pull her out of femme fatale mode le sigh. But I know Maury West will play it to the hilt as a victim so I can't wait for it. And it now becomes REALLY personal for Sonny. So I am actually excited.

I continue to enjoy the growing rift between TJ and Molly. TJ is fed the frak up, and it's shocking to see. Not shocking to see Stella and Curtis. I had almost forgot about him. lol. And I will take Alexis any way I can get her. And I love that she already can sense that Kristina asked Sonny to take Ava out.

RME at the propping of Natalia. But good to see Lucy. And Tracy was reading people down so I love it. Still annoyed at the 180 on BrookLynn.

A kiss secret.

A mastermind reveal.

A false arrest.

Yep. That's a lot of cliffhangers for a Friday.

I like it because it just makes Sonny angrier that Jagger is willing to hurt his daughter just to get to him. Jagger is going to lose and either die or be shipped out of town. I’m going to enjoy someone not treating Sonny like a hero as long as I can.

I loved Jagger vs Kristina today. Him charging her for baby Irene’s murder and the way she went from weeping and begging him to let her go whenever she had a familiar audience to then calling him a son of a bitch and saying he won’t use her to go after Sonny as soon as Dex and Alexis weren’t around was good stuff. Kate Mansi played that little flip switch well, I’m pulling for Kristina to go full out Cassadine/Corinthos.

Carly and Sonny on good terms does nothing for me, I hate how they’ve wrapped up the beef with the toxic trio with this med switch reveal.

Carly vs Dante on the other hand was a fun revisit. That’s still one of my favorite Carly storylines with LW in the role and DZ is doing a great job playing Dante letting his guilt for leaving Lulu when he did cause him to lash out.

Drew’s lack of subtlety when it comes to creeping on Willow is hilarious. Shouting your nephews wife out like that during a campaign speech should have brought more suspicious eyeballs lol and Michael’s doofus self just cheesing away, almost feel bad for the guy. Drew using the Senators sudden death to get Willow alone was pretty shameless too.

Curtis and Portia are a complete snoozefest of a pair. Portia further researching Ric did pique my interest though, I’m hoping Ric taking Heather’s case is leading to him boinking Portia so Brooke Kerr has something more interesting to do.

Violet, Chase and Brook Lynn also put me to sleep but I’m curious if they really are hinting at Brook Lynn already having a kid offscreen and it potentially being Gio.

Holy cow, I COMPLETELY forgot Kristina is also a Cassadine through Alexis. Her tapping into both the Cassadine/Corinthos in her could really turn her into hell on wheels and I think I would like to see that.

Drew is so slimy I love it. I could not believe he had the nerve to shout out Willow first and then threw Michael a bone. And of course he needed to process his feelings about the senator privately with Willow

Both Anna & Laura have totally changed their tunes with Sonny. PM did that. He made that change in both of them & so far at least there's been no reversal. I dread that they could do a 180 with either one of them.

I see this in what I dream is going to be Krazy Kristina!

I hated this.

GMAB! The guy is way too obvious. People are soon going to notice. And why did they kill off old guy politician? I don't get that.

    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.

    • I started a separate thread for the same tribute, but of course it can be discussed wherever. doesn't matter where. Fyi  Jason Cook, Staci Greason, and Eileen Davidson will be there as well as Reckell and some of the current cast Thread for Live tribute to Drake https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/68987-days-currentformer-actors-live-video-tribute-for-drake-hogestyn
    • Seeing Nicole and Martin together reminds me of watching Alice with Mickey Horton in the 90s and 00s. The seem more like peers than mother and son.  The younger half of the cast (35ish and below) is playing younger, and the older half (35+) is playing older.
