Late obviously, but I'm with @dc11786 from last month - I think Mulcahey has been playing with something with Cody and Tracy since the beginning. Her name-checking him as a young Gregory in her mind is far too deliberate, and there was a lot of very ambiguous, suggestive stuff between them before that too since March or so. Wouldn't shock me if some kind of May/December romance there had been the endgame and got shunted off (just like the hints of Finn/Tracy back in the day when he first debuted, and it was and remains his most exciting relationship).

Stay tuned for more late dispatches from me you didn't ask for!

I thought they were referring to Curtis as well.  Makes you wonder how Curtis got through his gunshot wound and paralysis without any narcotic pain pills though.

I think Cody and Tracy would be fun.  The man deserves fun after dealing with his non-romance with Sasha for nearly a year.

Lol!  I should have known.  All Curtis needed was some aspirin and a dream of walking toward Laura once more.

I seriously don't understand Finn/Liz's relationship.  It's clear Finn can't casually drink like Curtis, but at the same time Finn just slipped up and doesn't appear to want to make a habit of it so I don't know why anyone is still talking about it.  I know it's leading somewhere but everyone is acting like Finn full on relapsed instead of just having a few drinks after his father died.

Remember, this is the same GH that said Nina was wrong for turning Drew and Carly into the SEC, even though Drew and Carly were the actual criminals.

Meanwhile, it would have taken me a lot to buy Cody and Tracy as a romantic or sexual pairing.  And I mean a lot.

I can buy it. They have chemistry together and I liked those curious early scenes with them. It wouldn't be the first (or last) young stud with an older grande dame on soaps.

Also, I still don't like how they've dressed up Spinelli's 'apartment' as one studio storage closet tricked out like an alcove in a Dave & Buster's. Where is the living room? Where is the kitchen? He hosts his child here, right?

I get it. It's not supposed to make sense lol.  At the end of the day Finn knows he messed with his sobriety, but it didn't really affect anything.  Violet's fine, he didn't drive, he wasn't hammered on the job, he just had a few glasses of whiskey that he was stupidly keeping in his house for whatever reason and moped around for a night.

I think Cody flirts with Tracy quite a bit.  I do think that's just Cody's personality, but I could honestly see him liking Tracy and her uppity, rich life.  It could start as a con to get money and move into real feelings.

I still think it's Spinelli's office not his actual apartment.  Georgie said she had a room there in the past and unless she sleeps under the desk that's not possible.

I'm almost scared to see the rest of Spinelli's digs.  You know that's a child protective services call waiting to happen.

Let's put it this way: if it weren't bland, unappealing Josh Kelly playing Cody, I'd be more into him and Tracy as a pairing.

Well, we know she ain't sleepin' in his gaming chair.  That's off limits to everyone who comes to Spinelli's.

It was one sip of champagne not an entire glass and he didn't drink the full bottle of bourbon/whiskey.  It's serious to Finn and I do get that, but it literally affected nothing on the show.  Liz was mad for about a day.

I know I am way overthinking Spinelli's living arrangements, but I always thought either the office had a separate entrance or that he had an office in the same building as his actual apartment.

Liz owned being mad. He was appalling toward her! You notice he was not abusive toward Chase but he was to Liz.

I could have sworn he tossed back the entire glass of champagne & also that he finished off the bottle that he had been given as a gift. It is worth noting that if not for its being a wedding gift that bottle would not have been there. He would not have gone out & bought one.

I don't think that was that kind of thing at all. At any rate that one scene with Finn would do nothing to placate dissatisfied fans of Becky.

I've sat in on twiX Spaces held by either Becky stans or Liaison fans & we know they are crazy but more what they would settle for is interesting. However, it's not odd awkward scenes with Michael Easton.

It's cute how we're calling his gaming chair and Playstation his office.  Just as it's cute how we're pretending he really isn't living in his mom's basement.

ICYMI: I [!@#$%^&*] hate Spinelli.

    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
    • The Bell soaps, B&B and Y&R: cannot watch. If I went by the last time I did I would have to give them both D- but I really don't think it counts when you're not a daily watcher.  DAYS: B+ (Now this is with the knowledge that for years I have given this show a D- because I've been a fan for too long to give it the F it deserved.) GH: A+ (With Korte driving this bus to me the show is so much better! IMO we just had the best NB in so many years I cannot count!) BTG: A solid (Things I love, a few I do not, nothing I hate, still find it in general remarkable.) As always, thanks for doing this thread. I count it. I always look for it & I always post.
    • Okay, I continue to maintain that what is so good about this particular reveal followed by umbrella storyline is that you can see & understand many different points of view where there is not one bad guy or one 100% right person.  About your stated opinion, that Lois & Gloria did the right thing, you know that this was technically an illegal adoption? For it to have been legal the father, if known, would have to have been informed & have signed off on terminating his own paternal rights. And, of course, it is clear how many people they lied to.  Personally I feel like Lois is going to take the biggest "public" blame with Lulu a close second in the blame category. I am looking forward to a tongue lashing I hope Brook Lynn gives to Gloria. I continue to be more than annoyed with Dante. First his attitude toward Gio with regards to Rocco & a drinking game & its results. Second his attitude toward Lulu. Meanwhile enjoying the show every day!
    • Lois and Gloria did the right thing I feel knowing it was Camila that raised Gio has BL feeling some jealousy No one is saying that Camila was a bad mother to Gio I believe it will be Gio saying that Camila was great to him, thanking Lois and Gloria to get BL to see truth
