GH: August 2024 Discussion Thread

After the entire Days episode today being a bunch of the same type of humor I had reached my limit.  I am probably just traumatized from that.  

I believe it's been mentioned more than once Miguel is super famous.  I think at some point Lois was still even his manager.   Sometimes just because you can easily google history of the show doesn't make it a right choice.  Lol!

There were times in the past I legitimately thought the show should reach out to do a Nurse's Ball cameo or something.  I am not a complete hater.

But seriously, I can see that. I had always hoped with the Nurses' Ball that he might have come back as well. And I would think Ricky would do it. But given who was writing when it came back...yeeeah probably not.

I actually think if Wendy Riche asked Ricky to do a cameo he would have-even at near peak fame.   If I recall, she was very accommodating to him and let him out of his contract early so he could star on Les Mis or something on Broadway.  But that ship sailed years ago lol.

Well, I had to bite this bullet some time. So now was a good time.

 

Can we keep that Asian doctor? Too little, too late probably. In any case, I liked all the scenes surrounding Kristina, Molly, and TJ finding out about the loss of the baby. And ooooh, yes. Little Miss Molly was selling that. My favorite moment was her 'I know who's responsible' and her look at Sonny. Chills. It was all in the inflection. And her getting in Sonny's face again was good. And TJ holding her as they came together in their grief. 

 

And I liked TJ being able to express his point of view. Such a human reaction. In fact, I felt that everyone was actually reacting outside of MB. 

 

I think we all know how I feel about Ava so I was like ugh during her scenes at the police station. Just listening to that dialogue made me want to glare at the screen. Just the fact that over the last few months, Ava has spun BETTER webs when she lied.  I was very happy to see that the Ava/Trina friendship was touched on and thank you for the heads-up @AbcNbc247. I really enjoyed those scenes though they were VERY abrupt to how Trina was acting toward her with looks during Kristina's fall. 

 

Those Natalia/Blaze scenes...so basically back to Square One with them then. 

 

This Sonny montage...I am not sure how I feel about them. I have a strong idea of what they are setting up for. But that said...knowing what's coming at the end of the week, it seem like a 'let's say good-bye to PM writing' to me because those scenes were setting up so much great stuff for Sonny (like Anna declaring war) and now alas...

 

 

Hehe. Will do at some point.

i don't think that Blaze is leaving. She will stick with Kristina even if it means tanking her music career.

I am happy that Willow is going back to nursing. Drew wants to sleep with Willow but she is resisting.

The next development should be Joss going back to pre-med.

Brennan setting up his station in Port Charles means that he is staying on the show as a contract player.

Natalia will remain on the show until she has slept with Sonny.

This had been stricken completely from my memory, and I just had to look at it.

I wouldn’t mind a Miguel mention if the show didn’t dip into that well too much already. You know- Jagger being back in name only and his reasons for hating Sonny, Jason living at Bobbie’s, Luke’s dead but Geary won’t be playing a part, the poorly executed return of Jeff Webber, Jackie Templeton. The list goes on and on, and it has all amounted to bad fanservice.

I saw some rumblings online, please tell me Frank isn’t getting rid of Blaze (sending her on tour), but keeping the mom? I am not even enjoying their story, but if they keep the bigot and dump the Lesbian? No.

Sorry!  It's so hilarious though!  I think because I love Claire's work so much I forget there were a few clunker stories and A LOT of Ricky Martin singing.

I don't mind a mention, I suppose.  It's just a cheap mention as you said.  I guess Miguel and Jagger would have something in common if he ever came to town.  Two obscure characters from the 90's that really, really hate Sonny.

Brook Lynn is telling Ali that she must do this tour. Natalia is telling her the same. Even Kristina has said so. In the previews for today, we see Ali saying to someone, "You're fired!" I think that is Natalia & I also think it's a sign that she is simply refusing at this time when she strongly feels that Kristina needs her, to go to Japan to start a long tour. Maybe Ali is finally going to find her own courage & maybe some stubbornness. We do know that they are not breaking up.

Oh, #Teriah & #Kraze. I think it's just a coincidence that Tessa & Ali are both singers. BTW, did you notice yesterday that Kristina did not call Ali by her given name, calling her Blaze, her stage name, which she almost never does. I suspect Kristina is going tell Ali that she has nothing to give her, that she is emotionally unavailable. It's gonna be up to Ali to stick it out.
