Agree.

I looked up some of the Y&R and B&B scenes in that combined promo with BTG.  WHY would they use mostly bad scenes from the past year? Nothing that interesting.  I mean Hope/Carter is sort of interesting. But Billy/Sally? Nope.  Kyle/Claire? Dull.   Steffy in Luna's cage was a terrible storyline.    And Diane's excitement about yet another business line - really?

I guess they picked the Ridge/Taylor clip to maybe attract AMC Zach/Greenlee fans?  Because otherwise, why pick that scene?
Edit, it's from Dec. 23, 2024 when Ridge is about to romance Taylor in the bedroom, and they hold up drinks .... but the rest of the scene is that he spills a drink on Taylor's shirt, and they stop, and Taylor changes into an extra shirt of Ridge's; at which point Brooke arrives and makes assumptions.

It's like the staff of Y&R and B&B just randomly grabbed some stuff to include, without having any idea if it's compelling.

RE: The Price is Right vs. The Talk ratings.

Finally got the actual viewership numbers (rare these days!) for the game show's repeats, albeit for a single week. Again, "The Talk" was a failure in comparison. Not just with its 15th and final season, but also Season 14 and likely Season 13 and Season 12. Overall, that talk show hadn't seen Total Viewer numbers like the encore broadcasts of TPIR received last week since at least 2021 or 2022, and in many cases since 2020. What a waste.

RATINGS: Encores of ‘The Price is Right’ Top Final Season of ‘The Talk,’ ‘The View’ Sustains Lead Among Network News & Talk Shows

Encore broadcasts of "The Price is Right" top original episodes of "The Talk" (Season 15) among Total Viewers. Meanwhile, "The View" remains a big winner in daytime.

I don't think that All-shows trailer tarnishes anything. All of the shows air on CBS, it's meant to happen. I actually encourage more trailers like this. There is no way BTG can just stand on it's own like in some type of oasis. It's CBS's daytime and they should promote all of their shows.

OMG, hearing this background music... made my heart skip a beat. OMG.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Steffy in the cage gave BOLD the only good buzz and bump in ratings the show had last year

I'm more lost as to why they used the most unpopular chemistry free couples on BOLD/YR except for Jack/Diane

I mean Courtney Hope and Jason Thompson out there begging people to give Sally/Billy a chance lol lol lol

Oh and the scream was Electra from BOLD when she saw the pictures Remy had of her in his bathroom

@dragonflies thanks for the info on the scream from the promo.

So that's three scenes from the same B&B storyline in the combined BTG/B&B/Y&R promo

B&B: Will Spencer and Remy fighting (re: Electra) from Jan. 2, 2025.

B&B: Electra screaming  -- that's from when she sees the the wall in Remy's apartment full of deepfake photos that Remy made of her - from the end of the Dec. 26, 2024 episode.

B&B: Electra running down the street after she escapes from Remy, from Dec. 31, 2024.

I haven't watched or read much on the Remy/Electra/Will storyline.  Was it any good?  Is this something B&B should feel worth promoting?  Is the Will/Remy romance popular?  I'm not snarking here, I just honestly don't know because I wasn't following it.

We are two at that, she's probably my favorite Y&R Character right now, one of the few with some layers!

Did I Miss Something here? Or was it a typo?

Anyway BTG definitely needs some of the viewers of the other soaps to get off the ground, ALL THAT MONEY CAN'T BE IN ANY WAY WASTED! The other shows need some investment to recoup their quality, with B&B the simplest Way would be to give Bradley a long vacation! And get someone with fresh ideas to write!

that would mean B&B Finally had the Representation so many people complained it lacked!

    • One of the dumbest situations (Lando) ever. What audience member is going to invest in a storyline with a recast they don't like and a triangle where one character is short-term? It bombed as it should have done. So much of JFP's tenure just reeks of desperation. I don't get how someone could produce SB (which did have flaws but was often brilliant) but make so many terrible mistakes at GL.   I still think JFP would have worked better as a director and music supervisor. Her music work at SB was top notch.

    • We see the same with GH, where Mark Teschner, the casting director, reportedly has less say since Frank Valentini took over. Some producers want to take over every aspect of their shows.  I think Lando may have been a CBS push.
    • No idea but she won Emmys & she was the Casting Director at the same time for both ATWT & GL. She hired Lisa Brown with no job for her. Then Marland made Brown his muse so he created both Iva & Nola for her. But, I think we know that Jill does what Jill wants.
    • I did notice a decline in the quality of the performers being cast once Betty R vacated/retired from her position. We would have been spared from the nightmares of some of the castings that dominated the show in the last decade or so of the soap. JFP was an example of someone, no matter the gender, who had no business being in the position they were in.
    • If Betty Rea was the casting director, why was so much of GL during JFP's reign cast by her? Walker, Deas, Crampton, Lando, etc. JFP takes credit for Dusay as well. What is the point of having a casting director, if you don't let her do her job? What happened when Rea left?
    • So much on here slips my mind but this is the first I remember hearing of Peterson's passing. Very sad. Nell was a thankless role, clearly set up for a cheating storyline with Frank, but Peterson did her best.  Betty Rea Rea was the casting director for the soap opera “Guiding Light” from 1970 to 1996 and simultaneously the casting director for “As the World Turns” from 1979 to 1983.
    • Sorry, just one more post on the Thorntons. How did Ruth and Edna feel about each other prior to Tad dating Dotty?
    • I can't remember exactly but I think it may be 1995 as Jake was trying to hide from a loan shark.
