You are right TL...I forgot about Alice...the mud wrestling maid. Calling Tracy the trash. I want the TMK to get her, Monica and Edward and Lulu.

They keep saying the TMK is someone from the show from the past. Speculation is Manny Ruiz/Alcazar/Diego. Someone even speculated Dillon. As if right...Dillon would kill Emily, Leticia, Georgie, and try for Maxie, Carly and Alexis and Sam???? You know what...I don't really even care who the TMK is.

It is funny on all the boards, nobody really mentioned Luke/Tracy break up as a big deal today. I think they were thinking it was just comedy with her pushing him down.

Why can't Luke work his freakin casino? He's gotta be asking sonny for a job?

Sheesh, this show sooooo sucks. Tracy is not going to take him back I don't think. He's just being a bigger ass than ever!

There are two threads started by me and hooked at soc - they need some posts :). At least spread the Tracy love if not the LuNacy love. ;)

Go Tracy! But We Still Want You With Luke

What Did You All Think of The Luke/Tracy "Breakup"?

I think it's kind of odd that no one is really posting to these threads. I haven't decided if it's because no one cares or because no one took them seriously.

Don't hold back, Lainey. Tell us how you really feel.

Luke did play the ring thing for laughs. I'm going to choose to believe it was more incredulity. I hope they are on today, but with the S/C all day sex and Sam's hit-and-run, I don't know. To be a little fair to Luke (not much, by any stretch of the imagination), Tracy is knows for her Diva moments and grand standing. He was not prepared for her reception yesterday, and she didn't give it to him straight. He probably heard the whole bit about their wedding and his dalliances and thought "great, and we're back to that again..." I hope reality dawns on the boy soon.

Hooked, if you look earlier in the episode when Luke is taking off his coat, you can see the ring pretty clearly as the light hits it. Funny is right, it is there.

Going to Sonny for a job... you know there's more to it than that. In Sonny's world a "job" isn't necessarily a job, if you know what I mean. And Luke can't get the HS opened again. Tracy owns it and the money needed to get it going is frozen at the moment.

They were all dumping on Tracy yesterday - Edward, Monica and Alice. If JE's contract was up, I wouldn't expect a backlash. However her contract is fine and Tracy isn't leaving this time. I think there is going to be a huge comeuppance and I hope I'm front row centre when Tracy "takes out the trash".

All said and done, though, what the Q's did in hate, and the Spencer's did in ignorance was just plain mean. Where is the support for the woman who has bent over backwards for all of them? I'm so tired of this belief that Tracy's strong and she can take everything. I hope we see one scene where she acts strong then when she thinks no one is looking, she breaks down and Luke is there to witness it and comfort her.

Maybe the "break up" was rushed because it wasn't real? I mean, it's real because it happened, but do we believe it's going to last? I don't think GH would end an almost 3 year relationship with just a couple of snarky lines and the wacky-hijink music. It's probably just a bump in the road, as I've seen mentioned here and other places.

This was also mentioned here, but SID (was it?) got the Lulu thing ALL WRONG. She definitely did not join Tracy in moving out as a show of solidarity. It was all about what Luke was going to do...Granted, it's a good thing she cares about her Dad, but hey, can she care about her stepmom too?

We know Monica is on today, right? I wonder if she's on at the Q's ('cause then there's a chance LuNacy will be on) or if she's on at the hospital...Or who knows, she might end up at Jake's! Or Metro Court... Anyway, since Tracy walked out on Luke yesterday, maybe they have a day or so without being onscreen and he finds her next week and starts trying to win her back.

Well...I had my doctor's appointment scheduled for this morning and it was my first visit to my new PCP.

I like her so far....better than my last one, this new one, she's like, "well you have this and this and that means this" and it's such a foreign feeling for the doctor to address things right off the bat like that for me, so I was kind of stunned into silence. LOL

But she didn't do a mammo...I asked about one and she said, "well you're still really too young for that" and she did the manual exam on my breasts and said she didn't feel anything but she might order a mammo anyway since I was having the pains above my breasts...

I was kinda looking forward to having one just for the experience. A little twisted and weird, I know. B)

I haven't watched Monday, or Tuesday yet, but I watched nex's clip from yesterday and I have to say, I was a little disappointed in their "reunion." I love Jane but I thought she played it a little too one note mean, I thought there would at least be a glimmer of pain there. Could be that we'll get it today or next week I guess.....

I'm in the "angst is okay because it's necessary on a soap" camp, but I don't think their angst should be ordinary, since they as a couple are not ordinary. I have to be honest, I love soft Tracy, but I don't ever want to see her be a marshmallow again, not over Luke or anyone else. Soft, yes, when it's called for, but I loved how she stood up for herself yesterday. I don't want that to ever end. TakeChargeTracy ROCKS !

I'm lovin' the TG/JE vibe. I looooved how Luke was all "you look GOOD" (and just me or was that also TG saying it? ) she really DOES look good. Luke is an idiot.

*kicks Luke in the kneecaps and runs off*

Hey Lainey...I know you said it is against your personal code...but instead of just being pissed off...do something about it...write a letter or make a call to the comment line...they don't have caller ID (LOL). At least we can feel we tried to do something about it.

Everyone on this other board is like there is no way they are not going to wring some more comedy, heartfelt moments out of Lunacy. That was the plot point. It was so contrived that break up...there is more to come!!!! Don't lose the faith guys!!!

Okay guys...

Just talked to "Chat up" the legit insider....she said the same thing as the Pitching Anon insider said about the end outcome up in the air, but lots of Lunacy story left to tell....it is up to fan reaction.

Here is our conversation...

Biting my lip not to ask......but luke/tracy break up yesterday...not really for good breakup right....it was way too contrived...dramatic...no way they are not going to try to squeeze some comedic stuff out of this....right?

Her answer:

Hee! It's not over - there's supposed to be lots of story left to tell but the end result of the story, I've been told is up in the air. So keep calling and writing (writing is better)

Edit

Come on guys...it is up to us...fight for the Lunacy! I will pay for the postage! I will repost addresses...trying to ask her who the best people to write to are again:

Up in the air? I don't like the sound of that.

I think the LuNacy fanbase is pretty quiet. We're not some huge organized group. I'll send some letters, but I really don't think 10 letters tops, maybe, is going to make a huge difference. :(

hooked, I see you're online. Breakroom?

    • When you look at the period between Sweeps, it's as if they tried to maintain a kind of pace where they had a lot of plates spinning in the air & on their fingertips & the whole goal was nothing but to not drop any of those plates. A version of spinning one's wheels. They're not getting anywhere but they give the appearance of a whole lot of activity. I believe it's all about this appearance. At moments they accidentally hit a chord & something resonates but it is a false event.

    • I’m not speculating anything, but I admit, I’m getting a little worried about James Reynolds.
    • I feel like this is what they're doing by creating lots of storylines but their biggest weakness for years is the inability to properly pace these stories and give resolution. A good example now would be the Gio story which has been simmering for months with very little movement. I went from not caring to being invested to not caring again because of how long it's taking for the secret to be revealed. One story like that would be fine but it seems like everything moves at this snails pace on GH. They need to do a better job of rotating the stories so everything isn't in that same treading water phase.
    • However, those of us who watch DAYS have been spoiled. On Peacock there are no preemptions. Not for anything & not in or about any show.  I read somewhere that we Baby Boomers in a way invented instant gratification but then we realized that it was not fast enough.

    • I read an interview with Lenore Kasdorf and she had said was asked back to GL in 1987 but she turned it down but she said now with Michael (Roger) and Maureen (Holly) back, she would be more interested in returning. This had to be around 1989 and I think in SOD (more of a where are they now? type of article)
    • Beyond what was listed, I think there are a few other moments early on - Nixon tested the waters of having a black female character in a larger supporting part on AW, helping to pave the way for Carla and Sadie on OLTL. Rachel/Ada is in some ways a template for Carla/Sadie, although Carla was much more tormented and her scheming was from preservation.  Jordan Charney eventually arrived at OLTL after his AW success, although that was not duplicated. Doris Belack's success was, several times over.
    • Jonathan Kellerman has written 40 novels centered on the character of Alex Delaware, with the first being When the Bough Breaks from 1985. One of the aspects of the series which I find so appealing is that characters grow, evolve and change as time goes on. They act and react in a believable, human fashion. While each book tells one complete story, certain relationship threads can continue as the series evolves. Occasional references to the past (from previous novels) also make the readers feel like we know the characters intimately; that we are "living" with them through the years. Actor John Rubenstein (of the 1970s' TV series Family) narrates the audiobooks, and he is perfectly cast. I've never read or listened to an Alex Delaware story which I did not enjoy.
