Am I the only one who thinks Finn got ripped off when he ordered two handles of vodka and got two fifths instead?

I have been moving and haven't watched a ton, but is there a reason Sonny is so mad at Ava?  I hate to be that person asking stupid questions, but I thought they were okay?   Did I miss some big fallout?

Because she is the one who helped Alexis get disbarred.

Thank you!  I did hear him say that.  I just wasn't sure if that was the entirety of the issue.

And then he brought up Ava killing Connie.

Yeah, but I assumed he got over that and forgave.  And then was throwing it in her face again.  Not that she ever should have been forgiven, nor should Sonny be forgiven for AJ, but I wasn't sure if this was a more 'manic' Sonny episode or based on fact.  I hope that makes sense lol.  I was wondering if Sonny's behavior just wildly escalated because he likes Natalia and was off his meds or if he actually was acting "normal" because there was a fallout.

Again, pretty sure that was all the meds talking... bringing up Connie's murder, throwing Morgan's death in her face, the mention (non-named) of Olivia Jerome.

The return of Jonathan Jackson is exactly the boost that this show needs. His return should be followed by Lulu waking up. I have a lot more enthusiasm for Lucky than I had for Jason's return.

The night before Sonny made an Italian feast for Natalia, Ali & Kristina. They were eating & being convivial when Ava came in. She totally failed to read the room & greeted them & said some small talk & then stated that she was a "bit peckish" & would get a chair & join them. Kristina said, "No." Then she stood & said that there was no way she would share a meal with the woman who stabbed her mother in the back. Sonny asked to be filled in. Ava said she'd give him the non-bias version later & left. Kristina explained about Ava signing the affidavit that was the basis of the charge of perjury that caused her to be disbarred. Krissy apologized for ruining their meal. Sonny said nothing to apologize for. Natalia lauded her for taking up for her mother. Sonny did not like the fact that Ava was a snitch, basically.

Sonny would not care that much about the disbarment lol. It's obviously just Korte, etc. doing a 180 on the Ava story. Like a lot of the recent shift in the writing for him back to sympathetic.

Well, I think a case can be made that at this particular moment in time what Sonny cares about is pleasing Kristina.

Are we supposed to be on Brook Lyn and Chase’s side? Because all this story is doing is making me feel bad for Finn. Gregory has been dead what? 3 weeks? They’re filing restraining orders and custody agreements because the man is grieving. Yes the day he cut himself and passed out was bad but this still feels SO excessive. Maybe I’m alone in this.

We are supposed to be on the side that gets Finn into rehab & Vile-Ette into safe quarters. No one is doing what they are doing because he is grieving. They are doing it because he is quite obviously an alcoholic who is in the grips of a downward spiral. He's doing what in AA speak is called "stinkin' thinking". You notice how loud, angry & mean he is? How he is saying awful things to just about everyone. Plus, he quit his job.

I can't say I have followed everything, but it seemed quite sudden that Ava was the only person Sonny could trust a month ago and now he is kicking her out immediately.  The disbarment seems minor and the other stuff he brought up he has known about for years lol.  It feels like a very intentional shift.  It seems the show has dropped the Ava/Sonny 'romance' for Sonny/Natalia.

I can see the argument that Brook/Chase moved a bit too quickly with restraining orders and custody agreements.  Not because I feel sorry for Finn or because he's grieving.  I do think a real intervention could have been staged laying out the consequences giving Finn the option to go to rehab before this escalated this far.  I know Tracy tried, but it may have been more impactful if Brook, Chase, Liz, Alexis, Tracy, etc all came to him and said rehab or we take Violet.

Totally agree. It was a kind of whiplash moment.

They really should have done that Intervention.

Did you notice all the new pictures in the opening? For the first time Tracy & Kristina were included. Others with new updated photos include: Sonny, Michael, Curtis, Anna, Sasha, Cody, Diane, T.J., Carly, Dex & Chase.

I mean, considering everything Ava has done previously and the fact the Alexis got her life back on track it seems like an extreme overreaction on Sonny's part.  In fact, Ava even had a semi-legit reason for doing it.  It just seems like a complete backtrack on the more interesting story.

I just think all the papers could have been drawn up, shown to Finn, and then the option of rehab be presented again.  Now Finn basically is going to spiral because Violet is already gone.

I wonder if MB pushed to work with ELR more and that shifted things a bit. Similar to his push to work with CW prior.

I 100% believe he did lol.  There is really no other reason they would be interacting so much.  Natalia's barely more than a caricature of a human.
