Eric and Nicole are ho-hum at this time to me because

1) We've seen it all before -- too many times and in too short a time span. Make up, break up, rinse and repeat.

2) We know they're leaving -- and there's little reason to get invested in them.

They were supercouple material, and they were ruined.

It just feels different this time for Eric/Nicole, especially now that they have Jude.

And now that they’re older and have been through so many struggles, maybe they finally could have that conversation about why they keep making the same mistakes

And promising that they’ll do better, as part of their reunion.

Plus, I know it’s not happening, but I would still love for Holly to find out the truth about her father’s death and let that have to be the next obstacle that Ericole has to overcome.

That could also lead to good conflict for Tate/Holly as well.

Agreed.

I appreciated that we went back to the original dynamic between Tate and Holly.  He's much more cautious about sex than she appears to be.  I like the idea that, like many adolescents, he's much more scared about intimacy and risky behaviors than he's willing to admit.  And at least we know that there won't be another teen pregnancy coming out of this story.

In fact, with Theresa already asking for him to go to the wedding (he only left yesterday), it seems like they've exhausted all the board games in the cabin and will be heading home soon.

Although, in Salem, we never know how much time has passed.  Just yesterday, Sweet Bits was up for lease, and today it is back in business making multiple wedding cakes (that we'll never see, nor will anyone ever eat).

And what's with Johnny and Holly being so instantly forgiving of EJ?  And wasn't there a scene where Sarah was sending out invitations?  Did she neglect to invite Brady?  I know he wasn't aware that it was a double ceremony, but he seemed clueless about the weddings in general.

I really enjoyed today's episode.

I'm a newer viewer since 2010 but watched on occasion back in the day.

Tate and Holly getaway is stupid. I expected better. They are hiding in the cabin playing board games?

Yes, Johnny was sure angry at Daddy. Carson Boatman can't act!

The Nicole/EJ/Eric scenes were great!

Bring on the threesome!!

Not that threesome!!

I actually wouldn’t mind a storyline like that.

Let their own feelings, worries, fears, etc. be the main things that drive them apart for a little while instead of some sinister outside force like Theresa or Sophia.

Sophia could actually use those problems in order to manipulate the situation.

Today's episode Leo and Bonnie stuff together was not needed and Bonnie thought it was Sarah who threw the invitation in the trash about Xander mom so that should give them a clue it was Theresa

Enjoyed Xarah scenes together alone but that was it for this episode

Team Sophia!

And Team Justin too!

Tate and Holly do kinda deserve it for what they did to her at prom, even though her blackmail scheme is a little stupid. Hopefully, she’s written well and becomes an actual spoiler for Tate/Holly. If she’s gonna be the new Jan, I’d rather she be Teen Mean Girl Jan instead of Psycho Jan.

As for Justin, I’m so glad that he finally lost his s*it with Alex today and let him know how he was feeling. That part of the storyline really needed to be played more, a lot more than Alex’s thing with Kristen and Theresa should have. We should have seen Justin talking about the way he was feeling about all this a lot more. With Bonnie, or Maggie or Sonny. Anyone.

I liked the Brady/Theresa scenes too. They almost seemed like closure for the two of them, which also does kinda suck but I thought that they both did a good job. Hopefully, Theresa sticks around once all the secrets come out. There’s still so much that can be done with her.
