I would be optimistic about this if it wasn't for the fact that Frank is still there, and anyone that is hired to replace Chris and Dan will merely just be puppets.

The article says she's interim HW lol. She's the Carly lover, hence my "God help us all"

Yeah, I know. Apparently that's what Navell thinks. But, she's not. And, technically she is a Jason/Carly/Sonny lover.

Korte is pretty hated on social media. She's often referred too as "KKKorte" 😶

Didn't know that.

I imagine Sprina are on their way out anyway, so this situation will be a powder keg.

Feels like Carly is already in a very strong position on the canvas as it is, so I wonder if Korte already has a great deal of influence.

Korte is into three people: Sonny, Carly, Jason & they are all prominent, well, Jason will be again just as soon as he's back. But, it's not because of her that they are prominent.

The only reason I want Jason to return is to see Drewfus' face crack lol. Carly will drop him like a bad habit LMAO

Well, things could change with a new guy leading the team but I believe they have too much invested in Sprina not to try to continue it.

Exactly. Nothing changes unless ABC really invests in overhauling the show and making Frank step back from creative control vs. what he's good at (budget), which will not happen.

People have despised Liz Korte since at least the early 2000s for various reasons but she's been there a very long time. I don't know what is feasible to actually blame on her.

I continue to have faith in Frank. But, I don't know what you mean by puppets. Every HW has to get everything approved.

Can someone give me a rundown of what’s good/bad/wrong with the current HW team? I don’t watch GH anymore but tuned in for the weeks dealing with Bobbie’s death and found the episodes compelling and very well done.

Ooh someone's saying Frank's job isn't all that secure either, but I don't know if that source is reliable lol

They would not decide the conclusion of a story ahead of time but instead would make it up as they went along.

The show is very unbalanced with too much Sonny, Nina, Carly, Jason.

The pacing is off.

STories go on far too long.

To be fair Jason/Sonny/Carly have been front center since mid 90‘s and Sam since mid 00‘s

If that happens then you've got a real incendiary mix. I have many issues with Frank's stewardship but I'm not sure anyone else could've kept the show afloat for the last decade, let alone save it in 2012.

The current HWs seem like nice guys with a lot of spirit. Their stories often don't work but IMO that is down to Frank. I have seen what it looks like when Frank steps in before at more than one show. He keeps the trains running but avoids anything too edgy and keeps the show in stasis. He perfected this banality with the terrible Passanante/Altman run, which O'Connor and Van Etten has somewhat been a step up from. He controls the stories, he controls the pacing and the focus as far as I can see it. It's similar to when JFP micromanaged her soaps, pre-Guza.

Right. Nina is now a point making it a quad.
